theres this app but it doesnt get good reviews so you will have to try it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.screenrecorder
you could also try
http://droid-at-screen.ribomation.com/download/
iv used it and you can connect your phone via adb to your pc and you can view your android screen on your pc
you can then take screenshots or you could set it to take continuous screenshoots - you can then take all these screen shots and import them into a video editor to make a kind of animation although it wont be as smooth as true hd video!
or you could even use pc screen video recorder to record the window on your pc that is showing your android screen

This ASC Recorder works for Galaxy y. It also records audio from speakers.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.benzul.asc
(but 20 seconds limit for free. To remove limit buy with In-app purchase).
or use my SGY PC-Tools (link in my signature) and use HyperCam or Fraps for windows to record that screen.

Well, in my defense, you were incredibly vague in your original question...
You're looking for alternative video recording apps?
Another video related question....
Regardless of what app I'm using, I always have like a 15sec limit on video...how can I change the recording limit? Also, where is the option to change the saving location?
I am using a 32gb sd card, so I should have plenty of space. I'm still kind of new to Android, so these two things could be an easy fix and I just don't know how to do it.. Thank for any help.
Maybe you are on MMS setting, tap on upper left icon and change resolution from MMS to WVGA. It records always on microSD card, you cannot change that.
You nailed it, it was set on mms.. I figured it was something simple. Thanks for you help!

Did you go into the settings in skype and enable video calling? I am on 2.3.3 overcome kratos and that's all I had to do. Last time I used it only the back camera would work for video chat, there wasn't even an option to use the front camera. But the rear camera was working for me.

The better the plicacion stock as long as you have a cooked rom, usually all usually have that option, which is very valid and no cumbersome.
If having to install soware seconds.

Did you ever figure out a way to record it?
I had used this app on my evo 3d with no issues.
..now it doesnt work on the Galaxy s4...records my voice only..
just wondering if you figured it out?
Using "another call recorder" on 9505 stock not rooted. Works flawlessly just have to set outgoing delay above 0. Recording via bt headset also works perfectly.
Slig, searched for that in google Play without any luck. Do you have a link?
Thank you in advance.

Thanks.
What are your settings for:
Recording format:
and
Audio Source:
defaults: 3gp and voice_call
The only setting in recording i've changed is that delay. I've set it to value of 2. When it was zero outgoing recording was failing from time to time.
I'm using this app in auto recording mode with few numbers excluded. My save folder is located on sd card.

Followed your exact instructions...doesnt work.
I made a few calls and it said it was recording. Now each recording is exactly 641 bytes and cannot be opened (the built in player opens and shuts right down), tried other media players and accessed the recording in the ACR folder without any luck as well...;. I'm on T-mobile service but i dont think it matters.... weird...
I downloaded version version 4.3 from the market. not sure which one you are using.
I have version 4.3 from the market. Don't know why it behaves so weird in your case. My rom version is MEA. There is also program called Galaxy Call Recorder which worked on my phone. Maybe try this one.
My phone isnt rooted....
I'm using this app now thanks to Slig.. works reliably with my unrooted S4

Ok..
So, it has a manual function (key) for recording calls.
But, it doesn't play the recordings? Asks for root for playing those?
If It is .amr file then it can be played by normal music players
There are many ways to play that recording. No root access is needed. One of the simple way is to install ES file explorer and play that file using any audio player e.g. google play music.
hit thanx or like post if helpful.

Thanks a lot bro!

sorry for that. I found this trick later.

inbuilt featue is not automatic
The inbuilt recording feature is not automatic. Amd it also produce beeps while recording. The best solutin is install free app from google play store named: ACR Automatic call recorder. Its the best and doesnt records dialing or ringing sounds. it records only the conversation. Lot of facilities too like save the recording, sorting datewise etc.
I dont think that third party call recording works in Yureka without root.
The inbuilt call recording needs to be enabled on a call to call basis.
Any tweaks for this?
Edit:
Solution: Use Smart Auto Call Recorder
