Nice work just one question kernel is the last one from ketut?
Amazing. Now I'm hesitating between speed 7.2 and battery 7.1 versions
Oh, I want to ask is status bar transparent too? Like in MiUi roms? I mean the status bar itself not the notifications slide - i know this is transparent...

Hi guys, can you tell me wich is the fastest ever rom for daily use?
Thx!
My champion ROM now is Acudroid. Today I am using it with Red Pill 2.0.1 kernel.
Smooth and slick.

No way to tell. Only try it yourself. The choice should not be / and will not be made on by the fastness...
Definitely AOPK or CM9. Much better than any Gingerbread rom I've tried.
Gesendet von meinem Galaxy Nexus mit Tapatalk
CM9 and Hyperdroid are my 2 favorite ROM's. Hyperdroid doesn't work with 1 game though (T-Aiko!), and CM9 isn't supported on an app I beta test, so I tend to switch back and forth between the ROM's
My favorite roms BOCA rc1 final project ( fastest benchmarks)
i get myself root then use spareparts+ and cf-root tweak manager, and i get myself a smoother and faster response.
mine is build number dxjpi, root using kernel cf-root 3.3 jq1 (android 2.3.3).

Overcome isn't bad I guess, but I much prefer Hyperdroid over Overcome
My favorite ROM is OVERCOME (Overcome 7 Series v4.1.0) .
I am using it with Overcome Kernel v4.0.0 and lsherif's RTL patch.
CM9. Tablet UI beats anything gingerbread can pull even if you lose the rear camera for photos, still it works on apps like angel camera but no flash. I installed cm9 and won't go back, ever.

Not sure it's the fastest, but certainly not far from it. The difference is the user interface; so user friendly that I'm finally really using my SGT.
I tried the CM9 2 days ago but I find that it's not quite smooth when viewing web pages whether I used Dolphin browser, Opera, Chrome or the stock browser. Any way to overcome this?
I'm mainly using Opera mobile (not mini) on CM9 + latest humberos kernel and browsing is pretty smooth.
I have tried a few different roms on my Tab and IMO Overcome 4.1.0 and 4.0.0 are my favs as far as speed and stability its the best for daily use I have no probs on my Tab at all...
For me, its a toss between hyperdroid and boca rc1.

Get CM9 here.
Flash ROM, then the kernel for your tab version and then the Gapps for CM9. You're welcome.
Hi all, there are many roms un development section but i m confused which one to flash...can someone help me? Which one is the fast smooth JB rom? And with which kernal?? Currently using PA2.54 very slow...

There is dozens of this exact thread in the Nexus S forums. A few active and talking right now in this very sub forum. Its all a matter of personal opinion. Do some searches, read some reviews, flash and try and base your decision by your use cause no one uses their phone the same way with the same signals.

You seem new to roms, its probably best for you to start out with this combination:
ROM: Cyanogenmod 10 Nightlies
Kernel: Default CM10 kernel
or
ROM: Rasbeanjelly
Kernel: Trinity kernel
Also heres a popular list of roms and kernels
ROMs: CM10 Nightlies, Slimbean, Blackbean, Rasbeanjelly, Strawberry
Kernels: Marmite, Matrix, Trinity, Air
You can find all of them here.

You need to wipe everything (except sdcard) if you're moving from a different rom (PA)
Just do a nandroid/titanium backup and everything will be fine.

CM10 is your best bet, other ROMs like Rasbeanjelly+Trinity is also good too but it's more likely a gimmick imo.
Definitely start out with CM10. I just recently got into flashing custom ROMs on my Nexus S (was rocking stock for a long time), and CM10 + Marmite kernel (smartassV2, cfq, 200/1000) is my preferred setup.
I've also tried my luck with Slimbean and Strawberry 4.1.2, but both of them always had little annoyances that you simply don't have to worry about with CM10. That being said, the AOSP-based ROMs like Strawberry and Slimbean do run very smoothly. I do plan on trying out AOKP, however, as it has a TON of customization options and appears to be pretty polished overall.
Slim Bean is the best rom for me, but I can customize everything so I have no problem. For most people it's better to use CM10 and the Jelly Bean 4.2 gapps.

Both the ROM and kernel can have an effect on gaming performance. Try testing out another kernel to see if anything improves.
Like I said earlier, I highly recommend Marmite for the Nexus S. It has great performance and battery life.

Hi, I just rooted my Nexus S (Mobilicity) the first time and I have some question here:
1. Should I just install this CM10 nightly cm-10-20121115-NIGHTLY-crespo.zip (seems to be the latest) ?
2. I found gapps 4.2 here ]highonandroid.com/android-apps/googleapps-4-2-for-android-jelly-bean-roms-gapps/, Can I use this for CM10?
3. Do I need to flash radio for CM10?

1. Yes, that's the latest nightly. Should be very stable, as far as I know.
2. DO NOT download that gapps file. The one linked in that article has the old, ugly prototype keyboard and has force closes up the anus. You can search this forum for better packages of the 4.2 Google Apps, but they are all still a little too buggy or incomplete for my tastes.
3. No need to flash a radio. CM will not overwrite your current one.

Hi guys
in my experience, the best combo is:
ROM: CodenameAndroid 3.5.0
Kernel AirKernel stable r2
the battery life is very good, there is no lag and with new ADW launcher, homescreen and drawer are very smooth
Hello users, this is a releases of a rom that i made myself
it's based on cyanogenmod 6.1.0 stable/---> nightly coming out soon
now most users say cyanogenmod 6.1.0 is fast like hell but ugly as ****?
but will some users say that to this cyanogenmod 6.1.0 i have made it's fast like hell and beautiful and that's something we all wanted right?
-inital release
- new bootanimation
- based on cm6
- removed useless apps
- installed apps from cm7
- 2.2.1
that's it for now
HOW TO FLASH!
1. Download STONE. COLD Cyanogenmod 6.1.0 and the GAPSS MPDI
2. Put them on the root of your SD card
3. Go to recovery if you know how to
4. wipe data,cache,dalvick cache
5. Flash STONE. COLD Cyangoenmod 6.1.0 and GAPPS MPDI
6. Reboot and wait for approximately 5 minutes
7. Once booted start setcpu well first your going to have to install it go to my mediafire folder check there :]
MOD-EDIT: Warez link removed
8. Setcpu to 710mhz - 352 mhz performance or install i kernal that has a smartass like this one http://www.mediafire.com/download/zgey59z19rt0cr1/SympKernV4.5.zip
This kernal has a smartass i didnt test it but if you want you can test it but make a backup first please i don't want to be responsible if something goes wrong with your device :/
Also install crossbreeder i hear that this XDA member said that it boosts up your device so here it is
http://www.mediafire.com/download/7r6v259i3yfgyol/CrossBreeder_5.21.13.zip
Here is the cyanogenmod 6 rom by me and gapps
http://www.mediafire.com/download/14n697wd667uczs/STONE._COLD_Cyanogenmod_6.1.0.zip
http://www.mediafire.com/download/94mhvz948q315w2/gapps-mdpi-20110501-signed.zip
It's best if you don't flash a kernal in this rom because i just tried out this rom i put on sympkern 4.5 stick with HDCR . jacob kernal i hear it's for everyrom
if you flash this kernal you device won't get no services or wifi so please don't flash
btw don't ask why on earth i put this kernal up on still it's for experimental if your intrested in trying

hi,
i want to ask who is the more stable roms for Ideos X5? (not the pro)
i want a stable and fast rom, and if it is possible not take all the battery.
for fast rom it is better to stay in android 2.3? or i can have and good results with 4.x?
the 4.x roms need more memory from the 2.3?
Thanks for any answer

So today i have try the AuroraSP.
I have recovery 5.0.2.8 (and i have try with 5.0.2.7)
I have make full wipe (data, cache, dalvik)

thanks for this, i have use ezet's CM 7.2 and it is good.
I have see that you have use AuroraSP (in your signature).
How about speed and battery about ezetCM7 and AuroraSP? it is similar or not?
Also you have any idea what is wrong in my previous post?
thanks a lot
Hello, first of all you should install official 2.3 gingerbread from Huawei and root it. After that you should be able to install aurora without problem.
There is a thread on the developer section on how to install and root official Rom.

Speed is better on Aurora that's for sure and about battery i don't remember well i don't have CM7 and haven't tried anymore more than 1 year but drains a little more if you use 2G and turn off Wifi and then you can save battery.
If must have GB on your phone after that you should install any other custom roms since from CM7 to CM 10 and of course Aurora too. Remember when update from different kernel please format system, data and cache with together all 3 wipes.
