Hey Guys,
so I'm on my 3rd nook HD+ and all 3 had some sort of flicker when i open an app that's already running (CM10.2 and CM11). I've been tinkering with the Nova options and as soon as I switched the opening app animation from stock to slider (I believe it's on nova prime only) there were no more flickers to be seen. I'll post a video sometimes this afternoon.

I'm using Nova launcher too(not prime) and I too had the flickering problem, but after some days, it disappeared on its own(I didn't change any nova settings)
I had this problem with CM11 with the stock launcher it only seemed to happen in landscape.
Only way I could fix was with fresh install of CM11.
Restored all my settings/apps made new backup and all is good.
I was able to find the culprit. Wallpapers are the problem. If you are on Nova and set a Wallpaper with "Portraitmode - Tool", the flashing will start. If you use the default Tool (where you can see portrait and landscape outlines), it is gone.

Probably because you changed your Wallpaper.

Apologies for posting this here, but I do not post often and I don't want to post nonsense replies to get above the 10 post requirement to get into the dev forums.
I am currently using twa_priv's JB Rom on my Fire with Apex as my launcher. My question, though, is about Nova Launcher. When I try using Nova Launcher, the icons on the desktop are incredibly unresponsive. There are times where I can tap around on multiple icons and have nothing happen and then other times, it works ok for a bit. I haven't had this kind of problem with any other app or launcher and it only started with Nova when I switched to Jelly Bean. I've tried adjusting the Touch Filter in twa_priv's ROM, but it seems like a problem specific to Nova since apex works beautifully.
I was just wondering if anyone else has similar issues or if there is some cause that I am missing.
sometimes this happens to me with nova, but its not that frequent, and it used to happen to me with nova and any other launcher on ICS roms. I havent tried any other launchers on a JB rom though.
Settings, Advanced. Change the touch screen filter level. I like about 70, some say 50, others 30. Find what works for you.
Turning it up to 70 did the trick. Thanks!

I've just been playing with Nova and have found that it's a good bit faster than Apex. Surprised me.
so I installed the latest update for TiBu, and I performed a system backup. after completion, my wallpaper reverted back to stock, and when I try to change it by long pressing on the home screen and selecting wallpapers, I get an error message saying that the "app is not installed".
I also tried going into the gallery app, selecting a picture, and choosing "set picture as", the app force closes.
I tried using the stock launcher and the holo launcher, but to no avail. I was on the modded framework.apk, but even after reverting back to the original framework (and disabling LMT), I still cannot change my wallpaper. I'm wondering if TiBu had anything to do with it?
Is there an app that actually applies a wallpaper?
thanks!
Zedge allows you to apply then from within the app

Good idea. I was able to get it to work via picasa tool app.
Still odd that I could no longer do it from the home screen.

weird, so this happened again! I performed a system data backup via TiBu, and the phone's wallpaper went back to stock - still cannot long press to change the wallpaper (or change it via gallery).
my only work around is to upload a pic to my picasa album, and then set it from there.
has anyone had this issue? I'm guessing I'm missing some app?

This sounds like one heck of an obnoxious hassle. Are you using a stock launcher? If not, each launcher has their gestures and such for what long pressing the screen would do. I'm assuming you're using the stock launcher but if not, check the gestures on the custom launcher.

Hi there,
Just bought my beautiful Nexus 10 and rooted it only (running stock ROM JB 4.2.2).
To replace original launcher I installed Nova Launcher (free edition) and it works great!
But I noticed a strange behavior, sometimes (randomly) when turning off the screen, and then unlocking the tablet, I get back on the stock Android launcher.
I have to launch Nova.
I checked in Nova settings and it is defined as the default launcher.
I'm thinking about installing a new ROM but if anyone has an idea.
Thanks

So, I was looking for a while how to remove the wallpaper on the lockscreen to match the one I have on my homescreen automatically. Some apps that apply wallpaper don't give you the option to select to change the lock screen, and the only way is to go through the touchwiz system wallpaper chooser, and it will prompt. Otherwise, I might have found a solution??
The trick is very simple, head over to the galaxy store and install good lock, then from the good lock settings uninstall it, and it will remove the lock screen wallpaper and it will match your homescreen if you change your wallpaper a lot. I also found if you changed the theme, you'd have to re-do the process over again. Make sure to select your favorite theme first before you do this.
Did anyone find a simpler solution? Please share if you have one!

Interesting... I was trying to figure this out to use with Muzei. I'm wondering why note 7 doesn't have the ability to choose lockscreen and homescreen wallpaper the way older galaxy's did.
Anyway will try this and report back
Um, all you have to do is go into your gallery, choose pic, choose set as wallpaper, and then select lockscreen..

Yeah but that only selects the wallpaper, it doesn't do anything else. It doesn't match. The objective is to match the same screen. I'll try with live wallpapers and repot

AND IT WORKS! Nice bug find!
I can finally set my Muzei homescreen to match my lockscreen.
I wonder why Samsung took this simple feature away

Um, no.
You can only choose wallpapers from your gallery but no third party option for wallpaper apps like Muzei or other live wallpapers

Awesome, glad to hear it worked for you. For a while, it was bugging me. Here is a funny thing. As I am using the phone now like that, sometimes after unlocking the phone, I see flashes of what appears to be stockish android before the tw launcher comes, barely noticeable and very interesting.

You're missing the point of Muzei... It's about having it automatically cycle.

Ohmigah.. stop I can only get so erect.
On a serious note, that is very interesting... A Galaxy device with stock Android UI plus unique Samsung features would be a Android fan's dream.
When I uninstall good lock my lock screen just reverts to the default wallpaper. Am I doing something wrong?
Nice find, OP! Made my day!

What I did was took a picture of the wall with my phone flat up against it in low-light with my screen darkened. Then I edit picture in gallery (darkness down, contrast down). I did that twice then saved it as a perfectly black picture then I set my wallpaper (home screen and lock screen), using TouchWiz.
Thanks for the tip. Now my live wallpaper is also now on my lock screen.

Good find,
Thanks!
Why doesn't this work for me?! I want my magic fluids lock screen!!!!!
Works great, thank you. Nice to have again live wallpaper on lock screen.
Currently "good lock" app is not available on Galaxy store, but it is available here:
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsun...lease/good-lock-24-0-12-android-apk-download/
Don't try other apps with the same name from Google play because it will not work.
There is also a way to do it. Download and set a live wallpaper as background on both desktop+lockscreen. Then unistall the lwp. There, both desktop+lockscreen should have a blank (black) background. Then when using an app like QuickPic that doesn't give an option to set wallpapers in both desktop+lockscreen, becouse all are blank, setting only desktop wall then lockscreen will also have the same (because it is transparent now)
Maybe some developer could make an app that removes the background wall from both desktop+lockscreen, that way it whould be much easier to do it.
I'm having a problem with Nova Launcher and it not being able to load a couple widgets, the widget just says problem loading widget when I put it on my screen. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps and Nova Launcher to no luck, the widgets load no problem on TouchWiz launcher. The thing is I am on the sac23 ROM and I've asked over there I haven't gotten an answer yet, but I have no problem with Nova and widgets on any other ROM that I have installed, so something is going on in the sac 23 ROM, but I'm curious if anyone has had a similar issue and might know what the problem is and how to fix it is?
Thanks
I got the same problem with Sac23 ROM as well.
Cant find the fix anywhere

Jumping in... I have this issue, same rom. Gmail schedule widget won't load.
---------- Post added at 04:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:20 PM ----------
It appears to be any widget with agenda view! Wild. Gmail, Outlook, Samsung all fail. But, calendar view widgets work!?
I have the exact same problem suddenly with the Evernote widget and Nova Launcher, except that I am on the stock ROM.
Is it the problem in Nova?
I have the same issue with evernote and nova. Did a factory reset on stock rom and no luck. Using Oneplus 6.
