Guys I might be screwed. I formatted my data because I thought this wouldnt delete the OS but it did. Now my phone is stuck on the LG logo screen. I cant put any roms on it or interact with it in any way. Is there some way I can get it working again?
Can you get into recovery?
If you can, then use ADB and push a Rom.zip and flash.

No, I'll look that up. G2 doesn't have a SD card right, so this cant be an option?
Okay so i managed to get back into recovery. I am using TWRP 2.7 and now I am trying to sideload a rom zip. BUT now i am stuck at "Starting ADB sideload feature..." in TWRP. What do I do??? How else am I going to get a rom file into my phone if my phone wont even be recognized by my computer through adb or otherwise?
Im not good in english but i can try.
I had ur same problem.
1) if u can let the pc recognize ur device as adb ( check it with right click on "computer" icon on your desktop ,manage , and search for the list of ur computer's devices), go on your twrp and in andvanced options put the phone as adb sideload , and don t touch it anymore. Then download "minimal adb and fastboot " (search in xda forum ) install the .exe ,open the folder installation, and right click on a any white space in the folder and start command prompt. Write adb devices to check if ur g2 is recognized by the pc. If it is all fine, frome there u can easy flash a rom (that u sould paste in the "minimal adb &fastboot " installation folder ) by tipyng adb sideload urRomName.zip then try to reboot.

Another possibility is using the usb-otg option , that can let u to copy any roms from an external usb plugged in your phone.
Actually i don t know how i did my pc recognize my g2 as adb. It just happened plugging the phone. Maybe i had some drivers already installed.

The problem is that when i plug my phone in during TWRP, it is not recognized by the computer at all. It doesn't show up anywhere. I've tried all 8 usb portson my computer with no luck. Thanks for your suggestion though. Seems like all hope is lost..
So I think my only option is to buy an OTG cable and mount usb-otg in twrp with a rom file in a usb drive or something. Anyone else know a workaround besides this? Please...
try this guy for sideloading?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559200
I have previusly installe the sdk manager. Tru to install sdk and his internal drivers.
I ve also installed "pda-net "that helped the pc to recognize the phone.
Maybe this 2 stuffs toghether were my fix to the adb problem.
I did so many trys that idk which was the correct one.
Q: when u plugg the device in recovery mode (twrp ) do u hear any sounds coming from the pc?
USB-OTG INFO
1)put the rom and gapp in ur usb key, eventually download the right kernel zip too .
2)plug the usb-otg. Wait for few seconds, and in the twrp menu -->mount-->usb-otg.
3) come back in the main twrp screen, click on install and scroll untill u see the usb-otg folder.
4)choose the zips and flash them.

Zero, I do hear a noise but it is different than what it usually sounds like when I plug something in. I'm guessing its the error sound? The phone does not show up on my computer. I will try the otg method when i receive my cable and hopefully it works.

So i tried the otg route but I can't mount it. I have everything connected and once I go into recovery to mount usb-otg, nothing happens.
I just need some way to get a ROM.zip in my phone
Computer does not recognize my phone.
Stuck at LG logo unless I enter recovery.
Sideload doesnt work.
OTG doesnt work.
I've tried at least 4 different guides with no luck.
Please, anyone know how to get my phone working again? I dont think my phone is bricked because I can still get into TWRP recovery with no problems. Theres just no OS..
its difficult for me explain well in english,, btw after u plugged the otg, go in the install folder (first check if in mount-->usb-otg is marked with an X.. ) then there look at the top of the screen, and push on the main title( internal storage, or something like that).. u should be able to see a new window pouping up in wich u can select internal s. or usb-otg.
if it does ur fine.. if u didn t understand me maybe i can take some picture for u tomorrow to guide you...but now i need some rest

I can't use Factory Reset 'cause i don't have backup of my photos on my cellphone. This photos is really important and have a big emotional value for me.

If your bootloader is currently unlocked you can flash a custom recovery and pull stuff off, otherwise you're out of luck.
Have the exact same problem!!! I made a thread on it but no replies. atm my phone is working, screen started functioning randomly again... it cant be a software prob cos im on complete stock (root), must be hardware but it still randomly works
Ok, I've put my flame suit on, but I swear I have tried everything. I am not a developer level guy by any means, but I've been installing custom roms since the OG droid. But this time I got distracted and clearly made a foolish mistake. I was installing XDABBEB's new rom and I totally flaked out and installed the bootstrap and the rom in the same flash. it obviously didn't work and even though I read the instructions, I tried to restore my rom from a backup. Now the only thing I can do is boot into fastboot.
I've tried a number of ways to get TWRP or CWM back onto my phone so I can sideload a rom onto it, but every time I try to fastboot a recovery file it says that "remote: image is not a boot image" or something. What I have gathered from my research is that I cant install a custom recovery unless I am rooted.
/
So, without a custom recovery and only fastboot at my disposal, where do I go from here?

I have a VS980S. I have tried the LG flash tool, but I can't get any of the numerous LG drivers to recognize my phone. I even tried dd commands in Ubuntu, but all it would do is try and mount volume after volume making it impossible to use the interface,

Sorry, what do you mean by "opening window in map"?
I was also in the same boat for 36 h, stuck on trwp recovery, no rom, no gaps in memory... I'm freely sailing now! I did this:
- press together power and lower button to get usb connecting screen, unplugged usb cable.
- LG tools installed and D-802 pilots {for me] installed, plug cable and check pilots again.
- launch in LG tools option for wrong install repair
- wait until the complete rom repair is installed, quite long, and then you win automatic reboot! You just loose root. Ioroot 25 again, that's all.
Hope it works for you chaps.

But try the llink provided ...it will wake up your phone ..! :good:
Believe me before doing any thing using your pc just try to change the usb port first, then let it install the driver automatically(if you're using w7/8)
if windows xp just dont plug your phone remove the old LG driver and then plug your phone to another usb port that the one you have used it before with your phone and install the driver, and then proceed....
Why i am telling you this?
because i had almost the same problem with my galaxy note 2..... it wasn't recognizing my phone until i changed my usb port in download
mode and let it istall the driver......
hope it'll help.......... :good:

Holy cow. This might be the last piece of the puzzle. I will report back after trying this.
I've dropped my N4 yesterday and the screen cracked.

a way to remove the password?
By the way, I have USB debugging enabled and my bootloader is unlocked...

If you can boot into your device try the commands I gave you from there. You have usb debugging enabled so it should work there too. The only problem is you could have to authorize the device with a screen touch.
Another alternative is from the bootloader
fastboot boot twrp.img ( where twrp.img is the full file name of the twrp image file)
That should boot you into twrp then you can use the adb commands.

This look's bad man.
Try power on your phone then
Plugin into your computer.
Open adb then type adb devices
When your device is listed type adb reboot recovery
If IT doesn't boot in recovery mode then You should try flashing again the rom.
Something should work.

if you've got fastboot (power + vol -)
you can fastboot (sort of like an adb) flash some system images and get your phone getting recognised by gnqc
you need :
ADB
boot.img from blu rom
system1.img from blu
right click on folder where adb and files are (they need to be on same folder for faster tipying)
write
fastboot flash system system1.img
fastboot boot boot.img
after that unplug phone, you need the drivers for blu, change cable from pc port and reconect to see if now it's recognized as a pure xl and check for the drivers.
It should install 2 com ports (hsusb, nmea) 1 adb, 1 modem and 1 storage
that is what i did to mine, hope it works on yours

You have to to try this, that is how i have unbricked mine today.
power off your phone.
prepare your gnqc so you only have to press download when needed.
power on your phone then conect fast to PC ,then press download.
If IT doesen't leț You ,pres again and just try to see If IT works in different situations.
is a long shot but this is how i unbricked mine today.
fastboot doesen't work on this device,so You can't push anithing. i don't know hou this people are doing that.
If this metod doesn't work You shold try format system and data via adb . and after that gnqc should work.

fastboot doesen't work on this device,so You can't push anithing. i don't know hou this people are doing that.
If this metod doesn't work You shold try format system and data via adb . and after that gnqc should work.

He can't use GNQC because his phone's drivers arent insatlled, gionee blocks com ports, and fastboot does work on this device, you just got to flash it, i've been using it several times
A thing to notice is when you want to acces phone storage when phone is bricked You have to poweroff your phone and keep pressing power and volume+ untill some errors start appear in windows.
then You have acces to phone memory and You can paste anithing for later flash with recovery. You must Be very carefull not to format partition when asked !!!!!!
i have bricked my gionee 32 gb several times and always been albe to restore it so,no need to panic, some method should work for You too ,just have to find the right one.
And also,my phone is a rebrand of gionee from Romania, called Allview x1 xTreme, just like life pure Xl and i haven't encountered any problem with usb drivers, just used the one gionee provided. So this mai Be the case for You, i hope i am not wrong with this one.
Com ports are only closed in android 4.4 kitkat so If he didn't update he should Be able to use gnqc.
also You must observe that phone is recognised differently by windows deppending in wich state your phone is. powered off, recovery,or on bootloop. So that's why o have said that gnqc may work but You have to find that state when he is recognised the way that gnqc wants.
Sorry for long post i Hope those observations will help you.

Hello All,
i am tired and done everything to fix my lg g2 download mode. i've done all adb and fastboot methods but when i write "fastboot erase recovery" it stucks and nothing happening. In my device manager Android ADB Interface driver installed but when type in cmd "adb devices" its not listed. im using windows 7 and im done everything.... if anywhere im doing something wrong plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz tell me or guide how to fix my lg g2 d802 fastboot issue...
in fastboot it showing me
1400 - fastboot mode started
1530 - reset -
1540 - portchange -
1800 - fastboot: processing commands
i will be really thankfull for your guidance...
Thank u jessica but still stuck
Thank you miss jesica for response.
I tried that adb drivers that u mention in link but same issue facing device not listed when i type adb drivers.
There are no official lollipop kdz to install in Lg g2 D802, so is that necessary to download that drivers one u mention in link?
When 1st time i face this problem, device manager showing me only android (no qhusb_xxx or qualcome whatever name it is) only showing android in unknow device.
Then i install lge adb interface driver from lg universal drivers from their extracted folder then lg g2 start giving fastboot and process commands in smartphone but when i try erasing recovery and laf its stuck or nothings happening.
And how do I disabled driver enforcement?
Thank You
And also there no yellow mark or any unk device.

A few questions, in device manager what does it show with your device? any yellow question marks in device manager?
Did you install fastboot and adb? Did you make sure any other drivers were uninstalled first? Including your LG driver if you have the LG PC suit software installed, remove it.
-- Typically the fast way to fix this issue is to remove all the drivers and reboot your computer, definitely reboot the computer afterwards.
Keep your phone disconnected from your computer during the following:
Then install this: ADB&Fastboot installer
Again, make sure you right click and run as administrator and Select Y(es) for all.
It has the newest driver for Android 5.0+ After you install it, install the latest driver from lg here:
Restart your computer, plug in your device and let it install any drivers.
Make sure you've enabled USB debugging on your phone. Power off your phone, reboot into recovery and plug it into your computer, if any drivers install, allow them to do so.
Go ahead now with what you were going to do, IF you still have problems let me know.
-Have you disabled driver enforcement from Windows? You may want to do that so youll never have problems with that doing anything on any device.

My Download Mode Corrupt and my problem is im facing fastboot mode started...
so i read forums it telling us how to fix fastboot but when im doing what they are say nothing happening....
im attaching my device manager android drivers plz have a look.
Jessooca said:
First... STOP with what you're typing into adb! Why are you telling it to erase anything?! How about you tell me what you're actually wanting to accomplish before you end up bricking your phone by sending the wrong command to your phone.
What country/carrier/model of G2 D802 are we fixing?
--I can get whatever LG tot/kdz is needed to fully return you to stock which will give you the recovery back etc....
What are you trying to do exactly, return your device to stock? is it just stock recovery that's your issue?
How are you running the adb command exactly? right click run as administrator on "command prompt"?
Download this and extract it
]
As for the drivers and everything I said to install, always install the latest drivers etc, so I would install the ones I suggested and uninstall yours first. Mine is adb and the fastboot drivers, so install the one I suggested and be sure to restart your computer after and try the adb list command again
From device manager uninstall the device, it should give you the option (a checkmark box) to delete the driver as well, do this then refresh device manager. Now right click your phone in device manager, select update driver software, Select "Browse my computer option", then select "browse" and find the driver you just downloaded. Install that and you should be good to go!
Let me know how this goes

disabling driver signature enforcement has nothing to do with awindows. Only with you wanting to use a driver that is "unsigned" when installing something onto your computer.
Power it off and restart your computer. While you're doing so, press the button on the back of your phone and power it off. Leave it off for AT LEAST 2 minutes, WITH IT OFF, plug in the usb cable into the phone. Now hold the VOLUME UP BUTTON on the back of your G2, Do NOT let go of this button, plug in the other end of the usb into your computer and tell me what happens, wait a minute or 2 to see what it does

I am having difficulty trying to understand whether you just don't understand what I am saying, or what. You said when you enter "fastboot mode pressing volume+..."
Can you give me a screen shot, or a picture of your G2 what it looks like after you've unplugged it completel, powered it off.
Let it sit a few minutes, (to make sure it's fully powered off!) then plug in the usb cord into the phone, then holding Volume UP (DONT let go) plug the other end of the usb into your computer. I'd like to see a screen shot (or a picture) of what your screen shows when you do this.

---Do the following steps exactly as follows, this should work.
Lets start over, sorry. I am going to simplify this for you.
Unplug your phone. Fully Power off your phone {just because the screen is dark doesn't mean it's fully powered off, which is why I say wait a few minutes before the next step}
Now with your phone powered off, plug in the usb into your phone. (do this first, dont plug it into your computer yet)
-Hold down the Volume UP button and while still holding it down, plug it into your computer. Do NOT let go of the Volume UP button. You should see download mode, if you still see the same screen you've been seeing, lets continue....
Looking at your "C" drive or whatever your hard driver letter is on your computer, when you open the C drive so you see a folder that says "adb" (not in program files or program files x86)?
IF you DO see a folder that says "adb" look in that folder you should see fastboot, let me know if you do or do not have it in there.
--Download this and put the file into the adb folder. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952614130 (Do not rename the file, leave it as "recovery")
- If you do have the adb folder with fastboot in it, do the following:
go back into the C drive, Hold the SHIFT BUTTON (dont let go), now right click on the "adb" folder {do not open it!} and select "Open Command Window" once the black box appears, let go of SHIFT.
--type the following items into command: fastboot erase recovery
-- type: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
and finally type: fastboot reboot

Do what I just advised in my last post, before changing your chip out or whatever you plan on doing. It should work.
