[Q] problem in my samsung galaxy y after rooting

Hello folks,
Yesterday I followed this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679563) and root my phone. But after using one day I didn't feel good using jelly bean on my galaxy so I decided to unroot my phone and revert it back to my previous version that was android 2.3.6 gingerbread. I unroot my phone and did factory reset from recovery mode but now my phone is not working and even recovery mode is not opening. It is just showing starting logo. Please someone help me to fix this problem so i can get back my phone.

Use Odin to flash a fresh stock rom. It will solve your prob. :good:

My mobile only displays the starting logo please help.
Chetan or some body please help me my galaxy y displays only staring logo.
I rooted and unrooted this caused a big massive damage to my phone please help.

Dont panic that is noo big problem.
U just need to flash a stock rom via Odin nd it will be OK
Find tutorials in my signature nd read it all :good:

first of all u had noooooo idea on how to revert back to stock rom and u did some **** -_-
next u wana do something u dont know how to do
ask how to do it
rather than asking hoe to fix the problem u caused

how did u restore?
try flash rom via odin

try a custom rom

After again rooting problem
pls..help me. my phone galaxy y already rooted. and i was again root it for original version but after rooting it's not start it's only start with android logo come. and also volume up + home + switch off button was not work. pls tell how to start my phone with original version ...

i using odin but my phone was not diteceted in odin bcoz volume up + switch off + home button not work so i am not put my device in recovery mode. what do for my device will show in odin.

well you dont use recovery mode for odin you use download mode
vol down home button power button
also you need samsung usb drivers installed
if you dont know how to use odin please search for a guide

volume down button was work but drive not install proparly in pc.pls tell me any link where download driver and install it manually

thanks bro... My phone was connected after samsung driver install. i first download on one link but it was not able connected.
my phone was stated with original android 2.3.6. again thanks....

Brick problem

Hey guyz i think my sgy is brick
then i decide to flash but whenever i go to recovery its stay 5 second and automatically switchoff

go to the download mode and flash stock rom.Search google on how to flash a stock rom on galaxy y.

What did you do before your phone got bricked?

download the correct firmware package for your country

i brick my phone...

my phone is samsung galaxy y duos.
I try to install jellybean in my phone so my phone brick.
I search for how to recover phone i find this site .
I install firmware as here instrustion given .
As here say after odin disdlay pass your device ready to use .
But in my case after odin procedure complete direct recovery mode open and at the bottom messege show that
status 7
installation aborted.
And after rebooing my phone only show samsung logo.
Please help me...

To start off with there's no jellybean for galaxy y - it's probably a themed Gingerbread rom
Status 7 means the zip you are trying to flash in Cwm is corrupted or the update script is wrong
Don't know what it means in odin but I'm guessing wrong firmware or you haven't split it into its 3 parts for odin use
You need to flash stock rom via odin from the following thread - choose the firmware from your geographical region
Unzip firmware
Place
pda in pda
Modem in phone
csc in csc

Try a different one
use a different version of odin (I use v3.8)
Uninstall kies (conflicts with odin)
make sure samsung drivers are installed

You can only try different things
all odin flashable firmware is on the thread iv given you
The latest firmware is on sammobile.com however it is not odin flashable - you need to use the split tool (link on thread iv already given you) To create an odin flashable pack
search sammobile.com for your phone model number eg GT-S5360 in my case but yours will your duos gt-number

ok i will go for it.
BUt i have another galaxy y duos file it can intstall in my phone(not odin its from update from the sd card ) but last installation aborted
this time not status 7 .
Do you know why this message apear because every time firmware not wrong!

First, i do not know if you know but pro Y Duos, the firmwares of Y normal not serves ... By xda there are roms ODIN for the Y Duos, and also try some rom via CWM Recovery.
AND stay tuned. Nothing jellybean compatible with the SGY.

never go to Samsung care
guess what today i go to Samsung care to fix my phone ( if u read this thread so u know very well why i go ).
i just go there and said him to flash my phone .
he said price for flash phone is Rs.300
i say ok .
than he come after 5 minutes and say your phone can't restore if u want than change your mother board of your phone its price he said Rs.1500
i take my phone and go to other mobile shop and tell him to flash my phone and my phone fix in only Rs.150
so never go to Samsung care unless your phone is in warranty .

Oh I wasn't bothered with that post - I found that quite amusing that someone who works in samsung care couldn't perform a basic flashing task even with extra hardware equipment
I quoted the person under that who said flash stock rom via odin as they had clearly not read the thread & the fact your problem is now solved

salamat. now i have a problem on odin mode. pc always say "cant recognized usb port" even after installung kies together with its drivers. funny thing is when im not on download mode, the pc 'can' surprisingly detect my phone. i just want to flash a firmware that is compatible here in phil or if any bad thing happens at least i can reflash via odin. anyway i think i have to try it again later. thanks for your replies.

try removing sim & battery then try to use odin. the letter at the end is to indicate the firmware region i think. when i bought my phone it was s5360L now its s5360B. you will need a firmware with bandbase that works for your region or you will get service problem (not register on network).

I desperately need stock recovery for my samsung galaxy s3 neo gt i9301i.......

Trying to reset my rooted galaxy s3 neo gt i9301i to factory state and i need a stock revovery.I downloaded my firmware also extracted the recovery.img into desktop then tried to flash it to odin via pda but nothing happens....Can someone give a download link to their stock room similar to my model??(using cwm atm)

In my opinion best way to get back to stock recovery is flashing a firmware through odin.
