Hello people. I have to ask one question about my LG L5 E610.
My L5 E610 has stock 4.1.2 baseband 20G, most updated to date, I updated via KDZ updater.
I already rooted and installed custom ROM on three differents phones, ZTE and Samsung, never had any problems, so I can say that I have some experiences, but in case of samsung, for use warranty, is needed to install everything stock and reset flash counter, so I wonder if my E610 will be needed the same procedures ?
I'm thinking of installing CM10.2 on my LG L5 E610, I believe one day I will do this, but then I need to know how to install back EVERYTHING STOCK IN CASE OF WARRANTY, but never found tutorial about it, never heard if LG has flash counter, but I bet doesn't have.
anyone can tell me if it's possible or explain me how to install stock ROM, stock Recovery and stock Kernel after customizate everything on E610 ?
Never heard about flash counter.
For returning all to stock (as far as i know) you must have 2 kdz
1: v10d_downgrade , made by someone in 4pda, search it over internet. Its special because it wipes out everything, others kdz just flash up system and that's it, if you already have a bootloop or have a custom rom that may be not compatible with stock, normal kdz wont boot at all.
2: your OFFICIAL stock kdz for your VERSION (e610/e612/e612g/f, etc) get it from here
In case you want to return to stock, boot in download mode (hold vol - / + while connecting usb cable until vibrate) and flash it up. Flash v10d... let it boot (it'll be in russian lol) and then flash your normal kdz (by booting in download mode again)
Then, you can try anything you want (pls, don't mess with swap partition, 2 phones are almost hard-bricked while playing with that and it couldn't flash kdz either!)
Good Luck!
just use the kdz updater

it's thing from Samsung, if users flash the custom rom, the phone will show how much custom ROM was flashed, it can be consulted in warranty that the phone has already flashed and the warranty will be voided. but there does exist methods to do reset flash counter, but I guess only Samsung phones do have it.
but what happens if I have everything custom and then flash the normal KDZ like 20g baseband ? Will be bricked ? and can be unbricked ?
the flash counter can be removed by triangle

my phone has root, free bootloader and with custom ROM and CWM.
KDZ updater won't work on Windows 8.1, installed msxml and put compatibility/administrator and no luck.
is there another way to flash downgrade v10 ?

maybe I got very recent KDZ or I have update 1 of Windows 8.1
So I have a LG G2 D800...well that's what the IMEI sticker says... the phone software detects a d802 international version anyway after rooting it all fine and dandy I go to install a custom recovery I tried twrp and cwm both give out a boot certification verify error, my first thought was that it was bricked but I unplugged it and it rebooted fine. So I have no idea whats going on here and why I can't install a custom recovery.
I just did get this phone back from lg over a bad flash, the flash went so bad that the lg techs said the board was bad and replaced the motherboard.
So any help or ideas why I can't flash twro or cwm to it?

if it is now on kitkat then you need to use autorec; a little concerned about it being d800 showing d802 after being sent back by lg

I'm not sure if it just says that because it's been rooted, but I had to send it into lg because it was either Odin or lg flash recovery that said the dll file was wrong and I couldn't find any way to fix it so I tried recovering it in fastmode and the bootloader some how got screwed.
If I use AutoRec and don't have a custom recovery how easily can it become bricked?
Actually it says whats exactly in your sig, LG G2 D800 on D80020U
And like I mentioned my phone is already rooted so could I just run this root to overwrite it or just go back to stock?

well first if it is d800 it should always say d800 whether it has been rooted or modified(I own a d800 and do lot's of modding always making sure it will say d800 as model number)
yes autorec can brick a device but only if you are using the version which is not for your device and to fix involves a lot of work
to return to complete stock you have use the lg flash tool and tot method

ok then, you should be good to go for using autorec for d800 but after using it you will not be able to use knock on/knock code because it does not have updated kernel for d800 which incorporates knock on/code and I suggest you make a backup and then flash a custom kernel with knock code support for d800 to fix the issue(it happened to me so I should know)

If I do brick it would I still be able to enter download mode and reflash back to stock?
I was planning on flashing Cm11 to it anyway so knock code isn't that important to me, but I do remember being able to flash it then installing Cloudyd3 and knock code would work fine.

Autorec only has a chance of bricking when used for the wrong device, and because it flash a laf.img this means kfbyour device gets bricked by it you lose download mode and have to restore it using adb and fastboot commands
Cloudyg3 includes kernel modification for knock code for d80020u, while on 20k/c this was not an issue

Thanks, so I should go back to stock, reflash using lg flash tool then then reflash using the method above and then install AutoRec so I can use Twrp and install cm11.
I have a Bell G2 (D803) that has black lines on the screen. I have a TWRP backup of the stock ROM but I need a stock recovery in order to factory reset the phone to normal to send it for repairs. I've tried the kdz method but it doesn't ever work. Any ideas?

Have you tried the .tot method? Im pretty sure there is a .tot file floating around for your variant. And what do you mean the kdz method don't work? I had a few issue when I tried the kdz but got it all worked out, maybe I can help you.

D803 doesn't have a .tot method available. I managed to get a kdz to work but since Bell customer service are a bunch of ****tards, it was a waste of time.

If you want stay full stock you need to flash your original JB KDZ with Flasher Tool 2014. make a factory resert and update to KK by OTA.
If you want root, custom recovery don't need to flash nothing, just follow this threats.

Maybe go back to a stock ROM and start over? This thread may be helpful in getting back to stock: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
The thread helped me go from Cloudy 3.2 to stock MM on a d802.

Right so I'm facing two problems with going back to stock method:
1) as i said, the phone won't boot up on flashing ANY version of d802 firmware (I've observed that in lg flash tool, where you flash tot files, shows that the phone's model number is d802at. So I'll try flashing a d802at fw for the last time and see if it works)
2) i try to flash an ls980 fw, the flash tool gives a model number error. (If flashing d802at fw doesn't work, then i guess i have to modify the hex data in the ls980zve.tot file and force flash it on the phone)
I'll give you an update after something has happened.
@ audit13 it is work!!! Thanks for your help! And I have one last question, I still have root acces and TWRP installed?
Glad it worked
You should be back to stock recovery and no root.
