Can someone port wireless storage to Cloudypro II (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2680745)
Funny I just uploaded the APK here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2681527
See if it works.
It should be in /system/app
There might be some system UI tweaks to get it into the "Settings" app. Perhaps you can install it and create a custom homescreen shortcut to enable/disable?
Haha that's funny I just had finished doing this and then saw thread. I was running stock KitKat and bad backed up wireless storage with TiBu I restored it on cloudypro and used nova to create a shortcut/activity to it. Seems to be working fine
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
i dont know what i've done wrong. Shortcut in settings has appeared, like in stock , but it doesnt work. When i try to turn off wireless storage it automatically restarts, so i cant turn it off. And my pc cant go to \\192.168.0.73
I tried to use apk from OptimusRs Pro 2 Rom For LG G2 V3 , but i had the same result

Can you get more detailed, maybe upload your backup files. Is CloudyPro 4.4.2?

I'm actually back just on stock KitKat but all I did was restore the backup from titanium backup of wireless storage from stock KitKat ROM on cloudypro and using nova launcher created a shortcut to it. Enabled it navigated with PC to IP and worked. I can upload the apk if youd like but I imagine its the same as what is already here?

You can found in Play Store dude !
I haven't seen anything in the play store that was remotely close. Most apps use a webpage to act as a file explorer. Can't network share directly.

Holy crap, mate! That is amazing! Thank you so much!
I advise you to post this in the CloudyPro II thread, so that more people can see it. I'm sure that they'll love it.
Thank again!

unfortunately, it requires root (when wireless storage doesn't)

Hi all.
Ok, my tab (7510, wifi only, US) is rooted and working great.
There's a file that needs to be edited to enable the 5Ghz wifi band. I did that.
So, what are some recommended apps for a rooted tab that make this already terrific device even better?
I'm running stock ICS, with the Nova launcher. The tab runs like a rocket, and everything just works with no
problems. I'd prefer to stay with stock ICS for now rather than a custom ROM.
Thanks!

Yes, you helped. Thanks button clicked!
My favorite app for any rooted android device is LBE Privacy Guard. It's a "by app" firewall and permission manager.
You'll have to grab it from their website for the GT but is runs fine on it. For my RAZR I grabbed it from the market.
I also like OS Monitor and Titanium Backup.

Definitely TitaniumBackup. I know a lot loves the Root Explorer but ES File Manager is great too once you turn on the Root Explorer option. For me it's a lot friendlier.

I have ES File Explorer; it's what I used to edit the file for 5Ghz wifi. Agree, very user friendly.

If you start flashing a lot consider App2Zip as well. Backs up your apps and data to a recovery flashable ZIP file. Can be a bit faster than TB restore and is done pre-startup of the ROM. TB is still great to have though.
For recoveries I recommend TWRP. Touch interface, multi-zip flash in one install, file manager built in...

I'm getting this phone right when it comes out and gonna be using it unrooted for awhile. I'm fine with everything except my game data. Too lazy to start all over again so my question is if I can use adb method to backup games from my Galaxy Nexus to the new Nexus 4 when it comes out. Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can scavenge through the APK files and transfer the data from that app to your phone, but then again... you might need root access for that

OK, I think I have a solution here lol... Drag the entire app APK from your galaxy nexus and put it on a cloud service (dropbox, drive, etc). Then, go into that cloud service and install the app ( the APK file) and all your data should be transfered with that app.

Have you tried it? Because from what I know, there is another file that is stored with all the data and apk file for actual app itself. So by just taking the apk file out, you are basically doing nothing but just installing the apk. That's just what I know.

So I rooted my phone to get rid of crappy apps and wire after it was rooted I made a back up. While I was at it I installed cm11 to check it out. Didn't like it much so I rolled back to stock. But now my phone won't read my internal storage. It does but it doesn't.
For example, Asphalt 8 won't download because it can't connect to storage but other apps can. I can't save images from the internet but I can take pictures and view them. If I try to download a file it says no sd.
Phone is rooted with SU.

Did you manage to resolve this problem. I am having same issue with my Note 3. I rooted it, didn't like the custom ROMs and rolled back. Now I cannot save any file on the internal SD card - I can take pictures, notes or transfer files from PC but cannot save the email attachments, images or anything else on the SD card. Will appreciate if you can share how you fixed your issue. Thanks.

The solution is above dude. Use the terminal emulator, works for me.
I just updated to 4.4.2 (stock, deodex) and to my surprise I can't get into the sound fx settings. It crashes. Everything installed correctly from what I could tell. I saw in this forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/themes-apps/viper4android-soundfix-4-4-1-4-4-2-t2564725 there is a fix but it's a nexus 4 forum. Does anyone know if I can use this method for my note 3? I'm on the latest safestrap (3.72) and want to verify I won't brick my phone or if it's even possible to flash the zip file with safestrap. Thanks guys.

It worked for me by doing the following
Copy all to system, priv app, the changing permissions to rw-r-r, then rebooting immediately
Then as soon as it boots you will see the Android is updating the go to settings, the sound and select Viper and reboot again
Then go into your build prop and change the settings and save go into app and download drivers, then reboot
From there you should be working . Make sure not to change the email settings in music on Samsung music app If you are using that or any other player as that has given me issues I leave everything alone and it works for me when streaming via Bluetooth even with the stock music app I don't use world headphones so not sure if it works there but I've tested on:
Samsung stock music app
Mxplayer
Sirius xm
allshare cast
Good luck

Correct...you made sure busy box is installed and changed build prop ? I have had a similar issue trying to manually install apk . So I deleted it and just downloaded it from the play store and installed it that way.
P.S. also realize it doesn't work with the stock music player. Only 3rd party music players.

I installed the rooted NC2 Odex this week and Viper is working just fine with the Google Play Music app, just like it did with the MJE ROM.
I just updated to 4.4.2 [Note 3 n9005] UK firmware from SamMobile and rooted using CF-AutoRoot
Now, my problem is when ever i reboot my device it asks for Launcher.
I have also set TouchWiz Home as default Launcher in settings but.
Try using another launcher (set it as default) and freeze the default launcher with Titanium Backup and see if that problem exists. And another thing; When it asks you to select a default launcher, do you select always?

Do you use SD Card? If yes try formatting it after you copy all the files to your pc and slowly copy the files again to find a corrupted file/app. Maybe that file is the reason of this. If you cant find any corrupted files on your card try factory reset.

Still a new app you installed or a file can cause a problem. Also try freezing some apps(preferably recently installed ones) with Titanium Backup and check if issue still persists. If yes, i think best choice is factory reset.
