Hi,
I have a samsung galaxy note N7100 which is made in vietnam and has a chinese version of 4.1.2. I live in India and hence want to update it to Indian version of 4.3 jellybean.
I am not able to officially update it via samsung kies and hence tried doing it through odin. I have downloaded two different official versions of 4.3 android OS (Indian version) from two different websites samsung-upates.com and forum.xda-deelopers.com.
I ma using Odin 3.07 as per the instructions shown on internet but everytime i hit the start button in odin it shows FAIL in red highlighted box on top left side. I have tried two different OS versions of 4.3 as well as different versions of odin like 1.85, 3.06, 3.07, 4.43 etc but the outcome remains the same.
Kindly help me to get the solution for this nad update my N7100 to official Indian version of 4.3.

I have just bought a second hand Galaxy S and I'm trying to update it to the latest firmware as its still on Froyo.
Kies identifies the handset as an GT-I9003 with firmware KB4. The CSC appears to be XEU which looks right as the phone is a UK unlocked model. Unfortunately, Kies also claims that this is the latest firmware, which surely can't be right - I have a lowly Galaxy Ace as well and it has been on Gingerbread for months now.
I've been all over samfirmware.com and none of the listed firmwares on the site have CSC codes. With my Ace I was always super-careful to stick with the correct CSC, so I'm a bit stuck.
Does anyone have a link for the latest stock gingerbread firmware CSC=XEU for the I9003?
Kind regards
Dave
Hi,
I installed the leaked 4.4.2 Polish version of KK and do not want to upgrade to the version of the next day which is Kies official.
(I had to because I had the Hong Kong version of the Note 3 Snapdragon, and the leaked version had the 4 files + using the PIT file worked)
a)Are there any differences and/or will it prevent me from updating OTA when future updates come up?
b)Now that I succesfully upgraded to a European version, do I still need to do in the future the 4 files flash on ODIN when new versions come up?
(some people reported phone stuck on Samsung logo when upgrading to 4.4.2 with only 1 file and could not flash anything else afterwards.
Dear Team,
My friends samsung s4 i9505 has stuck on samsung logo.
How can I install stock firmware through odin ?
I dont know the exact country of this phone, so how do i download exact firmware version for my phone.
I downloaded a version from sammobile.com and tried to flash from odin but it is unsuccessful.
Look if you want help you need to give details.
What version did you try to flash? What was the Odin error.
If he has a newer version already (4.3 or higher) you cannot downgrade to a earlier version, so try the latest version for S4, for the country he bought it in.
Got my phone (Galaxy S5 G900F) today in the mail but it won't update to latest version.
It's now on version 4.4.2 and just says that latest updates are already installed when trying to update.
Doesn't work to update with smart switch either.
What to do?
Check for the latest updates for your region/carrier on sammobile dot com Or Samsung-updates dot com, if it's different/newer to what is on your device at the moment, download it and flash it with Odin....instructions for Odin flashing are readily/easily locatable if you're not sure how.......
Good luck.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 unlocked AT&T. Provider is Straighttalk. Owned this phone for years. The Android system has not updated beyond ver. 5.0 (not even 5.0.1). Here are numbers that may help provide a solution.
Ver. 5.0
Baseband ver. G900AUCU4BOF2
Kernel ver. 3.4.0-4432708
Please tell me how to get the phone to update to the most recent version.

All Samsung phones get major os updates for about 2 year's so the S 5 ,depending on carrier, country and if it's European, Asian, African or American, can be stuck from android 5 to 6.
See sammobile and search for your model and carrier (if not unlocked) what's the lastest firmware available.
If there's a more recent firmware available and you don't have OTA notifications or OTA dosen't give you it after tying a manual update, try to update with samsung kies installed on a pc.
If even this dosen't work, download ,from sammobile, the lastest odin (it's under your firmware) and install it on your pc. Then download the last firmware for your model (always from sammibile) and install it with Odin. On sammobile, under your firmware, there's the explanations for how to do it.
