First of all you have to download the samsung USB drivers from http://developer.samsung.com/android/tools-sdks/Samsung-Andorid-USB-Driver-for-Windows
Download ODIN (a program which allows you to install firmwares on your phone) from http://odindownload.com/
Download the latest firmware from http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9500&details=Galaxy_S_4_Exynos_Octa , you'll know the latest by the higher number in the changelist column (I recommend firmwares from India)
After you download the firmware, switch your phone off then press volume down+Home button+power button all at the same time till it starts a screen asking you to press up to enter download mode then connect the phone to the PC and open Odin, it should show a com port with a number and coloured space (in Odin) then choose pda which will open a window to allow you to choose the firmware, before you start MAKE SURE that re-partition is not marked or your phone will be bricked (useless), then press start. It will start installing the firmware.....Enjoy
As for the battery life and performance are better with Kitkat and camera opens faster now. You can root the firmware later on and add whatever you want and delete all the bloatware that comes with the stock rom.

what?
baseband has nothing to do with the rom you want to flash
As you clearly dont understand what you need to do, i would suggest either doing a lot of reading or dont bother flashing ahything until you get the kies update
Check for ota update directly from your phone cause only bhtelecom still didnt get 4.4.2 ...eronet and unbranded bosnia are already on 4.4.2 ..
Here is the website for the I9505

Greetings,
My phone was working fine until a few days ago, when suddenly it starts to show the icon for no service.
I've already tried to reset to factory defaults, and also reflashed the stock rom, after this I found out that my baseband and imei where null (not sure if this was the main reason for not having service, but at least looks like)
What is the correct way of fixing unknown baseband/imei? reflashing the modem?
My phone was bought in south africa last year, and now I'm living in brazil.
Model: (Note3) SM-N900
South Africa - XFE
PDA: N900XXUDND1
CSC: N900OJVDND1
MODEM: N900XXUDND1
Where to download the correct modem firmware? any other ideas/suggestions that I should try?
Thanks
Same problem
bro i hav a note three from Roman because i check the phone sticker behind the battery the imei and serial says its (ROM) {Romania} and its on kitkat i can run sim but i cant use 3g or 4g on the phone its always on E not switching i tried my sim on other phone 3g works but not on my Note3 so i m searching for the phone imei repair everyone is sayin EFS and i down want a complicated method i want easy and clean way there is a wbsite for the imei checker(http://sndeep.info/en) check ur phone imei the one on the back wht dose it say and also the serial it will tell u where use unit belongs to if sim not running then i suggest to consult with the android experts local shops here u wont get answers..... and they wont help out....
As far as I know, my rom should be: South Africa - XFE
When I checked my serial on the website that you linked, I could see Vietnam.
I'm in the very south of brazil, not many android experts around here

- Install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser'.
- Select firmware for your device/CSC to download. You can flash full firmware via Odin, or extract and get 2 files: modem.bin + NON-HLOS.bin.
- To flash the modem, make sure to enter download mode by completely switch off the phone, and boot to download mode by hardware key combination. Flash modem.bin first, reboot, then flash NON-HLOS.bin.
Hello vndnguyen,
I've checked my phone info/firmware with Phone Info Samsung app, and it also pointed to the South Africa, XFE rom.
I did uncompressed the tar.md5 file but did not found the file NON-HLOS.bin. I've just found modem.bin file.
Should I proceed flashing just modem.bin with odin? Flashing only modem.bin would give me a chance to restore baseband version information and imei?
In the past days, I've flashed this rom (the complete md5 rom file), would also the modem .bin be applied while stock rom flashing?
Thank you
Today I called Samsung customer service asking for support, I know that since I bought my phone on another country, they would not give warranty, so I was ready to pay for support and have my phone fixed.
Samsung denied any kind of service on my phone, saying that they only support phones bought in brazil.
They also told me that I should look for any other 3rd party support.
I started a complain at 'reclameaqui', but anyway, I'm quite sure that this is going nowhere.
http://www.reclameaqui.com.br/10344...cs/galaxy-note-3-suporte-negado-pela-samsung/
Please let me know if you have any suggestions or things that I should try.
Thank you
Rom 442 pologne... boot download mod CP GNG1 in ap case odin and reboot recovery reset all data. Good luck
Thanks for the advice, but looks that I got lucky....
After registering my complain at "reclameaqui", Samsung changed their position and called me offering an option for repairing my phone.
Tomorrow I will be shipping my phone to their support center.
I will come for an update when the phone comes back.
Thank you
Today I received my phone from Samsung.
They didn't fixed the phone and they also informed me that they where unable to fix it since the required parts for fixing aren't available in Brazil.
So I guess that now I have a big useless phone that can be used only to hold some papers in place.
Any ideas or suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Try and download the XXUBMI2 modem and flash it through Odin. Make sure you have auto restart off and when it's flashed, pull the battery from your phone and reboot back into download mode. Then flash the modem again, this time with auto reboot on. That should make sure it's flashed. Restart your phone and then see if all is working. I've had issues like this before, and it turned out to be modem related, but my phone is the N9005. It's worth a try though

Hello Brownie2k,
I've followed your advice and flashed the modem using Odin (first time removing the battery, and second time with auto reboot), still with imei/baseband unknown .
Also tried to flash the stock rom again (XFE), and repeated the modem flash... same issue
Is XXUBMI2 the correct modem file for my phone? Should I also try the other modems? I've tried to follow the link to samsung firmware checker but the page seens to be broken
Thank you!!

Your imei and baseband is there but doesnt recognize by your rom. Pls download firmware has baseband in it like *****NG1 and flash though ODIN. Your imei and baseband will be back. You can download firmware here
For 9005
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-N9005
And 900
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-N900
i had same issue and flashed different modems and one worked.
for me nothing was working correctly untill i unticked F.reset time and Auto reboot,
i just manually rebooted my phone when odin job was finished.
Hi, I have SM-910H with ACR CSC. I have tried flashing multiple Stock Roms but CSC does not changes. I have factory reset multiple times. Also I have tried below mentioned method multiple times but no avail. If anyone has been successfully change CSC on 910H without root, kindly help me out.
1. Run and configure Odin. Do NOT check “Re-Partition” and “Auto Reboot” check boxes.
2. Load the stock firmware in the PDA button.
3. Set the phone in download mode (Volume Down+Home+Power button). Then connect the phone in your computer.
4. Hit the “Start” button and then wait.
5. Once the flashing successfully completed. Do NOT let it reboot into the normal mode.
6. Reboot into recovery mode (Volume Up+Home+Power button).
7. See if it’s applying the CSC file then wait until it finishes and reboot.
8. If you do not see the CSC installation, instead choose the “Wipe data/Factory reset”. Then repeat flashing the stock firmware. You may then achieved the CSC code flashing the stock firmware on the second attempt.
10. Confirm the CSC code by using Kies 3 or by downloading Phone INFO ★Samsung★ and see if the CSC code has changed.

Find & flash single country csc instead of multi csc, once it's changed to single country csc, flash again as per your requirements.

Thanks for the advice. I can try that. Can you point out any 910H firmware that is single CSC. Also can you tell how to check from downloaded firmware that it is whether single CSC or multi CSC.
I used to flash Singapore rom when I was facing problem like u r facing but i don't know about your model, there was a thread in note 3 forum mentioning this.
Note 3 thread for csc
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2666907
i don't mean to hijack the thread but i am on the same boat with n910f (not rooted).
I have a warranty appointment (battery drain) and wish to flash back to stock. I purchased my phone sim free from Switzerland and i am in the UK. however i tried lollipop German rom (and sadly did not record my csc, i am a noob) and have now downgraded to UK rom to test battery drain issue for a day or two. I now wish to revert back to stock. my phone id csc related fields are as below.
original csc code: BTU
firmware csc: AUT
active csc code: BTU / AUT
csc country iso: CH
which rom should i flash to and back. Also considering the german lollipop rom data has completely gone from the csc which i flashed to the UK rom afterwards will it be safe to flash to it without auto reboot and then flash back to AUT swiss rom. i'd rather not have to set up my device again . and any comments on Warranty things / recommendations i need to take care of before my appointment
thnx
*********my solution ---------
I reset to factory default , installed lollipop rom, reset to factory default, booted lollipop, reset to factory default again, flashed swiss image , reset to factory default and everything was back to stock
First of all please forgive me for opening yet another S4 wifi problem after kitkat upgrade, but I have tried everything I could possibly find here, on youtube and other forums. The only thing left to try is flash the modem but I'd rather ask before I brick my phone
I'm not quite sure if this is the same issue every single time or if in my case it is due to my ignorance and errors. I was an iphone/unlock/jailbreak user until last year so please bear with me. Android is new and fun (but scary) territory to me.
Situation, what I did and possible mistakes on my side:
-I'm in Spain but I bought my factory unlocked phone on amazon and it was for the Polish market (GT-I9505 Black, 16 Gb)
-My device was rooted don't even remember how I did it last year so no useful info on that side a part of using odin for windows.
- Until yesterday I was on jellybean, not quite sure if 4.2.2 or 4.3
- Yesterday I upgraded to 4.4.2 via mobile odin and yes I checked the boxes about clearing/deleting cache or whatever it's called.
- Used a stock firmware downloaded from other site (that one starting with "S" and with a great amount of firmwares for samsung devices of several countries)
- I chose a firmware randomly (maybe this was my mistake) because I hade read that the firmware was not that important and people where usimg leaked german firmwares on on phones from elsewhere. But I did choose one that matched the country of my phone (XEO/XX Poland)
- Everything is working fine but without wifi I'm buying new Mb bundles almost every 2 hours and I'll be broke very soon
If you guys think the solution is flashing the modem which file should I use? I see lots of them with different models/codes and I'm completely lost and have read a lot about messing with bootloaders/modems etc bricking devices so I'm freaking scared and ask for your charitative help!
All the info I could gather about my device right now (now I know I should have gathered this info also before attempting to upgrade but it's too late now!

Relax it has solution . The problem becomes coz the baseband and the bootloader are olds (android 4.3).

BASEBAND Version: I9505XXUEMK8
BOOTLOADER Version:I9505XXUEMK8
PDA Version: I9505XXUGNG8
CSC Version: I9505YXZGNH2

1. Reflash the STOCK I9505XXUGNG8 (XEO) firmware via ODIN.
2. Let the process finish and reboot normally.
3. Dial *#1234# and have to appear this:
AP: I9505XXUGNG8
CP: I9505XXUGNG8
CSC: I9505YXZGNH2
4. Reflash again if not. Good luck
Thank you so much for your helpful reply Joku1981 !!!!! You made my day!!!
Can I do that with Mobile Odin??? My PC broke (Graphics card burnt) and until a couple of months won't be able to buy a new one.
To make sure I understand you: You mean Flash again the same firmware I used to upgrade to 4.4.2 in the first place?
I used this Firmware: I9505XXUGNG8_I9505YXZGNH2_XEO
should I try Flashing that same Stock Firmware again? and if does not work keep reflashing until the baseband and the bootloader get updated?
Why did they not update ? is this common or an error on my side???
I hope it can be done with mobile Odin since I can keep my root status, If I have to do it in Desktop Odin do I have to Re-Root after flashing???
Thank you so much for you kind help!!!!!!

SOLVED!!!!!
After nobody answered if I could use again "mobile Odin" to flash once more and try to fix my wifi not working I opened mobile odin and it gave me a warning about my version and having a wrong bootloader as a possibility of soft bricking my phone so I decided to stay away of mobile Odin this time.
I used desktop Odin (at work since my pc broke) and exactly the same firmware file downloaded from sammobile (but re-downloaded it just in case) and had to flash twice, the first time it went through the whole process ok right until the end where it showed the FAIL message.
I didn't know if I should turn off the phone stuck in download mode and with the process bar at 100 % or retry flashing without turning it off. So I decided not to turn it off (afraid it would get soft bricked or something). I closed mobile Odin but left phone On with download mode screen active and opened mobile Odin again got the "added"message and the blue color showing it was properly connected to the phone and started flashing process again....
I started getting red error messages saying the progress bar display was wrong (and it wasn't updating/kept stuck in the previous 100%) but after it finished it was flashed and everything was ok. WIFI WORKED!!!!!!
Now the weird part.....in case this happens /helps someone else:
- My phone DID NOT get wiped. My launcher and my apps stayed intact (I thought flashing even the same firmware always wiped data, I'm I wrong???)
- All my root apps (root explorer, titanium backup, so on and so forth) where there and working fine. One root checker stated I was rooted and another one stated I wasn't but even my launcher (nova) was working just as if I never flashed the phone.
- Since I was unsure of my "root" state and I did not have "supersu" app in my apps drawer I tried installing it via playstore but It always gave an error message (the application could not be installed in the default location)
- I rooted again just in case and the root process finished without errors but still I had no "supersu" app and one root checker said I was rooted and the other I wasn't. Tried installing "supersu" from the playstore but same error and could not get installed.
- I searched here and in other forums for similar problems/solutions but nothing worked until I tried several things that fixed the problem. Not really sure which fixed it so I will write them down in the order I did them:
1. Opened folder mount which I already had installed and it gave me an error and asked me to try the fix which I did.
2. Opened linked2sd which I already had installed also previous to the firmware flash. It gave me an error and asked me which was the partition to use (as when I first installed it) in my case it was ext4. And it seemed to start working as it normally does. No further error when reopening it.
3. Rebooted the phone and tried entering recovery mode to wipe cache etc but It never entered recovery mode. I get the message about going into recovery mode (top left corner small red letters) But right after that it reboots and I get the samsung logo and my home screen.
4. Tried reinstalling supersu again and no success. (By the way before I did all this steps I tried rooting again but got to the same point. No supersu on my apps drawer)
5. Downloaded BusyBox install (opened it but did not use it in any way, maybe something in the installation fixed my problem)
6. Opened mobile Odin just for curiosity sake and it opened fine and asked for downloading of the extra stuff as when I installed it the first time. After that I closed it
7. Rebooted normally (no recovery mode since I'm stuck without it)
8. Tried installing "supersu" and NOW it worked!!!
9. Checked in both root checker apps and both confirm I'm rooted and supersu started asking for granting permissions to apps again as it normally does!
10. Everytime I attempted flash, root, and even after some reboots I took the battery off (since I read in several threads it helped/was mandatory)
Conclusion now my WIFI problem is fixed, my root problem (that appeared doing the reflash for fixing my wifi problem) is also fixed. The only thing I could not fix is not being able to get into recovery mode.
Does anyone know a solution for recovering the ability to get into recovery mode????
Thanks to Joku for lighting me into re flashing once and again until my wifi was fixed!
Hi all,
i have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 (2020) SM-T505 (LTE) 32GB. It was updated 20.03.2022 with official latest security update via wifi (normal usual way) (i think Feb or March 2022) but after that i can not turn my tablet any more. I have all data phone numbers picture on my tablet so i need to backup and return data !
Problem with :Version Android 11
Security Patch Level 2022-03-01
PDA T505XXU3BVB2
CSC T505OXM3BVB2
Please check also attached picture ... i can login to this selected mode .... is it possible to restore to previous version (before update) and keep all data or update somehow with cable (alternative program) ..!!!! I need this data urgently ! I can not contact with Smart Switch (data backup)
i can see topic is here open https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/tablets/tab-a7-update/m-p/5030111/thread-id/12475 but there is no solution to keep data ! (only menu where you can hard restore everything when you delate everything)
Thank you for your urgent help.
Boot into download mode and flash the same stock rom version you were previously on onto your tablet, just dont flash userdata. This will reflash android. Apps and settings may be cleared, but internal storage (photos, videos etc) will remain intact. Look for a guide on how to do this.
@PhotonIce can you give more infos please
when i enter power + volume up i go to this menu
what next .... how to i apply update from ADB or even how do i apply uppdate from SD card
a lot of people are waiting for step by step process to save the data
inside .. fyi
is it possible to update only android side via ODIN.... how can i do that ? Please need help
Ok, lets get into this.
First, we need to find the signed firmware files for your specific tablet. Sammobile is a well-known source for samsung stock roms. Now we need to find the model number, which is t505. Next, we need to match the PDA and android versions, which you've mentioned above. Now, the slightly hard part. We need to get the rom for the right country (csc). Your csc ins mentioned above. Notice the OXM after T505. That is the country code. You can match this up on any samsung csc key to find the country.. Now, OXM is a universal CSC code, which doesn't really help with the download. We need more information, you can usually check your csc from the about phone menu in android, but you cant really do that. So our other option is for you to send a picture of the details from download mode, the csc will be mentioned there. To enter download mode, follow this tutorial for your device:
Upon entering download mode (after pressing volume up), look for the csc and send it here. If you cannot find the CSC, just send a picture of the entire screen. Also please mention which country you got this tablet from, and which country you are in, also mention if it is on any carrier etc.
Once you provide this information, we will be able to pick the most suitable csc for your stock rom, then I will provide further instructions on how to flash the software without losing your data. Note that you may lose your apps, but you will definitely not lose your photos, videos, files etc.
Bought in Slovenia, wifi + mobile used in Austria.
@PhotonIce CSC is what .... my whole code is (i think this is PDA) T505XXU3BVB2 ... so csc is XXU?
i have android 11
..what next
and thank you in advance for help
if i lose apps is ok ... for me it is important to keep photos videos files etc

Ok, so we'll be using the slovenia csc. Upon confirming the details on the sammobile download page, the pda and csc match, so we should be good to go. One thing I did notice is that in your first post you said the PDA was "T505XXU3BVB8", but in the picture of your recovery, it shows "T505XXU3BVB2". Can you confirm anything about this?
@PhotonIce it is T505XXU3BVB2
Well now we know which firmware we need to download, here's the link, you'll need to register on sammobile to download:
Download Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 LTE SM-T505 SIO Slovenia T505XXU3BVB2 firmware
Fast download latest Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 LTE firmware SM-T505 from Slovenia with T505XXU3BVB2 and Android version 11
www.sammobile.com
@PhotonIce done ... next (i have ftth at home so that why is so fast)
Alright, now we'll need to install The Samsung USB Drivers, and download Odin. Here are the links:
Drivers
Odin
done
Extract the drivers zip and run the installer.
Once it's done, extract the firmware zip and post an image of the files inside the extracted folder
@PhotonIce
Ok, open odin, then connect your tablet to your pc in download mode. You should see an empty box under the word ID:COM turn blue with a COM- number.
Next, click on BL in odin, and select the file starting with BL_ from the extracted folder.
Click on CSC in odin, and select the file starting with HOME_CSC_OMC_ from the extracted folder.
Click on CP in odin, and select the file starting with CP_ from the extracted folder.
Click on AP in odin, and select the file starting with AP_ from the extracted folder
Leave userdata empty, and make sure not to use the file starting with CSC_OMC_.
Once you have done this, click on the options tab on the left of odin, then send a screenshot of the entire odin window so that I can confirm that all is good.

Alright, everything seems good. As long as you selected HOME_CSC and NOT CSC_, then you should be good. Just press the start button to begin flashing, it will take a couple of minutes. Do not power off or unplug your device during this process. Once it is done, you device will automatically reboot, so do not try to manually reboot.
Good Luck! If it worked out then post here.
ok lets try . Yes i have selected HOME_CSC !!!!!!!!
