SamMobile.com has trustworthy .tar files. That is the only place I would get it from.

Did it work
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 4
Thanks
Thank you. For some odd reason it did not work the first time.
OOPS.
I flash an international ROM before realizing what I did!
The ROM was EchoeROM, 4.4. Custom recovery is TWRP.
In it's current state, I cannot boot to recovery. I CAN boot to download mode but Odin fails repeatedly.
I attempted the firmware recovery via Kies, but (as we know) it's ****. Kies asks for a S/N and no matter how correct it is (lol) it's not valid to Kies.
With ODIN I've tried 2 different kinds of 1-click flashes, one is stock w/ root, the other without root. And also the traditional ODIN3v1.85 with L720VPUAMDC_L720SPTAMDC_L720VPUAMDC_HOME that I got from stockroms.
so, help? anyone? :crying:
Had you taken the 4.3 OTA? If so, you will have to Odin the MK2 of MJA tar to get back to stock.

+1 That's what I was thinking too. I'm pretty sure on the E4GT if someone flashed the International version they needed to use a JTAG service to fix it. This is the first time I have read about this problem on this phone though so maybe not as bad???
As long as download mode boots, it's fixable.

Yes, I did have 4.3 before flashing. What is "MK2 of MJA"?

Here's a link for MJA tar if you need it. Comes in zip file so extract after downloading. http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.p...axy S4 (SPH-L720)/Stock ROMs/MJA/Original TAR

I'll try flashing anything I can get that works lol Part of the problem is all the different things I've attempted to flash via Odin have all failed. I'll try this and report.
EDIT: Is this the best mirror for this? It's terrrrribly slow.
I was running MJA/CM10.2 but needed to update my PRL.
In the process, I decided to update to MK2/CM11.
I started by flashing Stock MK2 w/Root ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586586) then ODINd the MK2 Firmware (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42954149) to get Sense.
PRL and Profile updates, noticed that my Wifi wasn't connecting at that point.
Flashed CM11's Snapshot (http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=jfltespr&type=snapshot), flashed Wifi Fix, and my wifi is stuck on "Turning on wifi" and won't get past that point.
Anyone know what I need to do to get wifi restored? I've been searching for solutions for about an hour and can't really find one.
You have to wipe your phone to get it to work. And possible Odin a tar. Those have been the ooy two ways i have been able to solve it.

I've tried multiple Factory Wipes to fix it, to no avail.
I flashed the stock rom and MK2 firmware to get a Sense rom so I could update PRL and Profile.

If you're on MF9 boot loader then Odin that since by you asking that question it seems you don't have Knox at all.

Thanks! lol i know, thats my fault
New update this morning and of course it won't install with TWRP recovery onboard.
For the life of me I can't find a method that actually gets me stock tar files to unroot and return to custom recovery.
Have all the links turned to nothing but advertising?
Hey before you install a custom recovery can you do the community a favor and pull the update zip from your phone? Then upload it to some hosting site that way others like myself can update manually.

And the tar MK2 file in dev section works fine. I just unroofed yesterday to get ready for the new update.

Um yea, that's great. And it's possible.
HOWEVER as @daniel4653 mentioned " would you do the community a favor and pull the update zip from your phone?".
If you install before doing that you'll lose that ability.
But of course if you just want help but don't want to contribute, well I guess that's okay. Just remember XDA is all about community.
Can you please post the file name of the update OTA file.
I didn't find it in the threads but ........... did someone pull the OTA "update.zip" from the phone? I would love to do this manually to the wife's S4 .......
