How can I play a wav file from the speaker that is used during a call?
Seen that this is possible through the built-in functions for VoIP, but did not understand how to implement this.
Thanks in advance!
... that's the headset speaker, not the microphone. Microphones are audio *input* devices. OK, now that we're clear on that...
Please remember to search before posting. Also remember to post in the correct section. This is a question; it belongs in Q&A. If you were offering an app or library or hack of some kind, you would post it here.
To attempt to answer the question... looks like you either need to use
Code:
Windows.Phone.Media.Devices.AudioRoutingManager.GetDefault().SetAudioEndpoint(Windows.Phone.Media.Devices.AudioRoutingEndpoint.Earpiece)
if you're working in managed code, or use GetDefaultAudioRenderId and specify the value Communications from the AudioDeviceRole enum. Note that doing this may require that your app declare the ID_CAP_VOIP capability.
Thank you! Thank you so much! I've been looking for an answer to this question! Once again, thank you!
This code throws an exception 'E_ACCESDENIED'. As I understand it can be used only during a VoIP call. Whether it can be realized without the active VoIP call?

Dear All,
This is my first post at the forum. All my other questions have been answered via the search function, so I'm very gladfull that all of you know this awsome machine so well.
Actually I do have a rather challenging question you everyone who is reading this forum.
When I'm talking to somebody on the telephone, normally keeping it to my ear. Now I would like to open my agenda en start writing in it to schedule an appointment. I would the system to switch to handsfree mode as soon as I slide open my keyboard? Is there a way to do this?
Did somebody maybe found an upgrade for this?
For instance, I know that when you open the Nokia 9300 while calling it will transfer to the speaker function?
Well, maybe someone can help me solve my little issue.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Jort.
Thats a very good question. I had never thought of that, but it would be nice, although not essential as switching to speaker is fairly quick and easy to do. If there was a reg hack or util to do it, it would use it for sure.
I know what you mean, i use it most of the theme this way. i bod a Bluetooth headset for this problem. but if there is a way. It wil make me happy
Have not seen a hack for this - just hold down the call button as you slide the keyboard open - that will do it
thats just like the lg V on verizon
good question !!
if we can find this will be a good hack to add to your device.
Hello everyone,
I am looking for a program that will let me click a button and record my phone coversation with someone on the cell phone. I do not know if that is even possible but I would like to be able to record important phone calls to my SD card.
Please let me know if you know of any software or way of doing this.
Thanks,

yes ... yes there is an app available regardless of the countless threads describing why there cannot be one (cred to Menneisyys who worked on that for ages)
how the app works is you pay someone to follow you around ( a stalker is good for this purpose and costs less) then when your phone rings you simply
-Hand it to them to answer
-Give a brief detailed message to the person on the phone(get someone with a good memory, it costs more but it is worth it)
-They write down a message.
-They hand back the phone (providing you pay them enough) then hand you the message.
its as easy as that!
(you could also just search to find the answer!)
Thank you for a very usless answer. I hope you didnt hurt yourself typing it.
Also searching it dont help because smart people like you post crap without knowing the answers so if you search there are 10 people saying that it works with resco or pm tools or vito recoder and others and the other half says it wont work with smart phones.
So who is right?

Old postI gave up on but i have not been here for a while and just have to say it.
Ok so the links he gave me take me to crap about answering machines which i was not looking for. I need to record phone calls not an answering machine. Also even if i was looking for an answering machine those posts still do not answer any questions just couple of people one saying well its hardware another no its software another we can break it another no we cant .....
The hardware limitation in the Hermes, and most other WM PPC phones for that matter, applies equally to answering machine as well as call recording software.
Buy a Gigabyte WM phone if this functionality is important to you. Or better, any Nokia Symbian S60.
Actually it DO appears to work...
I haven't done too much experiments yet but answering machine on my Hermes seems working fine.

Interesting... and the quality of the recorded audio is good? You don't need to keep the phone in speakerphone mode to record the audio, i.e. the phone will be quiet while recording the audio?
Does not work on hermes.
Yep... I'm having troubles too.
It seems I have spoken too fast.....
BUT they have released 3 major updates in the last few days.
New version is iSecretary 3.0.
Going to test it.
*EDIT*
In the first post they are looking for Call Recording software.
Answering machine is quite OT, so I posted my first impresions in the correct thread.

This is a bulletin board, not a chat-room. Sometimes, it takes hours before someone reads your post, and even then, they may either not have an answer for you, or they might not care.
I, for example, do not have an answer for you. I do care, if that provides you with any comfort. Frankly, I think this would be a nice feature...I suspect its legality, however, may be in question.
this might work
who cares about the word legal and its other forms. I use my note recorder to record conversations and to record songs and videos to make my ringtones. speakin of which, anyone knows how to use my own tone foe new msg

Recording incoming audio from a phone connection is unfortunately something the Wizard cannot do. It's a hardware limitation, so there's sadly no solution.
ive recorded conversations with the note recorder app. and that app game with the phone. ive done...it works.
try vito audio notes. I have used it with descent results
sorry for replying late.i had not been keeping well so could not reply soon.
thank you all for replying to my query.
well i did try vito and also note recorder but am not at all happy with the result.people who have used it might agree with me that the voice from the other end is not recorded properly.
sam said its hardware limitation.i am not sure if thats true.i have also tried pm recorder which have me better results than the other two mentioned .but the problem was still the same i.e the sound from the other end was not recorded clearly.
please help me to find a correct software to do so..
Hi,
I can't find anser for this on forum. Maybe i'm not good in searching
How to lock/unlock keys/screen programically i Visual C#? I have SDK 6.
How to capture that call is comming? (to unlock device).
I plan to write app which autolock device.
I have HTC Touch Pro.
Thank you for help!
There is no "method" built in to do this. You have to work out a method yourself. What I did a few years back to accomplish this was to trap the hardware keys and input switches on your target device (this becomes hard on multiple devices) and write the app to keep itself on top always. It's crude, but worked well for me. Then just use the standard telephony api for your incoming call monitoring.
Maybe use the program
CSDEVCTRL
from the forums here ?

Has anyone found a way to do 2 way call recording (2wcr), otherwise known as in-call recording, on the SnapDragon variant of the S4 that works for mic/speaker, speakerphone, and bluetooth?
I have rooted my AT&T S4 and tried the various options in skvalex's call recorder with no luck.
Thx.

Thanks so much for the help!
