Hi everybody. I have a Note 3 full stock. When I try to screen mirroring woth my samsung tv, it says that I have a hardware problem. Before, I was able to do it with my s4. So whats the problem

Hi everyone,
I was going to ask the same question as well here,been home quite alot at the momment because of an illness.When everyone gets out of the house and I´m alone,I watch either a film or some episodes from any series using my Note 3.Been doing this the past few months without any problems what so ever until 2 days ago.At long last I got my KK update BUT since this update my Screen Mirroring DOES NOT WORK.My Note 3 finds the Samsung Cast Dongle but it just won´t make any Connection.Tried all sorts of things but without any success,has anyone else here problems since the KK update and Screen Mirroring using Samsungs Cast Dongle??

After looking around in the WWW I founded a patch that is availble in Google Play.Downloaded installed and made a new connection with my Cast Dongle and what happened.....IT WORKS.Maybe it will help others...and me.....time to watch a film

Same here I downloaded the patch and it said in "state" not needed and still no mirroring .... [email protected]$ you Samsung and your "who cares if one out of 1000 useless gimmick features does not work. They still have 999 left" attitude

Same Massage here, but anyhow.... after the patch and reboot screen mirroring works again.

Just wanted to let anyone know, who was looking at getting Max Payne, that it runs flawlessly on the Tab2 7". No issues what so ever even on the highest settings. Great game as well!

Same thing happened to me but with my Galaxy Nexus. Seems this game has a lot of issues with phones, but no issues what so ever with tablets.
Interestingly enough, I can't even install it on my tablet. It says incompatible with my device. I can install it on my Nexus though.
Works fine on the galaxy tab 2 10.1 p-5110!

It didn't work when I was on a custom ROM, so I just copied the APK over from my phone (Yes I payed for it).
Either go back to a stock ROM or get the APK from another device you own.
Check my model. I'm on stock. I'll just send the apk from my nexus.

Well it seems as though you cannot screen mirror with a rooted device. What I am looking to do is have movies play from my phone on my Samsung smart TV. I'd rather not get the cable if possible. Can anyone help me out?

This is kind of a workaround but it should work. If you have a computer next to the TV or a laptop hook up a HDMI cable from the CPU to the TV. Use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.awindinc.sphone2tv

I'm running rooted stock MF9 and have no problems showing stuff off my phone to my Smart TV via Samsung Link.

Wow really? I wonder what allows you and I cant get it to work. I am running sacs rom. Never tried to do it on stock.

What does it do when you try? Is the option even available? Might be some framework changes preventing it.

Have you tried triangle away and check the option to freeze super user at start up to get status official?

I open the samsung link app and the TV sees my S4 and trys to connect, it says it is connected and then suddenly drops the connection a few seconds later.

Hi, i've got my hands on a Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 running 4.2.2 MH6. Im updating it at the moment. but it reboots atleast 2 to 3 times a day. for no reason? it's not modded but AVG is installed. could that be the problem?
Can you make screenshots about your app launcher and sys info? Looks like some strange apps led to that. Or you can try to flash a Perseus kernel(or Adam,up to u).

Updated it to 4.3 but the problems are still there, it's under warranty. i noticed now that there was another problem. Network signal goes off then after some seconds it reboots as well. Should i turn it in again? it was just in for screen replacement! problems started after the screen was replaced! no problems before! it's a freind of mine that has this phone! and no he isn't going to mod his phone.

As already mentioned in other threads it's most likely that's the battery that needs to be changed due to a series of bad batteries that was shipped with the galaxy S4.
try it out with another battery and your problem will be solved

Whenever I say OK Google it doesn't work even though the hotword detection is ticked on. I know its common and i've read other sites that theirs dont work as well on their galaxy s4 no matter the unit. I compared to my friends GT-I9300 and his works fine.
Im just wondering if anyone has an idea when they will fix this?

Same here. After a reboot it's working like a charm but few hours later is not so constant anymore. I use default remote software and smart remote, with both have the same problem.

Note 3 remote is working fine, maybe it's bug in Note 4 that will be solved soon.

After working properly that I made reset and- suddenly doesn't accept the country selection
Having the same issue here, never had an issue with my S4 but with this one is just a pain to be aiming the TV for a while to make it work.

Same problem here, anyone found a fix. Running 4.4.4
Not sure how this will work for others, but I've been using TouchSquid app from the Play Store now for a few months and it always works. You have to select 'Alternate IR Driver' in the settings. It's not the prettiest interface, but it works for me , I can control two TVs, my Squeezebox, Hi-Fi, DVD Recorder and even an IR light switch. I tried several other apps but couldn't get them to work consistently. Maybe I just got lucky :/
