A few questions to ROM updates

I currently have 4.2.1 rooted with TWRP. I use franco's kernel and now wondered if I can simply update via OTA? From what I read it is possible with TWRP ?
If that is not possible, should I just download the 4.2.2 update from google and flash it with TWRP ? What is the deodoxed 4.2.2 download?
Thanks
Read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2145848 you can find there all answers
So as I have:
root
franco's kernel
TWRP/CWM
Unlocked bootloader
the only way for me to get 4.2.2 is by flashing it via TWRP/CWM ? Will this just update my system or install a new 4.2.2 meaning all my homescreens/Settings/.. are gone ?

first of all you must flash system.img and boot.img to have stock system, after that you can flash update via TWRP/CWM and reroot. That not wipe your data
and where do I get the the boot.img system.img ?
and i push that to my phone via adb/fastboot ?

Stock Kernel

Someone has the flashable (through CWM) stock kernel for the Nexus 7?
Edit: For 4.2.2 Stock
Download 4.2.2 factory image HERE extract boot.img from it and flash it using fastboot.

[Q] Default stock recovery

I want to install my stock recovery to be able to download OTA updates using my stock themed firmware but I can't figure out how to install the recovery.img that i got from my official firmware. I already tried to flash it using odin & through twrp recovery but the file is not supported. Can anybody convert my recovery.img into a flashable file?

I am currently using stock firmware and stock kernel but my recovery is twrp. I want to restore my stock recovery without affecting my root and modified system files.

You will need to find a stock recovery only image that can be installed by ODIN.

You can`t flash the extracted stock recovery with Odin but you can with Mobile Odin Pro from your phone. It also flashes .img files. Did it myself on the I9505.

I tried to flash recovery.img that i extracted from my stock firmware via mobile odin pro but got some problems. After boot logo, it goes back to the setup wizard like when you open your phone for the first time. I can't also proceed with the wizard since i'm getting an error like secsettings stopped responded.

[Q] Where to get Stock Kernel from?

Hi
Is there a way to get a stock kernel somewhere, in the purpose of flashing it either with CWM or in Odin? Everywhere I look, the Stock Rom packages contain the kernel, but also contain system image and recovery. I need only the kernel from this to flash, is there any way to get the kernel from each of this packages, so that I can flash it alone?

open the stock firmware with 7zip and copy the boot image to desktop
Thank you for taking the time.
So "boot.img" is kernel image?
If so, then once I extract the boot.img, how do I flash it using odin?

yes boot.img is the kernel.
you can use a special tool to make it a tar file like this
if you want. attach the boot.img here in a zip and i will make it for you
Thanks samersh72. I should probably learn that myself, you did enough for me already. I should be able to take it from here. Thanks again.

The easiest method is this:
- Extract boot.img from firmware (Using 7-Zip).
- Put boot.img inside the custom kernel zip file and replace the custom one with stock.
- Put it on your phone and flash it.
Don't forget to wipe boot and dalvik before flashing.
