Every time i try install a custom rom it boots back into recovery, and i can't boot into download mode either because of the constant booting into recovery mode. I'm on Philz touch 6 recovery. Does anyone know why?

Alright so I'm pretty noobish. I tried to back up my stock rom before flashing for a custom rom. I used custom recovery via odin. After that I went into rom manager, set up custom recovery version 5.x.x because I thought you could use rom manager after that. I thought that was the whole point of custom recovery for rom manager. Anyways after selecting backup current rom in rom manager I'm now stuck in a continuous recovery boot loop saying:
recovery booting......
recovery is not seandroid enforcing
set warranty bit : recovery
How do I get out of the boot loop? I've read that you can flash stock rom via odin, but all I was trying to do was backup the current one via rom manager from the custom recovery that I had already flashed. I'm thinking I messed up by not manually backing up. Am I screwed? Is there anyone who can help?!? Sorry for being so bad at this.
so i went ahead and flashed a stock rom and it booted it out of custom recovery boot loop. Didn't want to have to do that but o well.
Don't use a ROM manager, they are buggy and cause issues. - For future reference to get out of a bootloop just hold volume and power and it'll boot you into either download mode or Recovery mode (depending if you choose Vol UP or DN)
If you got the bootloop by just installing the Custom recovery, reboot the device by taking the battery out and placing it back in and powering up. If that doesn't work, reflash your recovery again and you should be good to go.
As for the recovery is not seandroid enforcing
set warranty bit : recovery
That is normal behaviour on a Samsung device when you use a custom recovery and nothing to worry about.

Yeah, I'm using TRWP now, I couldn't get philzrecovery cwm to work, nor the other custom recovery cmw. Didn't know you could reflash a recovery. Good to know. Thanks
Hello Guys,
So i managed to fix my previous error. Now I'm at the end almost. I'm installing CynagenMod 13 on my N9005. I installed ClockworkMod Recovery, I think. I say I think because when i try to boot into it I get the below message.
"Recovery Booting"
"Set Recovery Bit : recovery"
Then it goes black and vibrates twice and boots normally.
I have the CynagenMod in a zip on my SD and the guide i am following refers to the ClockworkMod Recovery menu. The normal Recovery menu loads fine, ClockworkMod Recovery doesn't seem to load. Can i use the normal Recovery or does anyone know a way of getting ClockworkMod Recovery to work?
Root is not required to flash a custom rom or recovery.
Try flashing twrp and then flashing a rom from twrp.
I recently installed twrp instructions and installed a custom ROM. Even since then the device boots normally into twrp recovery only. to boot into the rom, I have to boot through recovery, press power + volume dn and then it boots to the regular ROM. Should I start over on this or is there a way to change that preference so the device boots normally into the OS instead of twrp.
Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else already. I looked.

I am facing same issue. I don't have twrp or custom rom but stock recovery and stock rom. Everytime I boot or restart my phone it goes to recovery mode!! I couldn't find solution yet and its very annoying.
Try following the steps in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4/help/troubleshooting-twrp-boot-loop-ota-t3714325 Of course, ensure you have backups before erasing anything.
Hi, i have an h-870 model stuck in a twrp loop.
No matter what I do it will boot up in twrp.
I gave it to my dump brother and he managed to wipe the rom off it and now it just boots in twrp, I can't get it to download mode because as soon as I power it of from twrp it just goes into twrp again. Any ideas?
in goes in TRWP, because you don't have ROM installed. Flash rom. or go into download mode. You can get in download mode from TRWP boot loop, just shutdown phone.
Hello,
Previously I had flashed LineageOS v18 which had few bugs.
Then I flashed Android 10 official beta downloaded from Asus site (UL-ASUS_X00P-WW-AOSP-17.00.2003.23-user.zip).
Now I want to go back to another custom ROM but I am unable to boot into any recovery - stock recovery as well as TWRP.
- I have confirmed the bootloader is unlocked.
- Can't boot into stock recovery. Phone directly boots into OS.
- Tried "installing" TWRP in fastboot mode (fastboot flash recovery.img). Installation goes fine but when I reboot, the phone boots straight to OS instead of going into recovery.
- Tried "booting" TWRP in fastboot mode (fastboot boot recovery.img). Installation goes fine but when I reboot, the phone boots straight to OS instead of going into recovery.
- Tried both methods for booting into recovery (pressing the buttons as well as giving a command via fastboot).
Questions:
1. How can I boot into recovery?
2. If I can't boot into recovery, what can I do to flash a custom ROM?
