[Q] omnirom - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Hello,
I have just gotten a Samsung Galaxy S4 from Sprint
SW and Baseband version read the same: L720TVPUAMK5
Hardware version: L720T.03
Model Number: SPH-L720T
Android Version: 4.3
Kernel Version:
3.4.0-2099174
[email protected] #1
Build Number: JSS15J.L720TVPUAMK5
SELinux status:
Enforcing
SEPF_SPH-L720T_4.3_0012
Secure boot status: Type: Samsung
I was planning on putting omnirom on it. (I am new to this and several friends have recommended this so I thought I would give it a shot.) I have followed run saferoot and finished all of the steps. It appears to have worked as I now have hotspot capability. I am wondering if anyone can point me to instructions video or text that would explain the steps for omnirom or cyanogen mod. I wanted to try omnirom first but if there are issues I will try cyanogen mod.
Thanks for any help

Just go to the CM thread and follow the instructions on therr to get you up and running. I'm not 100% it will work since all Roms are built for l720 and you are l720t.

[Q] How to flash the newest ROM by friedrich420 on unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505?

Hello everyone! In advance, i would like to say that i am new in android, since i have owned 3 different iphones (3g, 4 and 5) all of them jailbroken. Android OS seems far better and the xda-developers team is number 1 in android mastering, so i would like for someone to guide me how to CORRECTLY flash this rom by friedrich420 to 4.3, since i have never done it before in my life. I have read about odin and the several steps i need to make to install this rom, but i am very afraid of bricking my phone. What should i do first? I have downloaded Odin_307.zip; philz_touch_5.18.5-i9505.tar.md5; Modem_XXUEMJ5_[GT-I9505]; EchoeRom_v5_18Oct. Is it 1. root 2. backup 3. flash ROM 4. Flash modem?....i own an unlocked, never rooted version of Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505, bought in the UK. Heres the about info:
Model number: GT-I9505
Android version: 4.2.2
Baseband version: I9505XXUDMH8
Kernel version: 3.4.0-1220396 [email protected]#1 Wed Aug 21 10:57:33 KST
Build number: JDQ39.I9505XXUDMH8
SELinux status: Enforcing
Secure boot status: Type: Samsung
Any help or link with tutorial will be greatly appreciated. thank you very much and thank you xda-developers team for the great work you have been doing all these years!

[Q] Questions About Upgrading My i9500

Hello. These are my i9500's details:
Android version: 4.2.2
Baseband version: I9500JKUAMD9
Kernel version: 3.4.5
Build number: I9500XXUAMDE
It is rooted and on the same stock rom I got when I purchased the phone, and according to these details:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-I9500
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
I'm quite convinced I don't have Knox.
I wanted to ask the following questions:
Is upgrading to 4.4.2 worth it? Are there any downsides?
Is upgrading to a stock 4.4.2 rom WITH root and WITHOUT Knox possible?
I'm guessing I'll need I9500XXUFNC2, right?
Thanks.

Can anyone tell me if i can use CM 14? and if so where to find all the downloads

I haven't installed a new ROM in over a year and wondering was told to look into CM 14. Here's what I'm currently using https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...opment/bsfreelollipop5-0rombok3based-t3292572 and I like it. just looking for something new.
Is CM 14 compatible with my phone and is there an instructional link on how to install everything? I haven't messed with ROM's in forever.

record=E930D4F2233B11E6949E0CC47A44B7B2this[/url] worked perfect for me change your OS back to OF1 with this link is a good download of it and flash with Odin
I'm also interested in rooting my verizon note 3. But I don't understand how to use the link provided for changing back to OF1.
My note 3 Baseband version after a recent update still reads N900VVRUEOF1, while the Build number is LRX21V.N900VVRSEPL1.
