Hi. Is it better to purchase an i337 with the old unlockable boot loader or the i9505G ( google play edition). The reason I ask, is because it "appears" as though there are more custom ROM's available for the i337 than there are for the i9505G.

Yes more of the first than the I9505G
But maybe more custom rom I9505 not the google edition

The current answer is no. This is because the Google Edition is based of the i9505 hardware. The only 'Google Edition' ROM contains proprietary drivers, libraries, etc that are specific to i9505 hardware.

I am going to rom my friends phone, I used to have an i9505 and he has the LTE-A i9506 model, so was wondering if I can just use the same thing.
TWRP doesn't seem to have a page for the i9506.

So I Currently have an Xperia z and my girlfriend as A Galaxy S4 I337M , We plan of Switching phones between each others, But First I need some infos before making the Switch. I am Currently on a Rooted phone with Custom rom So I want to make sure that Once I switched to the S4 I will be able to do so I've hearded some S4 are bootloader locked and **** about knox.
So is there anyways to know if the phone will support root/flashing custom roms ?

Canadian s4's come with unlocked bootloaders (no need to worry about safestrap). Root and install recovery as you will http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314494
Hey hey I 'm new to this community. s4 have a i337 at & t but maybe you wanted to change your system or install a rom s6 possess something like android 4.4.2 could help me before hand
I believe the AT&T s4 has a locked bootloader which limits the custom ROMs that can be installed on the phone. Have a look in the development forum to see what is compatible with your phone.
