i have my i9500 sitting here for 3 days and couldnt get this to work
ive installed stock 4.4.2 rom and 4.3, Omega, wanamlite , all of those worked fine with several different basebands
no matter what, when i flash the lastest miui v5 and ive tried two different older versions with those same basebands that worked with omega and stock rom for example i get "not allowed by sim" when trying to make calls
imei is ok, sn is ok, i can send sms, receive calls just fine but cannot make any calls no matter what i tried
i even gave up on miui and tried ColorOS by prism cause it looks a lot like it but im having problems there too, phone app keeps freezing and crashing when using it
please can anyone help me with this, im getting desperate : /
i was on 4.2.2 arrow rom and everything worked ok
then i flashed miui v5 which has no modem in it so basically the baseband should be left alone right ?
should be the one i had on arrow
i also made sure of that, its the same XXUFNA6
and still im having the same problem
not allowed by sim error
so what could have changed ???

Alright im gonna try to open a new topic as i'm not getting answers from other topics..
I'm on the i9505 international @ tmobile in holland.
After they released 4g here i wanted that ofcourse so i had to flash a new modem coming from XXUBMGA, so i went with some EK one.
From there on the wifi totally stopped working, i tried 5 different modems now and the sound is gone aswell now. I'm on the old bootloader, got no knox message or whatsoever, installed omega v16, before i had google 4.3 and miui port. I'm pretty lost because i followed all instructions perfectly and i tried modems that matched my bootloader, just nothing seems to work.. i just wish i could reverse back to 100% stock rom with no root, no nothing and sell the phone, so if someone please can give me the freakin solution, im getting grey here
Yeah, Omega rom is pain in the ass when you are on the old bootloader. There should be big warning on that thread. You are not the first with those issues.

This problem showed up after I flashed WanamLite 4.4.2 XXUFNA5 rom. I don't have sound nor wifi and the dialer is always hanging so no calls. I came from Wanamlite 4.2.2 XXUBMGA rom, which worked great before this kitkat upgrade. I've tried different modems, i've tried different roms (4.4.2) and it's always the same, except wifi was working on one rom, but no sound or calls.
I tried to flash the WanamLite 4.2.2 rom back, but there was no sound either and the dialer was hanging on this rom too. I've also tried to flash the stock rom with odin (4.2.2 XXUBMGA) and it always fails to aboot.mbn, and the phone says SW REV. CHECK FAIL: FUSED: 4, BINARY: 1. I've read about that once you go Kitkat, there's no going back because of the bootloader... ok I would accept that, if I would get everything working as intended. This is my first Android phone so i'm quite new with this, but i've "played" with computers since i was 9.
I will appreciate your help.

please PLEASE help/got a note 3 sm-n9005 a few days ago which had officail 4.3,so rooted with no problems,then installed a custum rom like i had done a 100 times with my s3,when i rebooted there was red letters on top left /rec overy not enforcing/seadroid enforcingthen in yellow letters setwarranty bit,it boooted into home screen,all my apps were there except i had a black background then went into settings and the phone went into bootloop`,tried a few diffrent roms in cwm,tried 4,4,2 and 4.3 then it jst bootlooped,took to a shop where he managed to install 4.4.2 but said the it needs a officail kernel asi i have no ime/bootloader/dosent that get installed with the officail firm ware now the conman want £50 to install the officail kernel as i cant make calls,jst keeps saying no sim inserted,had it before on my s3 but fixed it with a custom rom,should i try installing installing a 4.3 or .4..2 custom rom on it plz plz help guys

one of the fixes listed on that page is fixed now after he managed to install 4.4..2,the phone works fine,dosent crash or anything ,the only thing is he said i messed up the kernerl while i flashed a rom,i thought usally the fw installed the kernel but the exact same thing happened to my s3 and flashing my efs fixed it if i remember right,any moe hints
If you cant make calls and your IMEI will not shown, then those steps will help.
My phone worked fine too except of "no sim card" and no IMEI.
After that, my IMEI was back again and calls working .
Only the SN wasent the same. But on the page they say how you can change the SN
I have an s4 from rogers (Canadian model) and initially had cyanogen mod as my rom but I realized that I was missing nearly 5 GB of storage on my phone. I read that to fix this I had to go back to stock using Odin. I went back to stock 4.2.2 using Odin, but then my WiFi stopped working. I couldn't turn WiFi on or search for networks. I then rooted my phone and installed a rom and my WiFi problem was fixed, but now I cant make calls. Every time I try to call someone my screen goes black and the recipient cannot hear me and I cannot hear them. Also, the sound on my phone does not work. I have flashed multiple roms and still get the same problem. Does anyone know any possible solution. I have looked around and many people have had the same problem, but no solution. Any help would be appreciated.
It's because you flashed an old rom (4.2.2) on a newer bootloader. That doesn't work. Flash the latest rom available for you phone.

I have flashed multiple roms and most of them were the latest ones (4.4.4). This still did not fix the problem. Is this what you mean?

I'm sorry, I gave some wrong advice.
It's probably because you are on the old bootloader but you are using a new modem. That's the cause for the problems on our s4. You have a different s4 and there is a different section for your device.
You have to be in this section:

I have this problem since i flashed a rom after 4.2.2 i think. It was 2 years ago. After that i had flashed many other roms. Now im on RR7.1.2 v5.8.5.

I flashed Ozcan Rom 4.4.2 and now also sim cart is unabled. Now I'm trying to flash stock I9500XXUHPJ3. I post news when i'm done.
After i flashed Infernus v4-5.0.1 sim cart problem is disappears. Then i flashed Stock I9500XXUHPJ3 and its came again. And im flashing stock I9500XXUHPJ3 with repartition. But voice problem allways does.
Edit: It's done flash with pit. Now sim cart is gone.
Edit2: I flashed stock rom with pit via another Odin version. Sim problem is gone (and again and again ) but still i have that sound problem. I dont know what to do. How how do i check perfectly clear if this is a hardware problem ??
