Hello i'm currently using the i9100 Galaxy SII and planning to move to the S4 soon. I use dorimanx kernel & different rom that contain Paranoid Android Preferences (Pacman, Rootbox..) : I want to know if that's avalaible on the S4, if not is there any alternatives..? Thanks :good:
Actually it's the i9506 model that i'm gonna buy. So please anybody.. Tell me
There is little to no development for the i9506 if you're wanting custom ROMs get the i9505

I'm afraid that i9506 is the only one with compatible 4G here... What to do :/

Why not choose i9505
Not bad if you want a custom rom
I9505 also 4G but not full 4G as I9506
Ok but what if the missing 4G part is the only one i can use here..?

Hello guys, Some sellers from amazon are selling the I9500 at 400 bucks. Would you go for it?
Seems too good to be true, however amazon warranty is awesome, I've never had any issues with bad sellers when ordering through them
Link?

Rooting and flashing roms can be done easily on the i9500 as well.. I have Omega rom (pre-rooted) and a custom kernel on my i9500.
It's just AOSP roms that aren't available yet, but should be soon enough.
So, if you're into flashing AOSP roms and cannot wait for them to be available, or if you really need 4G, get the i9505.
If you like taking picture (or slow motion videos - 720p on the i9500) or want a slightly faster phone, get the i9500.

In that case, you're probably right.
It does seem to be too good to be true but then again like you said Amazon is pretty. Personally I think it should be legit and you should go for it.
a question i never find my phoen anywhere like cyanogenmod.org i only see galaxy s4 at&t and stuff i can't find i9500 or anything
whats my phone?!
I love AOSP roms like PA and Cyanogenmod . I hate touchwiz So I was very disappointed when I didn't find any roms AOSP for my galaxy s4 I9500 . I've noticed that the i9505 version is already enjoying the vanilla . So why is this ? I though the international version is the most important version just like the galaxy s3 i9300.
Can someone give more detail on this issue?

CM devs said it's a no go for the exynos chip which is in OCTA core i9500. The snapdragon i9505 will have official CM. I'm sure exynos may just as well.
There will be some one able to do in coming days just have to wait
I've saw this article http://androidfannetwork.com/2013/0...laxy-s4-i9500-is-not-getting-custom-rom-love/
According to the article it's very unlikely we gonna see AOSP roms for i9500 because Samsung will never release the octa 5 sources for the developers.
After reading about it I guess I'll sell my s4 i9500 for the i9505 ....

You obviously didn't notice that the article links to files from XDA. This is a ported ROM. The Google Edition is the GT-I9505, not the 9500. Samsung will likely never release properly functioning userspace drivers, etc. for the Exynos, so anything that CM devs do to get things working will be, at best, polishing the turd that Samsung leaves the AOSP community.
So I just recently bought this beast of a phone, and I'm loving it. I am rooted and stuff and have been messing around with the ROMS on the forum for the Verizon S4. I found this forum the other day and was wondering if I can flash these ROMS to my S4 which is i545 rather than the i9505 or i9500. So can i flash these ROMS like a normal flash or would I have to do something different to get these ROMS like MiUi on my phone. ( I love MiUi.) Thanks for the help

For safety of the device stay away from other then your device forum
As other varaiants will have different mount codes and kernel which mostly will brick your phone

Hey guys, if i am lucky I will hopefully soon be a happy galaxy s4 owner. However, this device shall be sent to me from Kuwait. Now my main question is, would that make my device have an exynos or a snapdragon CPU.
No need to get into details here a simple yes or no would be fine with the next question: battery life .. Is the snapdragon better?
Any notable differences?
Flashing to stock firmware of any sort possible just like during the sgs1 times? Or is it like ****ty old HTC? Thanks in advance

The I9505 seems to dominate the forum with devs developing for this more than the I9500. This may change but at the moment it seems that unless you are hardcore set on the Octacore CPU that has no noticeable difference when using the phone then the I9505 is the way to go...

Kuwait sells both versions, so it depends on which you purchased. Guess you will find out soon enough. I9505 has more dev support because it's based on the Krait/QC chip where the I9500 has Perseus, one of the greatest kernel devs on all XDA.

I have the AT&T S4 and you can only use the AT&T and I9505 ROMs. You have to flash the loki-doki zip afterwards though. You won't have to unlock again

Wanam Lite and Omega are both amazing! :good:
Hello I have an s4 i9500 version. But there are so few roms available that is pretty sad. I was wondering if I can flash a rom for the i9505 and change kernel to make it work. I'm wondering if it could work because I saw a video of the HTC One in youtube and the person did something similar between the spring and the International variant. So I'm wondering if will it work

No definitely not.
If you flash i9505 ROM you will brick your device!
