So I have been having issues with my voice mail over the past week. Sometimes it would work sometimes it would tell me I didn't have a mailbox on the server.
Today I called t-mobile and they went through all their steps to fix it. My voice mail started working again but now anytime I have any notification icon pop-up (text message, email, missed call) my phone lags really bad and about every minute does some sort of weird half reboot. Screen goes black, has to reload lock screen and all widgets just like when the phone first boots. I was wondering if anyone else had seen or heard of anything like this.
I am on stock JI6 firmware, stock kernel, with the four lock-screen mod, and the circular battery mod. I have not had a problem with either mod for the three weeks I have been running them. T-Mobile rep told me to factory reset my phone which worked for about 10 minutes then gave me the same problem again.
Any help would be much appreciated, I don't really want to go through the process of flashing with odin and setting up my phone another time.
I'm using Google Voice on my G1 and it has had trouble sending messages. Sometimes when I go to send it stays in an infinite sending loop. I've tried ending the process with ATK but it does nothing. This problem has occured across every rom I have tried (currently using emanthors new version) so I'm wondering if it's app related and not phone related.
I've had the same thing happen to me every once in awhile. I would just pull the battery and restart my phone, and then it would be working again. Not to sure what could be causing the problem. Probably a combination of both the ROM and app.
same here and rebooting or yanking the battery after 2-5 messages is a struggle lol
Any fixes for this
Sent from my G1 2.2 using XDA App
Guys,
I have this strange problem, my phone hangs every time i end a call, so i should pull the battery out and restart. I am using Vibrant from T-mobile in India on Airtel. I am currently on Bionix latest version. i had this problem in earlier versions too.. I have bestskins ever installed on my phone. What i also observed is, when i put my phone in a hard case, it hangs much more.. like hell.. so waiting for inputs..
Thanks in advance...
Do you possibly have the audible tones selected and on? I noticed when I use those (I like the end call tone) then the phkne will hang or fc after end call.
sent from the galaxy of Trigger V2.1.1
So when I try to call a phone number...there is a long delay before the first ring occurs. The phone stopped vibrating like it normally does when a call connects too. In addition to this, I cannot hang up the phone call. Even after the other end hangs up it still shows the call in progress.
This started randomly occurring! I never changed my ROM or updated anything. Help!
Also in the past, I've tried to send SMS and it keeps trying to send and eventually fails. I just have to keep retrying to eventually get it to work. It happened sporadically but lately it happens almost everyday. Is this simply network congestion? I'm in the LA area.
Running evodeck
I think I fixed my phone issue. Just called myself from another phone and it appears to have fixed itself. Still having text messages get stuck though.
Edit: Nevermind...when I try to text and it gets stuck...it breaks my phone calls again.
First take it off smartass governer my phone had trouble with it secondly I had a problem similar to yours with the proximity sensor in the development section under evodeck 1.3b I posted another sensors.supersonic.so file that worked for me.
Don't know if that will help your problems also I posted the link to stop wake lock in there is do that too.
I'm still on evodeck 1.2 CPU settings are default to evodeck... ONDEMAND ... min 245 max 998
Just cleared my dvalik and cache and I guess it works again...shrug. Not sure if it's coincidence that the network is "fixed" or what. Lots of my friends say though that they get stuck texts all the time if they simultaneously send a text when they receive one.
Can anyone help here? I'm running a T-Mobile SGT7, and it runs great, with the Sapir version of CM10 from the development section.
The dreaded Phantom Voicemail has returned. The options to turn off Voicemail Notifications under PHONE do not exist in this version, and I can't seem to get any help getting rid of it. It is annoying as hell, because every time my phone comes out of airplane mode, I have to hear the notification sound go off (even though the voicemail notification sound is set to SILENT), and the icon just won't go away.
Steps I've taken.
1. Notified erezak, the guy making Sapir, multiple times.
2. Searched for any known fixes. Found none for CM10 at least, other than for Sprint devices. They seem device specific.
3. Looked for the setting under phone, which doesn't exist in CM10 for some reason, though it was there for CM9...
4. Froze the Mobile Data (voicemail, in Titanium Backup) app in Settings/Apps. Comes back the next time airplane mode is turned off.
5. Uninstalled the Mobile Data app (in Titanium Backup), and the Phone keeps crashing until I reboot. When I reboot, the notification is gone, but I also don't get any bars for phone. I need it for AGPS.
Keep in mind, I do NOT use the actual phone option here, as the device is installed in the dashboard of my car, but place calls with it using Tablet Talk to my phone.
Also, the SGSIII had this going on, and they added the fix for it some time ago. If you don't know what Phantom Voicemails are, it is getting a voicemail notification that cannot be cleared, at all. The phone on my tablet has never been used.
Suggestions?
Over a thousand views, several ROM updates, and the option to disable voicemail notifications still isn't here.
The fix for CM10 for other devices is there, can't we just pull that?
Perhaps this could help get this fixed for us?

I'm having issues with the build system again.
However, the next build will contain the option to disable the notification.
My apologies for the time it took.
Missing voicemail icon
