Just curious. Use it on a few games my 5 yr old plays. Thanks.

I cannot get it to work either. It doesn't seem to acknowledge root.
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
I've noticed this with a couple root apps. My guess is they haven't been updated properly (e.g., ES File Explorer). I think it may have something to do with SELinux, but that's just a shot in the dark.
I got it to work some what. I am rooted using kingo and on stock rom. If I remember right I used the older version of gk. 1.90 I think. Worked for need for speed. Also worked for deer hunter.

Ive tried many of the hotspot apps in the market but none seem to work as I always get an error message. does anyone have any suggestions?

Yea I've been wondering the same thing.
Why don't you root and flash the mod ?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
You need to root then do the mod to get them to work
You can always unroot after flashing the mod if it is that much of a problem to be rooted.
Why not just root the phone? No harm done in rooting, right??
I was just hoping to stay stick for a while, but I guess that's not going to happen.

ROOT IT ROOT IT ROOT IT!!! It's worth it.

you can stay stock if you want yet still root. I have yet to flash a custom rom but been rooted since day 1.
Wow, the rooting process is so much easier and faster than on the original evo. It's like I barely had to do anything. Thanks for the help everyone, it was definitely worth rooting.

Had originally rooted. Installed Cyanogenmod.Everything worked fine until I updated a nightly. Phone went into boot/reboot loop. I was finally able 2 get into recovery & wipe cache, dalvic & format. got Cm back up & running but now its not rooted. Tried motochanger...NOT! then Odin 7.03. using CF-Auto-Root-jfltesprl-sphl720.tar.md. Wen I ran it shows passed but & rooted but wen I use root checker it shows not rooted. Anyone with a solution? Plz advise. Thank you
I'm pretty sure motochanger doesn't work with our phones seeing as how they are Samsung...cf-auto root is what you need..
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
Omg so dramatic!!!!!
Yeah use cf
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
Rooting but NOT!!!
HUH? not dramatic. Just Frustrated & Wats CF? If ur referring 2 auto CF. I already did that! several times & it passes as rooted but its NOT!!!...TY 4 reponding
Thanx. I found that out about Motochanger being totally useless. I did use CF & still it passes as rooted but its not!

Exactly this. If it shows pass in Odin but you still don't have the superuser app or are missing binaries you can usually install supersu from the play store.
If that doesn't work, you can try the superuser switcher app, also from the play store, and then try superuser.
Hope this helps.
Thought I would share cuz it took me forever to figure it out but if you want to get rid of that custom padlock after root...you can use the Wanam Xposed Module. Just go into security hacks and check "fake system status" to make it"official" again. This might be old news but it took me forever to find something that worked.

Wanam does nothing on my note 3 your trick didn't work nor does any other feature this app offers. Strange

It does work, just did it this morning. Are you familiar with how to enable modules in the Xposed framework app (Go to modules and make sure that is is checked, then reboot.) Also for this particular module (And most that mess with boot stuff) a second reboot is required to see the changes.
Yep. .. That did it. .. Thanks

Are you on a custom ROM? I had it working on stock then flashed a ROM and it stopped; or should I say it worked intermittently . After this latest OTA I decided to remain stock and it's working fine again on every reboot ... Not saying that this is your issue, just thought I'd throw it out there.

I'm on stock MJE. Wanam is working now that I updated the module.
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
Lol. I only used custom roms to be able to theme certain things....with wanam it works best on stock which so far keeps the phone working at its best for me anyway. Xposed is awesome IMO.
???Sent from my precious Samsung Galaxy Note 3???
Another great module for Xposed is called "Unicon". Lets you change your icons everywhere on your phone...even the lockscreen shortcuts and some settings icons. Uses icons from almost any launcher theme without having to change launchers.

I've had this icon ever since I rooted this puppy. Never goes away. Even when I odin back to full stock firmware. Wanam only masks this. But it does not work for me, regardless. So how does one actually get this to go away other than odin stock flash? Cuz if I ever need to revert back for warranty, it's still gonna be there on my phone.

As i already root and now i am on omega rom plus omega kernel. But i cannot uses gamecih, gameguardian, and gamekiller. It said i have no root previlage. But link2sd and titanium backup work perfectly. This 3hack didnot work on s5. Why is that? Anyone?

I got it working guys!! it requires SuperSu. with its latest update you can update its su binary and it allows you to use the app.
The only one that i found that works is gameguardian. install the latest version and when give it permissions. set the temp file path to /sdcard.
THATS IT

I have a n910T and installed yesterday with no issue. I can upload it if anyone wants it. I just wanted to be sure it was OK with the moderators first

Same for me, its not in the Play Store. I'm also running a full Note7 ROM (Aurora 4.1). Maybe that has something to do with it.

It works on stock ROMs only. Rooted devices are not supported.

What a shame. My iOS devices are jailbroken too. I guess I'll never be able to play this game haha.

I installed it on a unrooted rom(dr. Ketan s7edge m6, on 910t, ran the game, then rooted.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/general/guide-super-mario-run-fix-rooted-devices-t3579671...actually scratch this. It reverts right back. You'll have to keep doing it.....
It works, but don't have to make a Nintendo account.
I try the apk from Apk Mirror.
To play Mario your phone cannot be rooted. To play with root you have to sign in Nintendo and before playing the game you have to clear app data.
Working fine on n910f with Resurection Remix 5.8.2. Had to use Magisk to bypass SafetyNet though.
Works on my 910f with Stock 4.4.4. But its a crap game imo.
