Sorry if someone has posted this already but I am wondering if there is a way to change the new ugly gray launcher bar back to black. It is super annoying when you are watching movies and stuff. Preferably I would like to get the stock launcher bar back without having to load a custom rom. Thanks.
You can load the StarBurst Toicwiz ROM

Doesn't he still need a Deodexed rom? Said he doesn't want a custom rom, so it wouldn't work.
you will need to root and flash clockworkmod recovery. If you take the plunge there are a few options on the theams page. I id have to say this is one of the easiest devices to root

Thanks you! This is exactly what I was looking for! Will this work on a stock rooted rom?
If its rooted, i don't see why not.
Boot in clockworkmod recovery and flash it from there.
Modded version of SystemUI to add 9 Toggle functions to the QuickPanel. There is also longpress options to go directly to the setting.
I have only tested this on KJ3 so I'm not sure if it'll work on previous versions or not. Use at your own risk.
Special thanks to crt60 for helping me get this running in KJ3

If running a custom version of ROM KJx, will this also change my battery, clock, data and wifi icons in the notification bar at the top of the drawer back to stock?
Awesome, I extracted the systemui.apk and used root explorer to drop it in system/app then rebooted and it worked flawlessly! Thanks for this.
Yes some of the bar icons are controlled by SystemUI.apk, but also from framework-res.apk so I'm not exactly sure what would change.
I had a similar situation with a previous rom where sometimes my signal bars world be white and sometimes green because the framework file had green icons and my sysui file had white.
Its best to backup your files, in this case SystemUI.apk, before trying out a new one

Awesome mod!! Been wanting this for a while now. I was even trying to get this done myself but it just didn't work. I can report this works!! Thank you for this!!
There are two small things I noticed I just thought I would mention though. Carrier name is not shown in the drop down, and when I scroll to any side, there is no overscroll glow on the sides. I am using crt60's power menu and crt off mods.

it appears that this only works for deodexed ROM
tried it after flashing the KJ3 odin one click and status bar will not start keeps force closing
IM assuming that if one was to deodex the stock rom it would work
but wouldn't it be simpler to make a package like this that works on stock odexed?
Actually if i remember correctly it is more difficult to theme an odexed rom as opposed to a deodexed.
How easy would it be to re-odex this package so it would work on an odexed ROM? Is that some thing i could do myself?
If so how? Im sure there are other people wondering the same thing.
I would love to have the 9toggles but it seems this is impossible with an odexed rom. why-o-why?
I installed your system.ui apk with root explorer sucessfully onto Fasty's KJ1...only changes were; lost transparent dropdown and logo, and 'H' is now 3G only (native to KJ3?), and wifi + data icon are stock...these are all non-issues for me as the usefulness of the 9 toggle trade-off is well worth it! Fasty's KJ1 battery icon (personal favorite) remained! Thanks.
Same result as above. Thanks.
This is Blitz76's 9 QuickPanel Toggle with the over scroll fixed.
That was my bad.....

Thanks crt60, I tried the update you posted but I still don't see the overscroll glow. I flashed from cwm, then I tried just copying and pasting w/ root explorer. Am I doing something wrong?
Oh and did you guys remove the provider name from the drop down on purpose?

The over scroll I'm talking about is when you scroll it, it went too far to the left. I have absolutely nothing to do with the code, I just assisted with some graphics.
There is no "you guys" about it. Its all blitz76. I wouldn't have even posted this fix if I didn't think he was really busy and might not be back for a few days.
Does it work on KJ2 ?
Anyone try on KH3 Pinnacle 1.3?

Also got FC but managed to get it working.
Use a file manager to mount /system/app rw then rename SystemUI.odex to SystemUI.odex.old, then reboot. This should fix the issue.
However I noticed that carrier name is now gone from pulldown menu, is it by design?
Hello there..so earlier today I successfully installed foxhound 1.4 on my ATT Galaxy S4...now I see that air gesture...smart stay..scroll..etc are all still there...but what is the point ? you cant use those features unless you have the stock browser...well I looked everywhere and cant find the stock browser...is there anyway I can put the stock browser back on the phone in order to use those features (yes I actually use them a good bit) or can I make it work with the browser that came installed with the foxhound rom...any help would be GREATLY appreciated...
thank you so much
Find a SecLauncher3.apk TW version and copy it using root explorer to the system/app directory, and set the proper file permissions, catch is, do this why you are on nova launcher, or it will crash on you.
Good luck
thanks you

(I tested this mod with 3 different roms, WORKS PERFECT)
Use the thanks button...good luck.
Since Vzw has root now and SS I've been trying to find a compatible theme that'll get rid of Tw's ugly green and give me more of a AOSP stock KitKat look. I've tried Alliance Mod, and it works great besides the fact that when I first reboot upon applying the mod, if the screen turns off and the phone goes to sleep it won't turn on without a battery pull. I also tried Sicks black mod. It's made for ATT S5 (I think) but since it's just a framework mod I assumed it would work. But nope, just bootlooped (on his really cool logo BTW)
I'll link these here but what I'm asking is until we get a themed rom is there a flashable KitKat or L theme that is compatible with our VZW S5?
P.S. I have already used xposed so I know about all the modules that'll theme but I'm trying to get ART working on Elli's rom so I can't use xposed.
I'm only adding these links so you can see what I'm talking about. This is NOT my work.

Thank you for any help that is to come.
Only had my nexus a few days and i'm new to the layers theme setup...
Anyway installed layers manager, got the spectrum layers theme from playstore which says its marshmallow comp...
Installed the theme i wanted you have a choice choose black marshmallow framework with electric blue detailing, phone keeps rebooting, so removed virtually everything except system UI and dark marshmallow framework and get a lot of black on black issue's and also the phone still reboots occasionally, removed all the layers phone is fine no more rebooting...
Running Sinless rom if that makes any difference...
Any idea why i can't get the theme to install without reboots and i presume the black on black issue's are theme related ?
I did read somewhere about joining the layers community on google plus which will then allow a layers beta install and this was more stable on marshmallow so i've done that its still not working but i'm not sure the layers app has updated to a beta version...
Any advice will be greatly appreciated...
Thanks
I'd say give something else a try before. If I remember correctly, there's a Layers theme by SpaStef (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=bitsykolayers.InversionFree) give this a try and report back.
cheers dude that seems to work perfect...
Many thanks...
Must be a theme issue with the spectrum theme i purchased...
