I use Tinted Status Bar on my phone and I love it, and I'd like to use it on my Nexus 7 too, but I don't like that it makes the navigation bar opaque.
Can I use it and still have a transparent navbar? I've turned it off in Android System and Nova Launcher but it's the same.

That is the one thing I would like. I currently have NOVA launcher. I like it because you can theme the icons and such but now I have the black status bar and black navi bar as well. In the stock launcher there is an option to make them both transparent. What am I missing?

I'm wondering the same thing. I've gone back to LG's launcher for this reason. Hopefully the ROM gods will add this as an option to add on.
I was going to come post the same thing. I just applied auto-hide soft keys and was wondering if this was an option. Using Nova and I pinch to bring the status bar and knock on to sleep on the status bar as well.

I have a transparent nav bar (the thing that you pull down to see your notifications... I'm a bit of a noob) and transparent status bar, and it is getting boring. I don't want the regular stock, but I'm not 100% on going to another ROM. If anyone knows a way to get a TRANSLUCENT bar (kind of like IOS 7's) it would make me a happy camper . Try "Tinted status bar" on xposed installer. Its an xposed module and you can make the navigation bar and the status bar different colors OR transparent. [emoji1]
Isn't that a function came with 4.3?

I found a neat little trick to get transparent nav/status bars on pretty much any custom launcher. i use a theme that has gradient transparent nav/status bar. i use a theme called Pureness V4

I find the "flat style colored bars" to be significantly more functional as compared to "tinted status bar"
I need some help!
I have note 4 unrooted.
And i need transparent status bar in full screen.
I m using this app: StatusBar in FullScreen (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.jskt.togglestatusbar&hl=en)
to get status bar show up in apps with full screen.
And now i need that status bar in full screen to be transparent.
I need my default bar to be transparent not some artificial bar that is over the default one.
I would like to leave my phone unrooted.
