CF AutoRoot - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 General

The famous and honorable mister Chainfire posted a working cf auto-root for the NotePRO Wifi and NotePRO LTE here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50498424&postcount=235
I tested the WiFi variant and it works like a charm.
The procedure is as usual (Beware: This root method will flag or trip the KNOX counter):
1. download the zip file and unzip it
2. Use Odin 3.09 and put the unzipped tar.md5 file in the AP slot (all options set to default)
3. Boot your NotePRO into download mode (turn off NotePRO and hold the volume down button and power button simultaneously. Follow the instructions on the screen)
4. connect the NotePRO to your computer via the USB port, wait until Odin sees the device and hit Start

Interesting. My NotePro 12.12 Wifi only has two days so I'll wait a bit more before rooting, but definitely have to do it.
Will this work with all stock ROMs/countries?

Worked great - no issues. Tablet is now much more productive.
Best part is using AppSetting Xposed module. Can finally make use of the screen real estate :good:
Can't seem to get Pen Window Manager to work though. Would really like to be able to configure the list of pop up windows. Wanam works great for adding apps to the Multi Window Tray. But it doesn't have options for Pen Window.

If an update gets pushed for our device will we be able to install it without a custom recovery?

Chainfire made the CF-Auto-Root whit recovery's.img from this Rom's:
P900 --> P900XXUANB3
P905 --> P905XXUANB1

I got stuck at cache.img trying to root and now my device seems stuck with the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". Not sure how to fix it. Googling...

Reboot back into bootloader and flash original recovery that was submitted to chainfire.

So I should flash the recovery img .tar file the same exact way I tried to do the root zip file? In the PDA slot?
EDIT: The answer is apparently yes.
Thank you I was worried there for a bit!

I think so but am not sure. I missed out on an os update with my 2012 note because I rooted early, and when the OS update rolled around I didn't know where to start. Paying closer attention this time, but I'm already needing root for a few things (disable capacitive buttons, full lmt functionality)

Hopefully this will get the tablet moving in the right direction. Missing xposed was weird. Now we can block ads and do all the fun stuff AND most importantly GREENIFY!!!! which didn't seem to work correctly without being rooted.

Confirm if it works but shouldnt you be able to launch anything in the mw bar as a floating window just by tapping it? Even if it doesnt go to the pen window box

Weird. Before I rooted, many programs wouldn't let me launch windowed from the multi window tray. Had to drag for normal multi window. But it seems now it let's me. Don't know why.

Anyone have any ideas why CF's root would be getting stuck at cache.img for me? I'm bummed I can't get this working.

First flash the recovery.img.tar via odin and after that the cf root md5 file.I got stuck at the cache.img also but solved it with first flashing the recovery tar.

Just so I am trying the right thing.
So would I do it this way?
1. turn off the auto reboot flag in Odin
2. Put P900XXUANB3-RecoveryImg.tar in PDA slot. Click Start,
3. turn auto reboot flag back on (?)
4. Put CF Auto root file in PDA slot. Click Start.
Thanks!

Oops, never mind. I can't turn off Auto Reboot.
I have tried flashing the CF Auto Root file after getting back to a usable state with the RecoveryImg.tar but same thing happens.

Previous to this I used http://adbdriver.com/ to install the adb driver, you'll need to do this first so that your computer will see the device in download mode. Make sure your tablet is connectible via 'adb devices' - it should be listed. You'll need to enable adb in developer options.

I left the auto-reboot checkbox checked. The device reboots 2 more times (one to install the root, the second after restoring to the original recovery).

No need to root to remove ads including YouTube ads. Go to ad block plus site and download the apk from there. Just change the Internet settings to manual and put localhost port 2020 and you are good to go.

[GUIDE] Rooting Galaxy Tab 10.1 - ICS

Hello everybody.
I had some hard time rooting my tablet because of the broken links and outdated guides that didn't work if you had updated to stock ICS. After some hours of tinkering I managed to find the correct files for rooting it so here's and up to date guide for rooting the Galaxy Tab 10.1 with the latest ICS OTA update.
For the record my tablet is GT-P7500 with 3G. This guide should also work for GT-P7510 which is WiFi-only. Please leave a reply if it worked for your other model so I can include it here! Please also tell me if there are mistakes in the guide or you have a problem at some point.
If you follow these steps you will void your warranty.
The package can be downloaded from the signature, or in a single file here:
MIRROR - 1 (Down at the moment)
MIRROR - 2 (Mediafire)
The package ROOT-GT-P7500.rar includes:
A recent version of Odin (v3.07 - 2013)
Samsung USB drivers for Windows
Odin flashable TWRP recovery
TWRP flashable SuperSu
1 - Preparation
Extract the files to a place on your computer.
Make sure Kies isn't running on your PC. Look for its icon in the notification area.
Install "Samsung_USB_Driver_1.5.5.0.exe".
Move the file "Flashable_SuperUser.zip" to the root of your sdcard.
Open "Odin3 v3.07.exe" on your PC.
Press the "PDA" button and select "recovery-TWRP-P4-P7500.tar".
Leave Odin open on the PC.
2 - Download mode
Turn off your tablet.
Connect the USB cable.
Hold POWER + VOLUME DOWN until you see some Android images.
Press VOLUME UP, wait a moment until you get to another screen an press it again.
You should now be in "Download mode".
Open Odin and make sure that the first ID:COM column has a bluish colours and some text like "0:[COM4]". The ID:COM turns blue whever Odin has detected connection between your PC and the tablet. If it's still white/grey something is wrong with the USB connection or the Samsung USB-driver.
3 - The flashing
Now everything should be ready for Odin to flash you a new recovery. Don't change any of the default settings other than what's mentioned here.
Press "Start" in Odin to begin the flash, it should only take a few seconds. If your tabletreboots everything went fine!
If you have problems with Odin detecting your tablet, try rebooting your computer and your tablet, and using a different USB port. It's probably a driver problem.
Now turn off your tablet to enter the new TWRP recovery.
Hold POWER + VOLUME DOWN until you see some Android images.
Press VOLUME DOWN once and then VOLUME UP once to enter recovery.
Use TWRP to backup your current ROM in case something goes wrong or you want to return to stock ROM some time. Google "TWRP guide" if you don't know how to use it.
Once the backup is done, press "Install" in the TWRP main menu.
Locate the "Flashable_SuperUser.zip" and flash it.
If it flashed without errors, reboot your tablet and see if you now have SuperSu within your apps.
You should now have root access!
4 - Custom ROMs
If you want to install custom ROMs, find a flashable ZIP of your favourite ROM and put it on your SDCARD.
You might want to use a program like TitaniumBackup to back up all your apps so you can restore them later on your new ROM.
Follow the above steps from step 4 to enter recovery.
Backup your ROM again.
Press "Wipe" and then wipe cache, dalvik-cache, system and do the factory-reset.
Press "Install" and locate your ROM's ZIP-file.
Flash it and reboot!
That's about it. For long-time reliability I've included the file package in the signature in a split rar file (XDA doesn't allow big files). Download them all and then extract only one of them like any other rar file. If none of the mirrors aren't working and you have a problem downloading it from the sig, feel free to send me a PM.
If this helped you, please press thanks!

I have never user UnlockRoot. This is the manual way of doing it. If UnlockRoot works then it's probably easier for beginners to use that method

Did you at least manage to install CWM or TWRP recovery? There should be a button called "Mount USB-storage". Press it and connect the tablet to your PC, it should show up as a storage device. If that doesn't work you can always use ADB PUSH on Windows to move files to your phone that is in recovery mode. There are several guides for that.
EDIT: Nvm, didn't notice you had fixed it already.
Hey man thanks for this guide. I've been flashing my sgs1900 here & there for a few years but just acquired a SG 10.1 tab so obviously I had to root it for flashing some custom roms later on. Anyway I can see things are more or less the same, but still just a little bit different enough to want to have a good guide at hand before I get all smug at myself later on for thinking I'm a rom king
Excellent guide & thank you for all the required files. KUDOS!
Sdcard
Sorry, I'm new to this. I understand everything except the part that says "Move the file "Flashable_SuperUser.zip" to the root of your sdcard." how do I do this? When I hook up the tablet to my pc, I do not see a sdcard folder.

My apologies, that part really is a bit confusing. "The root of your sdcard" means that you don't put it in any folder. It's the upmost folder level that the user can access without root rights.

Will there be any issues running this from 64bit Win7?
I flashed the TWRP file using attached odin and recovery file.
No issues during flash, but when I goto TWRP the screen flickers.
Just like the refresh rate is not ok.
Someone ideas?

Currently I succeeded by using the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2098429
and using the rom [ROM] [JB 4.3.1] CM10.2/SGT7 for P4WIFI and P4 [20140223] accordingly. It was a frightning night but we servived (me and my tablet).
Thanks again.
well.. I broke it
i've followed this instruction and forget to sweep content before rom instalation and my rom is broken.
I've been searching a way to transfer another rom data to my tab memory but somehow my laptop couldn't detect TWRP v4.2.2 version.
I'm still searching for another TWRP version that can be file pushing on to TWRP directly from my laptop.
is there any suggestion?
thank you

So, just to be certain I understand (because I'm eager to root my Tab Pro 12.2):
You are talking about rooting your SM-T900, right?
You used the file in the link and followed the steps to root the SM-P900 except that you used Odin 3.09 to root your SM-T900, right?

you are CORRECT. this is the same file i rooted the "NOTE PRO 12.2" but i returned it because i dont need pen so i grabbed the "TAB PRO 12.2"
yes i have the SM-T900
You dont have to change Odin to 3.09. I used 3.07 and it worked fine.
Mine is stuck flashing cache.img
Tried both with Odin 3.07 and Oding 3.09
Figured out proper procedure:
#1 If you're soft bricked flash any full stock recovery image. If you're functional go to next step.
#2 After done rebooting, reboot to stock recovery by holding Power + Volume Up and releasing power upon seeing the Samsung splash screen.
#3 Wipe cache using stock recovery.
#4 Reboot into download mode by holding Power + Volume Down, press Up when told to do so
#5 Use EITHER Odin 3.07 OR 3.09 to flash CF-Auto-Root package for SM-P900, yes, the image for the NOTE PRO will root the TAB PRO
#6 Patiently wait for reboot.
#7 Profit.
Worked Perfectly
I just used Odin 3.07 as well. Worked fine. I'm all rooted.
I downloaded the file linked in the first post on this thread, then
just followed the steps here:
http://androidcentral.us/2014/03/root-samsung-galaxy-note-pro-12-2/
It went quick. I did not get a message on the Odin screen that said "PASS". I did see some messaging and then something said "successful"
It had rebooted and Root Checker said it was rooted.
I'm very happy. Thanks to all who tried this out and then posted details.
I'm thinking of getting the Tab 4. I cant find a forum or rooting help. Any ideas please share.

This root method isnt working for my T900
I have been trying all day to root my T900 with Odin and Chainfire.
Followed the instructions and Odin recpgnizes the device, but when the actual flashing starts it gets stuck, the screen shows just thin horizontal stripes and Odin shows "fail".
Luckily I can get the T900 back into download mode (which show there was a problem with thw update) and then flash stock recovery using Odin, which restores the T900 to how it was before I tried rooting... but with tripped Kn0x and no root!
I tried T900 and P900 chainf. methods and Odin v.3.07 and 3.09... but same each time.
Funny thing is that when Odin is connected it shows I9505 next to the Odin Logo in the window, not T900. Is this normal?
Would appreciate any help.
Ps: yes debugging was ticked on T900.

Thanks for the tip, but I already tried a "normal" USB cable and reinstalled USB drivers.... no luck.
Got a message fron Kies 3 saying my unit was not compatible when I tried to flash T900 recovery as well.
Would help if someone with the T900 could confirm if Odin shows connection to T900 ... or to I9505 like mine shows.
I installed some ported Note 3/Note Pro SPens apps (incl. SDK) from here in XDA, made for the S4, which enable Spen features.
Maybe thats why I9505 shows in Odin?
BTW.That ported ActionMemo app on my T900 works great....like on my Note 3 with handwriting "lassoo" - which was missing on my Tab version. So now my T900 is very similar to a P900, just with capacitive stylus or finger instead of SPen. If I had root I think I could even open that popup SPen menue by gesture.
Tried to root & bricked - on 2nd TM-900
Hello. New to this part of the forum but not to rooting Android devices (I have rooted my Galaxy Note 2, my wife's S4, my daughters Nabi Tablet and several HTC phones). A few days ago I got my 1st TM-900 (build KOT49H.T900UEUAND4) and attempted to root after setting it all up (naturally). I used Odin 3.07 and the procedure on Android Central which had me download the CF-Auto-Root-v2wifi-v2wifixx-smt900.tar.md5 file. I followed the directions and the tablet seemed to get stuck flashing cache.img. I waited for what seemed like quite a while and finally ended up pulling the cord - was unable to get into recovery/download mode to flash it back. Luckily I bought it 3 days ago and returned it for a new one. I really want to root, but now are a bit leery. I see where it says to flash with a SM-P900 file. Is this right and will it work with build T900UEUAND4 on a TM-900?
Also does it take it quite awhile to complete the process? the phones I rooted went quick, this took almost 15 minutes (or longer if I left it). I'm thinking I got "antsy" and should have waited longer on the 1st one. Can't afford to brick this one but feel naked without my root. Words of wisdom/advice for the second one?

So now my T900 is very similar to a P900, just with capacitive stylus or finger instead of SPen. If I had root I think I could even open that popup SPen menue by gesture.

My the version of Odin I downloaded has something similar (forget the excat wording) but if you look in the same folder/location as the Odin exe file resides you will see an Odin3.ini file - if you open it you will see that same text on the Title line - id did a quick compare between different Odin downloads and that seemed to be the only difference I saw. I edited mine to say Hello Michael.

NB5 is written on the end of the build number.
Think I'll wait until the weekend then try to root again using an older xp laptop.

[HOW-TO] [ROOT] Root Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P31XX using Linux

This guide will teach you how to root the Tab 2 7.0 P3110 and P3113 running Android version 4.1+ in Linux. I tested this with 4.1.2, but it should work on anything later and possibly ICS (This has not been tested in ICS, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.)
NOTICE: I am not responsible for what happens to your tablet! Make sure you use the correct files for your tablet model. This has been successfully tested on my P3113. THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY AND IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG COULD BRICK YOUR TAB!!! Proceed at your own risk!
Prerequisites: Admin account on Linux computer and tablet charged to 80% or higher
1. Download and install Heimdall and Heimdall Frontend from http://glassechidna.com.au/heimdall/
2. Download 51-android.rules and 70-android.rules from Files to Root ***.zip at the bottom of this post. Make sure you use the correct file for your tablet model.
3. Copy the .rules files into /etc/udev/rules.d and set as executable. Reboot computer
4. Copy the ***.pit from Files to Root ***.zip at the bottom of this post to the directory of your choice. Again, make sure you use the correct file for your tablet model.
5. Download SuperSU zip and this TWRP file for P311X or this TWRP file for P3100 (click names for links.) This version of TWRP will be able to flash KitKat and Lollipop ROMs. Decompress the TWRP tar.md5 file to get a recovery.img file and copy the SuperSU zip to your tablet.
6. Enable USB Debugging on your tablet and reboot into download mode (power off then hold in power and volume down)
7. Open Heimdall Frontend (make sure you run as admin) and click utilities then detect device. It should say "Device Detected"
8. Go into the flash section. In pit section, select the previously downloaded p311x.pit file. DO NOT check repartition.
9. In partition files section, click "Add." Select RECOVERY from the dropdown and select the recovery.img that you decompressed from the tar.md5 file.
10. Double check everything to make sure it is correct. Check the "No Reboot" box and click "Start."
11. If everything went well, you should get to 100%. Wait 10 seconds and disconnect the tablet from the computer. Reboot into recovery by holding down power and volume up.
12. Select "Install" and navigate to the SuperSU zip file. Flash the file and then click "Wipe Cache/Dalvik." Once that is done, select "Back" and "Reboot System"
You have now rooted your Tab 2 P31XX! If you have any question or need screenshots for something, feel free to post in the thread.
If I missed anything, please let me know!

Thanks for this. Very well written guide and thought this would be a breeze ..... but .......
I am having an issue and not sure where to start looking. I have a GT-P3100 that I picked up in Thailand and am connecting from a Linux Debian box. Everything goes well until I try to add TWRP from Heimdall (Step 11). It starts through the process and then stops saying ERRORrotocol Intialisation failed. Heimdall is still connected, the device seems to be fine and I can reboot into my system with no issues but obviously can't go any farther since TWRP isn't there. I am using the TWRP that you suggested for the 3100 and have used the steps you suggested for that device.

Did you do the download pit part for the 3100? It might use a different pit file. Also, what version of heimdall and heimdall front-end are you using? Did you run the front-end as root in terminal like this:
Code:
cd path/to/heimdall (CLICK ENTER)
sudo heimdall-frontend (CLICK ENTER)
Also, if you made a 3100 pit file, could you pm me link to download so I can post it here so other people can use it?

I just remembered what was causing that problem for me. After you download pit in Heimdall, disconnect the tab, reboot it, restart Heimdall, and boot back into download mode. Connect the tab to your computer and click on detect device. Put the pit file you downloaded from the tab in the pit space in the flash tab. Add the recovery image and click flash. I forgot in my previous post that after clicking on download pit, you have to reboot back into download mode and restart Heimdall to make it work.
Have a good day,

That makes some sense. When I was trying this before I really didn't grok on what the point was. It actually makes more sense to me that I would need to reset the environment. Anyway, will try and test this out as soon as I can. Thank you for your help and I pm'd that pit file to you.

Sorry for the double post but I was a little giddy at the prospect of finally getting this done. Ran out of a dinner party to test this. Anyway, works a treat. Followed the additional notes to the letter and boom like that we are back and rooted. Many thanks!

Man that was fast, impressive.
This device, on this build has been one of the most stable and useful mods I have ever done. I love this device and the root/etc. have worked so perfectly over the years that I often forget that it is rooted. This is the way it is supposed to be, but often (due to manufacturers, brands who monkey too much, carriers, or whoever) is not. I just want to thank again all who worked so hard on the galaxy tab 2.0 stuff.

[GUIDE] Not quite newbie guide for moving to 5.1.1

In one of the development threads a request was made for a step-by-step for transitioning to a 5.1.1 ROM from an earlier version and an example was given from another device. Well I modified the example to make it apply to the Sprint Note 4.
All files needed are linked at the end of this post. This is my first attempt at a guide, so any suggestions for improvement will be gladly accepted.
Prerequisites:
1 - Latest Samsung-USB-Drivers (1.5.55.0) installed
2 - Odin v3.10.6 installed
3 - Two files either on an extsdcard in the phone or on your PC for sideloading through adb:
UBERWIPE.zip (Only for use if you have an extsdcard), BETA-SuperSU-v2.49.zip
**** - If you do not have an extsdcard you will need adb installed on your PC in order to get the SuperSU
file onto your phone for flashing.
Loading Stock OG5:
1 – Run Odin v3.10.6 as administrator
2 – Load the appropriate tar in the AP slot
--If you are on OB7 Bootloader and wish to keep it load Hybrid_OB7sbl_SPT_N910PVPU4COG5.tar
--For complete OG5 upgrade load N910PVPU4COG5_N910PSPT4COG5_N910PVPU4COG5.tar.md5
3 – Click on the ‘Options’ tab avove the Log window
4 – Uncheck the reboot option in Odin.
5 - Click on the ‘Log’ tab above the Log window
6 – Phone off. Enter download mode by holding down Vol Down, Home and Power to first screen presence
7 – Enter download mode by moving cursor – Vol Up.
8 – Plug phone into PC. Drivers are already installed so look for Connection in Odin.
9 – Start Odin on good battery charge. Don’t touch phone until complete, 5-10min.
10 – Close Odin, disconnect cable from phone, turn phone off and remove battery.
Removing the battery is the only way to turn it off at this point. Not exactly true but that's all you need to know. It's the best way.
Rooting via TWRP touch recovery:
1 – Put battery back in and enter download mode as above.
2 – Run Odin as administrator and load twrp-2.8.7.0-trltespr.img.tar in the AP slot
3 – Click on the ‘Options’ tab avove the Log window
4 – Uncheck the reboot option in Odin.
5 - Click on the ‘Log’ tab above the Log window
6 – Plug in phone to PC and watch for Odin to establish connection
7 – Start Odin. It will be quick.
8 – When done close Odin. Unplug phone, Power Down and remove battery.
9 – Replace battery and enter Recovery Mode by holding Vol Up, Home and Power to first screen presence
10 – Let TWRP load
11 – If you don’t have an extsdcard then navigate to Advanced > ADB Sideload and use adb to transfer BETA-SuperSU-v2.49.zip from your PC to your phone
12 – Navigate back to the main screen the to Install and choose the location of the SuperSU file
13 – After flashing BETA-SuperSU-v2.49.zip choose Wipe Dalvik/Cache option.
14 - When wipe is completed you have two choices:
--Choose reboot in which case you will have a rooted stock system
--Wipe the current system and install a custom ROM (see below)
If you choose to flash a custom ROM:
1 - Wipe the current system
--If you have and extsdcard with UBERWIPE.zip on it all you need to do is install that zip and when the
recovery automatically reboots your phone will be clean and ready for a new ROM
--If you don’t have an extsdcard I recommend the following:
A - Navigate to the Wipe submenu
B - Perfom a factory reset 3 times
C - Choose format data, type yes on the following screen then enter. Do this 3 times
D - Navigate back to the Wipe submenu and choose Advanced. Then choose everything except extsdcard
and execute. Do this 3 times.
(At this point if you don’t have an extsdcard you will need to navigate Advanced > ADB Sideload and tansfer the ROM of your choice from your PC to your phone)
2 - Navigate to Install and choose the location of your ROM file
3 - When the flash has completed choose the Wipe Dalvik/Cache button
(At this point I always flash the Beta-SuperSU file and wipe Dalvik/cache again, but I’m just OCD)
4 - Reboot the phone and LET IT SIT AT LEAST 15 MINUTES before you touch it to set anything up!!!
Here is a list of the files and executables you'll be working with: (Links either lead to thread of the file on XDA or direct download from my person Google Drive account)
Samsung-Usb-Driver-v1.5.55.0.exe
Odin3_v3.10.6.zip (3.10.7 is avaiable now as well)
Either:
HYBRID_OB7sbl_SPT_N910PVPU4COG5.tar
- or -
N910PVPU4COG5_N910PSPT4COG5_N910PVPU4COG5.tar.md5
twrp-2.8.7.0-trltespr.img.tar (unless a newer version has been released)
Sprint_Hybrid-X_3.0_N910PVPU4COG5_Deodexed,zip Or any other custom 5.1.1 ROM
BETA-SuperSU-v2.49.zip
Optional -
UBERWIPE.zip by:millerboy3
MD5_and_SHA_Checksum_Utility.exe (I personally never use it unless I run into serious problems after multiple downloads)
thank you so much worked like a charm
Good job wolf. Even though the rom OP's have the needed info some people get a little overwhelmed by the amount of info so it will be helpful to many to have a step by step. Good job.
Thanks for this thread. However, it did not work for me. Only way I could get to OG5 was by Odin to N910PVPU3BOF5_N910PSPT3BOF5_N910PVPU3BOF5_HOME.tar and taking the OTA to OG5. I was just running stock rooted with the newest TWRP . Followed everything to a T. Maybe today just isn't my day.

I'm curious as well.
Thanks people who have either replied in this thread or messaged me.
The erorrs I was having was with Odin. It would not write at all for either Hybrid_OB7sbl_SPT_N910PVPU4COG5.tar or N910PVPU4COG5_N910PSPT4COG5_N910PVPU4COG5.tar.md5. In fact, Odin would get an error within about 5 seconds of pushing start. Again, the only way to get around it was to Odin back to OF5 and taking the OTA OG5. Once I was on OG5, I was able to flash TWRP in Odin and also install the ROM of my choice with no issues.
For what its worth, tried 3 different revisions of Odin. I used 3.10.6 for TWRP . Seems funny to me I could Odin OF5 but not OG5 . This device is a replacement I got from Assurion about a week after the Note 4's were no longer being sold. It came with OF5 .
Have a good day all!

[GUIDE] Download and install MM on SM-T715

Hi guys, i'm here to share with you the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware for the SM-T715 (wifi and LTE version). It's an italian version of the firmware but it should work with other regions too. Here's the link for the download:
Link: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/70887/T715XXU2BPD6_T715OXA2BPD6_ITV/
Courtesy of Sammobile.
And here's a guide (written by miguimercadob, all credits goes to him) that you can follow also for our tablet.
1->Turn off your tab and boot it into the Download Mode. To do this, turn off your device and then press and hold Volume Down + Home + Power buttons simultaneously for 2-3 seconds. When you see the warning screen with a yellow triangle sign, press the Volume Up/Down key to enter Download/Odin mode.
2->Download the required Odin.zip file and extract the file on your PC. You will get the Odin3_v3.10.7.exe file. Open it as the administrator to get to the Odin window.
3->Connect your Galaxy device to the computer using the USB cable.
4->When you connect the device, the ID: COM port on Odin will turn Blue. You’ll also see“Added!!” message to indicate successful connection. If Odin des not detect your tab, try to reinstall drivers, try another usb cable and another usb port.
5-> Check "AP" box and click on AP. A window will pop up, just go to the folder where you extracted the firmware and select T715XXU2BPD6_T715OXA2BPD6_ITV.tar.md5 file (name may vary according to device model)
6->Now Odin is checking MD5 and will freeze for a minute or so, but don't worry, just let Odin work.
7->Click on the "Options" section and make sure that only the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time boxes are checked. (Do not, in any case, check Re-Partition box).
8->Now, click the Start button on Odin to begin firmware installation.
10->Once you get a PASS! message on Odin, your device will restart. It’s the green signal that indicates a successful installation.
11->Once our device restarts, you can disconect it.
12-> Enjoy Marshmallow on our Tab s2 (First boot will last for some minutes, just be patient! )
That's all! Hope that everyone can update
