I have been on sams mobile today to see what firmware versions there are for my uk wifi version 8010 note 10.1 as us uk users dont seem to be getting any update .. the last being july version
On searching for the gt n8010 which my model is (BTU) the uk version doesnt feature i have taken two pics the first showing the 8000 btu firmware and the seconc showing the regions on the 8010
But if i search on GT N8000 the btu shows up
Is this why uk isnt getting any update ?
Can i flash with odin a 8010 fir ware waa thinking of the german version but i dont want to **** my 10.1 up

I've just checked my UK one too and it definitely reads as GT-8010. I am also a bit frustrated that we in the UK have not had any updates, could really do with the S-note fixes and the annoying keyboard popping up every time the home button is used.
I am not risking flashing it at the moment as am eagerly waiting for the jelly bean update and the tablet is very smooth with regards to performance out of the box.

If you're prepared to install via Odin most of the updates on sammobile have English language and UK settings.

Notification just showed an OTA update was available (36MB), I downloaded and ran the update. Presto! Multi-Window is now officially functional for the GT-N7105 (LTE Version). Hope you guys get your update soon!

The update just got released today so i don't think the file will be available so soon. I haven't rooted cos my stock rom is not available yet, otherwise i would have shared it.

I also got the update notifications. I got root and is using Perseus kernel. I hope I can still got root after update.
Ive had my n7105 or over a week and it came out of the box with multi window

are you sure you have N7105?
I also had multi window on ALIJ, but had no edit button until i updated to ALJ3
I had multi window sice I got it on Monday last week. There was an OTA update when I first turned it on. Mine came from T-mobile UK.

just flashed with mobile odin pro, perfectly ok and with root from everroot
but seems my counter still is 1 and status as custom when check with triangle away

Does the Build Number say anything about where the phone came from?
I bought mine from Mobicity.co.nz who ship from Hong Kong so assume the phone was also built/set for there.
Does this mean I have to wait for Samsung to bring the update for the N7105 to HK or as I am now using it in New Zealand, on a NZ Vodafone network do I need to wait for some sort of NZ update
Think I've attached an image of all settings if this can assist in answering my questions.

You have the Hong Kong version. The build shown is what i had before the update. Just run the update in the phone settings menu and the ota update should show. If it doesn't just connect your phone to kies on your computer and the update can be done there. You don't need to wait for Nz update as your phones firmware is not for that region.

I'm on T-Mob UK with firmware ALIG but I haven't seen any updates?
I've been flashing non T-Mob UK roms and just changing/replacing the csc files
Takes a bit longer with the factory reset after selecting the EVR csc, but I like to play and I'm a bit of a flashoholic anyway lol

Quick udate, was able to make it work again, by downloading us english in keyboard, so now all working for snotes you guys should try it

Not yet, try the uk rom, its already good, no need for full wipe, you can flash phil version when its release in our country . Binary counter wont increase

Have you encountered the "Processing failed" message when you register your device to be able to recieve OTA updates after flashing the rom? I did. I don't really rely on OTA upgrades since i flash roms, but it does bug me a bit knowing that i dont have that option.

Afaik it happens because of csc doesnt match between rom (uk or german or whatever) and our phone's (globe or smart or sun or openline).
I am currently using german rom flashed over philippine rom (globe), and just ignores the warning.. do far no prob for me stabilitywise
Hopefully when official philippine jb rom comes, the csc will match so ota upates can now be enabled..

Yes just flash the UK rom as it is newer then German and most probably the one which is going to come to Asia, I also got sick and tired of waiting for the indian release and installed the uk samsung really are treating as a second world country two months still no release

I think that was a problem with the german rom which was release earlier than the uk, haven't tried it yet

Its is because you have flash rom which is not for your region and hence you get this error, you can either live with it or change the CSC code to the rom you installed the only issue then would be you will get updates for that particular region in future
i am using jb rom of germany no issues so far well except for ota updates. i can always use odin anyway.
I just bought my Note and as I was using the S Note for reading my chemistry ebooks and doodling on them, everytime I exit the app, it took so long before the ebook is saved. Sometimes, my Note won't even respond. Is there something wrong with it? Should I have it replaced?

For us uk locked Tmobile (EE) users they have released XXELL1 4.1.2 on Sam mobile. Downloading now.
After a problem with Kies updating the Rom ( my laptop ) it's was over to Odin 3.07 to do it. Everything is working mainly mobile data, any other Rom thats wasn't TUM caused the Data to break as it's locked to Tmobile (EE).
I haven't rooted it yet as I don't want to get that red triangle to popup. Will I have to change the bootloader for the cure?
My father's S3 is on EE, has the 4.1.2 update been released officially on Kies yet? It's so silly how they have blocked the OTA option on their roms

Yes, if he connects to Kies he will be offered 4.1.2 but after my problems with Kies use Odin to flash it. Goto Samobile to download.
Hi I have a Samsung sg4 UK one on three network I have debranded it so I thought
Using a guide in xda I used generic UK firmware but today when I tried to update phone using kies is said not alllowed firmware not supported by kies
Does this mean I have to use Odin again and find new firmware or do I have to restore back to UK three branded firm ware any help would be great ps phone is not rooted thanks

if you want official update you will have to go back to 3 firmware but if you want to stick to the generic update just flash it via odin once a new version comes out

If you want updates by kies you have to flash an official Rom. There are debranded official roms available on sammobile.
or you are going to use a custom Rom
