I initially rooted with Vega 0x0.. I just recently flashed twrp (0x1) to get on CM11. Being as though it was still buggy, I restored back to stock rooted.
This morning I got an OTA notification about stock 4.4.2.
Is it possible for me to take an OTA being as though I have a custom recovery?

If you're back to original unrooted stock then yes.

Hi, I successfully used ioroot 12 to root my AT&T D80010o. I had it fully stock before taking the OTA and then rooted it while on the 10o update. I am now looking to put TWRP or another custom recovery on it. Has anyone been able to do this from where I'm at so far? (rooted stock D80010o)?
Hallo
I think your version is AT&T

hello all. I have a stock rooted sprint LG G2. I am currently not receiving any OTA updates and I assume it is because I am rooted. I would like to know what my options are to get the stock Kit Kat update. I believe I need to get back to a root state but I cannot seem to find a straight forward method of doing that. I never flashed a rom so I hope I don't need to reflash a stock rom just to re-root.
Just because you are rooted does not mean that ota won't show up, it just takes some time(a couple of days maybe even a week or two)

I havent even received the spark update yet. every time i run the update LS980ZV7_01_TO_ZV8_13, it appears to complete but then the same update prompt comes up again. I've ran this update about 10 times.
Well have you rebooted

If I am on sac's 4.4.2 and I take the OTA update will that take me back to stock and update me to 4.4.3? I'm sure i will lose root and get Knox but that's OK.
Thanks for the help

What OTA there is not a single OTA out past NAE. 4.4.3 is just a rumor right now. And you will have to unroot to take any form of OTA.

Ok so I have all but the most recent update on my phone and its rooted and I have twrp installed as a custom recovery. From what I understand I can not flash the most recent update because its not a full update it just tweeks some things. So to my question is there anyway to flash the stock recovery so I can get the update.

I just updated but didn't lose root. :good:
A coworker with a RAZR HD said he updated I checked his root and it remained as well. Apparently update does not break existing root.
