How to trick playstore to supported resolution? - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I updated to X-Note 10 and kept the DPI that came with the rom, but now, some of my apps have not synced back because of the modded DPI. (i think). One of them is the Call of Duty Ghost app that was supported before i installed X10 and now says that it's not. Another one is Office Mobile 365...Is there any ways to trick the playstore, or a way of officially downloading the apps with my current DPI?

I use romtoolbox lite , to change the dpi to 480 , and change it again after that.

[Q] Screen size change nightly 177->7.1 stable.

I need some help, hopefully someone else has encountered this.
I have updated from nightly 177 to 7.1 stable, and my home screen is all buggered up.
Here is the first screenshot, on nightly 177.
Everything is nicely ordered.

On 7.1 everything has shifted, i cant put things back, (forgive the photo, screenshots no longer work on 7.1)
Ive tried putting the DPI back to 161, that makes no difference. I also changed the number of columns in ADW EX, this appears to fix it at first, but again thigns dont fit together as they originally did.
Any ideas?
Scratch that, the LCD density app wasnt changing the settings.
I did get this to work, even if screenshots can no longer be taken.
I'm running 7.1 and just took a screenshot a few seconds ago.
Work perfectly fine.

LCD Resolution works much better than LCD Density.

[Q] How to change system wide dpi?

I was thinking about changing my system wide dpi. Can anyone advise how to do that? What are the commonly used settings?
Thx!

Assuming you are rooted you will want to use an app that will allow you to edit text files. There are several but I use root explorer to do so. The go to your phone folders and look for the build.prop text file. Look in there for something like lcd density. Should have value around 480 I believe. I use 320 for reference. Keep in mind that this may mess up how some programs look. For example the gallery will run off the screen to the right unless you go and change the settings using xposed. Change gallery to 360 and it will look just fine.
Hope this helps.
Here is what 320 looks like.

hang system is not cause of changing screen dpi , may be you not change build.prop properly make sure build.prop has rw-r-r- permission
i found an app for you.. > https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.texdroider.texdroider_dpi&hl=en

You're going to get very little help unless you specify what version of Android you're running, Are you running stock or custom ROM? Did you freeze the "bloatware" or did you uninstall it? What do you mean by personal messages on your lock screen, do you mean text messages?
Its a stock rom : KOT49H.I9515XXU1ANI3
4.4.2

Personal message means in replace of Life Companion in which you get with new phone
So when phone is locked I am missing the message and clock
As I think I deleted the apk by mistake

Well first of all you're in the wrong device thread, this is the Sprint S4. The easiest solution would be to reflash the ROM.

SafetyNet failing

So I went to setup Android Pay and got this message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I wiped Android Pay's app data and same results. So I ran a SafetyNet test and it failed.
I'm obviously not rooted or bootloader unlocked. I remember it working before. Any ideas why it won't? Anybody else on G935TUVU2APC have this issue? I'm hoping I don't have to wipe my device via Odin and start over...
EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED. APPARENTLY USING THE CONDENSED DPI OPTION BREAKS IT. SWITCHING BACK TO STANDARD VIEW FIXES IT.

Did you happen to change your dpi?
Just through the Samsung hidden settings. Could that be it?

Wow, thanks, that was it. Lmao sucks but I guess if I use Android Pay I'll revert to the standard DPI. Good to know.
