OK. I'm not an expert on this subject but here is a choke things you could try.
Go to*System settings > Call*and try turning*Voice enhancement*on or off to see if it makes a difference. You can also try*System settings > Call > Privacy keeper*and disable it to see if there’s an improvement.

Check this out. It's happened to me a few times and a restart usually fixes it but it's getting kind of annoying.
I'm running stock everything but I'm rooted. Any permanent fix?
I can use data but I can't make calls when this happens.

There is a permanent fix. Change provider. I was on wind and had same problems. Switched to Fido and problems are gone.

Seriously? I just switched from Mobilicity. Forcing it to connect by searching for the network and selecting it does bring back full connectivity so can't this problem be fixed?

I'm sure this has been asked before but I am finding nothing about it in my search so I'm asking for help here. I will attach a few screens to show my dilemma. I'm stuck on mobile network state disconnected. I am pretty sure my APN settings are correct. I am rooted and running Slim Bean build 8 as well.

Go to your APN and hit restore to default. Reboot and let it sit for a few minutes. Report back.

im on a gt9500 and tried this, but did not fix it for me. I have the issue while on GSM, WCDMA works fine.
Your phone doesn't come with default apns it is international. It reads the SIM and puts the generic APN settings in. You likely need to manually Input them

I had this problem on my Canadian Telus 9505 S4.. I tried the things in this Thread, and it didn't seem to work. What I ended up doing was downloading an application called "Tweakker" and it automatically detects your APN settings for you to enter manually, I did that, and then rebooted and it seemed to work for me. Hope I Helped somehow.
Well idk what to do really. Tried roam control and wiping dalvik also fix permissions. Plus prl update and profile. Any answers? Was thinking about modems but cant find a page with options like on the gs2.

Make a nandroid. Flash a touch wiz ROM then enter the dialer code for over the air activation. Once the network settings are sorted out restore you nandroid.
Ill try it. Whats the code again?

P.S. for the Android 4.3 + root is not required for this app
try this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koo.lightmanager most of the options work without root

g2 right now is 4.2 so until everyone has access to 4.4 they need root
That's the other one I tried. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Are there any steps you have to follow?

With light flow you have to enable it in accessibility
Sent from my LG-D800 using xda app-developers app
I didn't enable it. Do I have to disable the stock?
Sent from my LG-LS980 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
No you leave that enabled too
Sent from my LG-D800 using xda app-developers app
I have no clue why its not working... Everything is enabled. I click on run test 5,4,3,2,1 and nothing.

After the 1 do you lock the screen
Sent from my LG-D800 using xda app-developers app
You mean lock the screen by pressing the button on the back? After the countdown I press the button on the back of the screen on off. Once I turn the screen back on everything was on the homepage. The light still did not work
