Just bought a 2nd hand G2. Everything seems perfect except when taking photos in low-light situation. I own a G Pro before. With G Pro, the led flash illuminates to assist the focusing. Then will flash again when you take a shot.
But it's different with G2. It doesn't illuminate to give light upon focusing??? Is this how the Camera of G2 behaves? I've even had the flash forced, but it still doesnt lights up when cam is focusing.
Want to hear from you guys. Thanks

When taking pictures in a dark environment, the camera flash on my EVO darn near blinds whoever I'm taking pictures of, resulting in a bunch of "I just smelled sh*t" faces. Anybody have any idea on how to maybe dim the flash without turning it off altogether?
I would really like to see an answert to this...and also to an issue with the flash that I have experienced. It seems that, with no consistency or reason that I can discern, the flash goes "blue" and results in a picture with an overall blue tint. Any ideas?
most LED flashes do it, i just deal with it
I think a better idea is to have the flash on at a low level so your subject knows where to look, and then the moment you click the flash goes 100%. My old touch pro did that but I don't know why EVO will not?
The light meter on this phone is slow, and it takes a while for the exposure to adjust to the very bright LED lighting. I Also think the WB is off on a lot of pictures as well. Lets hope HTC and Sprint fixes this because the camera and camcorder could be a LOT better than they are.
it would be nice if we could turn off one of the leds as an option which would help with close nite time pictures
This video shows just how bad the camera bug on the 1st gen Moto X is.
These lines start appearing, on both front and back sensors, during incandescent lighting.
Hope this gets fixed soon in Lollipop.
I've never noticed any pulses in lighting from my phone camera, but it is noticeable on any other digital camera I have ever used on TVs and fluorescent lighting.
Not here!

Nothing happens on my Moto X! I use it to record screens all the time too! May be its just physical phenomenon?
Not really a bug. You can see similar lines like that in fluorescent lights without a camera (naked eye).
It would be a bug if it did this for all lights, not just when you hold the camera a few inches away.

Agreed. This video is inaccurate. Thanks a lot!
But, I've noticed these lines way more in my Moto X than my dad's moto g, or iphone 4
Happens to me too! not just when I'm close to the light but when I point ANYWHERE in the room with that lighting :|
Hi, there. I bought a used LG G2 (F320L) running LG's own Lollipop ROM. I've used it for a few days and it was working pretty good but I found this bug where the real-time preview of the image in the camera app turns pink when the camera is pointed towards the sun. Is this because overexposure of our cameras lens to direct sunlight causes the lens to act like a magnifier and heat itself up? Because my phone got somewhat hotter than normal.. Any ideas? And should I return this phone or just not point it directly at the sun? Lol. I really love this phone.
So I've put it into manual camera mode, and will adjust the EV setting to -2.0 and it works ok, but other than that little adjustment is there any way for me to take a picture of my reef tank with the blue led's on, and have a semi decent picture come out..?? I have bright yellow, orange, and blue corals that just get washed out in the blue led's when taking a pic and just figured maybe someone here has a better idea for settings and what not..
Thanks!!
Can you post a sample of what you're getting so far?
Might suggest a photographer forum. They could help you more with settings and all. They have sections for cellphone camera.

How goes it with the V20. I was just forced to activate a g3 for a backup and the camera is awful for reef pictures.
My note 4 was awesome and the 2 wasn't bad at all.
V20 is supposed to have a Much better camera. Last good phone with removable battery is why I'm looking at one but if it can't take good Reef pics out of the box I'll be forced to go elsewhere.
Show me what you got!
Hi all. I was wondering if it is user error or maybe a known problem that will require an update. I was snapping pics last night in a poorly lit room for some electronic drums that I am selling and I tried auto mode, wide angle, standard, and manual with all settings on auto and I had to use the pics that I took with my old Nexus 6 becuase the quality of pics from the G6 was soooo poor, really terrible. About the only good results I got were with pop out mode (I may be confused about the name of that mode)
Funny, I was thinking about upgrading my N6 primarily because of the camera but that won't be happening until I figure this out. The G6 is my wifes but I wanted to see how it would perform. The biggest problem was the flash produced an incredible amount of light on the edges or sides of the pics. Really extreme, couldn't be edited out.
Open to suggestions or wondering if this is a known issue.
Thanks
