I installed the XXUAMDN Pre-Rooted rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250824). It works so far.
But i got 2 Problems.
1. I always get an annoying message, that there is a reboot needed because of some write access or sumtin.
2. After reboot the PHone it always turn off my sound. i always have to turn on the sound back.
can anyone help me with my 2 problems ?
thank you.
This won't help you but ROM for GS4 is very alpha at this moment is what I see. Therefore, it's best to use CF-Auto root process on existing stock to avoid any "weirdness".
This issue has been SOLVED
You should Read my tread, it's all in pist #1
For all who want to try this ROM, use any Root Explorer, go to /data/data/com.sec.knox.seandroid and rename it to 000.com.sec.knox.seandroid or whathever you wish.. Same thing applies to com.sec.knox.store
After that, go to /system/app/ and DELETE: KNOXAgent.apk, KNOXAgent.odex, KNOXStore.apk, KNOXStore.odex.
It will keep the annoying messages to the minimum.. (after few hours of testing (MDN), there was NO messages at all!! )

first thing I would say is, do odin to your new firmware, and the out the system, without installing or restore apps, and app data, see if everything is working fine, sometimes by restoring older app data you might run into some problems..

What do you mean with "do odin and the out of the system"?
Use ODIN.. what I mean to say is do the full firmware via ODIN,
And use it like that, a fresh install, see if everything is working well, you should have no problems.
Then see when the lag starts if you are restoring your apps with data.

you didn't answer to my question earlier. Did you do a full wipe ?
by default, any flashing of firmware won't wipe your device. It has been suggested by most ppl here, and other forums website, that if you face any trouble with the new firmware, always do a full wipe. It helps most of the time with most of the funny funny issue.
no i didnt do a wipe as i got it OTA not through odin

are the 2 of you the same person ? LOL
@drashrafsabry : very simple, if you done the OTA already, now try to do full wipe (I assume you are not rooted)
1st of all, you will need to backup your contact (if you keep on your device), you can do by exporting it to sd card, or merge with google/samsung account.
2nd thing you need to backup your sms (if you still need to keep it).
3rd and most important : full wipe from stock recovery, it will delete the entire internal storage. So, if you have any data (photo, movie, songs, etc) which you keep it inside internal storage, you must copy first to your sd card / or your PC / laptop (somewhere else other than internal storage.
Once you finish with all that backup, you may shutdown your device (wait until vibrate to make sure it shutdown completely).
Once it is shutdown, press the 3 combos (vol up + home + power) to go into recovery.
Once inside recovery, choose wipe data, and after finish choose wipe cache.
when it is finish, reboot.
PS : you will need to re setup your initial setup after that.
Good luck.

Odin will fix it.
Flash the stock ronin Odin. All your user data will be (sort of) removed.
A skilled user could still recover your user data' but most people won't even know its there.
You will not need the phone's screen to work at any point in the Odin process.

Odin will wipe the data as well as Kies will.
But neither really removes the data. Both just remove the directory structure which makes it easy to sort the data.
To really remove the data you need to overwrite it with new data. That is much more difficult to do without access to the screen on the phone.
You could do it in recovery with the device mounted via usb to a computer. But you generally need to select that in recovery using the touch screen.
You can also push data to the device to overwrite using adb, but its more difficult.
All in all though...unless you have evidence of your participation in a crime on the phone, don't be so worried about it. It will be okay.

Since Google implemented Trim in Android 4.3, it's impossible (as of yet) to recover deleted data. I tried several guides here on XDA on data recovery and none of them work anymore.
See for example this article.

So basically if you delete a file or format your system, the data is really gone.

It wont ever wipe the external sd card
The internal sd card should depend on the tar file and if it formats that partition or not.
I never really paid attention to it myself because I have never had to flash a full stock restore on my S4 so I have no idea what the standard for S4 firmwares is.
The internal data partition though should be wiped with a full stock firmware in odin every single time.

Well, it's not. Believe me. I used to flash stock rom on S4 number of times and I can confirm that flashing stock rom with Odin DOES NOT WIPE any user data. Your photos and other files stays intact as well as the apss ( you may loose some apps internal data ) until factory reset is performed either from stock recovery or from rom itself.

There's no reason you shouldn't be able to restore if you can get into Download mode, unless either your USB port is messed up or the restore image is corrupted. Check the md5 of the stock restore image you're trying to use, and try a different cord and/or a different USB port on your computer.
Also make sure you're not trying to downgrade to BOD5 or earlier if your bootloader is BOE1 or above, because you can't downgrade.
I can get into download mode, if I flash something else via odin works also it flash the .img it's the bok3 I've done it before, but now nothing work and it's hellllll! I also flashed PB1 that is post on the tread.

Make sure you got installed buisy box and safe strap . Install recovery from ss , go to super su and update and make sure is granting the app . In the safestrap , wipe and just flash the rom then the bok3 firmware ( your choice for rom and firmware , bok3 or pb1 ) . When is done and you see the SS home splash just reboot to download mode ( if not working do it manual ) and odin the og5 bootloader just in case https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347768483. Done , wait 5 minute , if not working reboot recovery manual and wipe data , factory reset and cache. Is this clear enough ?

A reset will resolve just about any issue caused by software. You might be looking at a hardware issue.
Install a system monitor app of some kind to see if any processes are really busy.
It's a long shot, but the only thing that comes to my mind is to remove the microSD card: if that resolves the issue, it means your processor is busy chewing on indexing all the media files on your microSD card and may be getting hung up on a corrupted file. If that does nothing, you might have bad RAM or something.

Thanks, antutu it's fine?
And maybe the SD card as it won't read it fast.. and when I try to access to the SD it maybe freEze or slow down... I'll check it out
Yes, for being slow I'm pretty sure was the SD car as I removed it and it feels more smooth, do you know if there is a way to keep the SD in the phone?

First, try opening the SD card on your computer and searching for files of size "0 kb", (that's zero). If you see any media files that are zero kb, delete them. They are corrupted and are causing your phone's media indexing to get stuck in a loop. Symptoms of this issue are slow performance and the phone running hot from trying to process the file continuously. A battery-use examination or performance monitoring app will reveal "android media process" as the offender.
If this does not resolve the issue, you need to take more extensive action. First, copy everything on the SD card to your computer, then format the SD card using the phone, and then copy the data back to the freshly-formatted SD card. Then double-check it for files with a "0 kb" size.
If the problem persists, a last resort would be getting a new microSD card.
