Second: Is there any drawbacks if I use another countries updates? Any risks that I should be aware?
Thank you for your time.

[Q] What's new in the MKE release

Hi.
Yesterday Samsung released an update to the galaxy s4.
The only countries which I know who have received it are Germany and France (unbranded).
I wanted to ask you guys, who have installed the update, what's new there?
My most important issue for me is whether there is improvement in battery life in this update?

[Q] Does the KitKat 4.4.2 update for the Note 3 SM-N9005 restricted to regions ?

Hi all,
I have the Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005, currenty running android 4.3, and I am waiting eagerly for the KitKat 4.4.2 update, but I'm afraid that because this specific model is not officialy sold im my country (Israel) and I bought it from abroad, that maybe the KitKat update will not reach my phone here in Israel.
Can someone please tell me if the official Samsung KitKat 4.4.2 update for this model (SM-N9005) is not region restricted, e.g. it has nothing to do with regions, and my phone will be updates via kies anyway ?

You Note will update from the Region that it was bought from, via OTA -- So if you got it from say, Germany, you'll receive German OTA update when it rolls out, same for X Y Z country.
I just did this and flashed the mexican CSC and locked my phone. I think if you keep the right CSC you'll be fine
Thanks

Hi there I am from Portugal, so the firmware is 4.3 P600XXUBMJ6 - NOTE 10.1 - 2014 (Wi Fi) SM-P600
So i would like to update to KitKat because of the multi user option (isn't present in 4.3)and to upgrade to KitKat, but i've read a little about the KNOX thing and i'm affraid to do something wrong... I've done it before many time with my Galaxy S2, with odin and custom roms.
If i update to the same firmware from Spain it will trigger the KNOX to 0x1? It is possible also to downgrade to 4.3 or it will be upgraded in the future?
Thanks for your help!
Regards,
Ricardo

US firmware on Canadian device?

Hello,
Wondering if I can update my girlfriends Canadian S5 (SM-G900W8) with the tmobile 5.1.1 firmware, or another country? The 5.0 update is causing quite a few problems on her phone, wondering if I can use another countries firmware because it will be a cold day in hell before Rogers, Bell or Telus sends out another update.
Thanks!
Yes, you can update it with with another country's firmware.
