Hello,
I just changed my sim to Virgin mobile UK last week and had a load of hassle trying to set up mobile web and picture messeging because they dont have the galaxy note 3 settings there. I managed to eventually get everything working fine but now that i have tried a new rom, i have lost the settings again.
I dont want to be phoning up virgin everytime i try out a new rom.
Does anybody have the correct setting to set this phone up with Virgin UK?
Thanks for any help.
EDIT: Found them - http://virgin.tmtx.co.uk/faqs/item/...how_do_i_manually_enter_mobile_internet_and_2

Hey guys,
Needing help here. Sister has one of these on TIM (she lives in Italy). When she was over in UK I was tinkering about and using mobile internet (non-wifi). The problem is though that when she has pt her own sim back in it has stayed on and now she has ran up a €400 phone bill due to her being constantly online. As I don't have the phone in front and my own phone runs windows mobile I haven't got a clue how to get her to permanently disconnect it.
Can anyone tell me how so I can phone her with the instructions?
Many thanks in advance

You can use an app such as APNDroid to enable/disable the APN she has configured. Or, she can use Wisync (or Wisync plus) to do the same.
Or she can go to Settings/WirelessControls/MobileNetworks and append "xxx" to the name of the APN that is active.
Thanks...Will call her just now
Hi guys,
got my N1 this morning and been playing with it all day. Then i figured to test the mobile internet vs wifi. Thing is i cannot get anything to work over mobile internet? its just not loading/connecting as i recieved connection errors. Im on orange and got unlimited data usage plan. I've tried restarting the phone, restarted the service provider search and selected orange again but still no luck.
Any ideas how to get this working please?
You will probably need the settings from your provider and add a new apn check with orange for settings
go to menu settings
wireless controlls
mobile networks
access point names
menu select new apn
Name: Orange UK
APN: orangeinternet
rest of fields other then mnc and so forth at the bottom can be left the way they are blank. Should work if you have internet thru your provider
Thanks!! called up Orange directly and the lady was suprised i had a Nexus one. The phone call turned into a kind of review then she told me that she's prob the first person at orange to deal with a N1 user and she needed to check. After 2 mins she came back to say the system doesnt recognise my device.... and she cannot therefore send me any settings.
I've tried though m9 what you've given me and looked up further and managed to get it working like a charm. 3G's pumping away atm!! thanks mate you helped loads! appreciate it

I called Orange last week with exactly the same problem lol... they didnt have nexus one on the system, but the settings are exactly the same for HTC Hero so they just gave me those settings over the phone and worked.
If you go to the Orange website and look in the FAQ/Help section, you will find an entry about how to set up WAP and MMS - If you select the HTC Hero, the menu structure and entries are the same and worked for me on my Nexus One.
Hi,
I entered correct APN (t-mobile croatia) and when trying to view some web page, phone redirects to tmobile error page where it says that I have wrong APN settings. I checked with their customer service and settings are all correct.
After couple(!!!) of toggling mobile data (in settings) starts working properly, but after some time (after phone restart), everything returns back to errors
Sometimes, instead of tmobile error page, i get internet explorer's wrong dns error message.
Tmobile customer service said they can't help me because phone was not bought in tmobile (but its unlocked).
Any ideas?
Is there some code for diagnostics where I could see detailed mobile data settings? I saw similar codes for HTC devices, but none for Omnia...
EDIT:
phone was bought at other provider (VIP) but it was not locked. Still, phone has some provider specific stuff (bookmarks). Is it maybe possible that it also has some provider stuff that enforces its original APN?
Thanks in advance!
The Samsung Network settings app should sort your problem....Marketplace, Samsung Zone or serch the forum for an XAP version.
Sent from my Omnia with only 8GB using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Thanks, this helped me get MMS working on a T-Mobile branded Omnia 7 in Sweden with Telia.
I bought a Samsung Omnia i900v (Vodafone-branded) (WM6.1) and I want to use the internet with a Three (H3G) Sim. For some reason, I see the 3G icon when I put my sim in, and when I try to open Google or any website, it keeps says 'Locating' and never connects to the network. I already added a new modem connection for 3, with three.co.uk as the APN and nothing else set.
Are there any settings CAB files like there used to be in the WinMo days? It's been years since I've done this. There must be at least one person out there who knows how to get a WM6.1 phone working on 3?
Would it help to flash a WM6.5 ROM to the phone instead?
