I am searching for this error but it seems that I am the only one that have this error.
After reboot my time and date are wrong. It goes to 01.01.2013 and time 1:00. If i am on StockRom this Error is gone. After I flash recovery and a Custom Rom the time and date is wrong.
Now I am on EchoeRom v9 and philz_touch_6.13.0-hltexx.
On my LG G2 I had the same Error but some has fixed it.
Got this too on carbon rom. Setting the date and time to automatically using network provider time seems to fix it.

Yes but it take some time after boot that the time is corrected. Before this happens WhatApp keep showing up the time/date Error.
I am getting this same exact problem. Also, even after I change the setting to "Automatic date & time" occaisionally my date and time will change back and forth to the incorrect date and time. To stop this from happening I disabled "Automatic date & time" but then every time I reboot it changes to to wrong date and time again. It's like it is not being saved between boots for some reason.

Hello XDA.
I'm using Cyanogenmod 7.0.3 for almost a month now, and I upgraded my radio to 7.13.35.05 to fix my GPS issues. The phone worked fine for a full month, until now. Suddenly I'm greeted with the message "com.android.phone has stopped working, please try again." every 5 seconds. The phone app itself works fine, but I seem to have no service. I have a shortcut to the page "Phone info" where I noticed something weird. The button "Turn off radio" has changed into "Turn on radio" and the network mode is "(unknown)". Rebooting didn't fix anything, neither did pulling the battery out and booting like that.
What could I do ? I'm considering a full factory reset but I'll need to back up my contacts and messages first... which is going to take a long while with the error popping up every 5 seconds !
Edit1: Flashing radio 7.08.35.21 right now... Maybe this fixes the issues
Edit2: Flashing the radio didn't help. Now I'm going to flash 7.0.3 over the current one, hoping it would fix something without losing my data... I do have a nandroid backup left, but it's very old...
Edit3: Is this forum dead or something ?
Edit4: Factory Reset did the trick. This topic can be closed.
Recently i noticed wrong time after restart and the device didn't update it unless it's connected to Wi-Fi. I did some research and found that the device connects to ntp servers via udp 123 port. And most common issues is provider limitations on this port. Asked in provider's support forum and result is that is set some limitations and probably will experience issues with it. So for know solution is to find why my gt-i9505 forgets time after every restart? I own and HTC Desire Z (Vision/G2) as work phone without data plan but it keeps time correct. Both running CM11 (4.4.2 on DZ, and 4.4.4 on S4). Tried to uncheck "Automatic date & time" but isn't helping. Any ideas?

Any1?
Seriously, no one?
Just a guess - kernel or hardware issue. Maybe it is worth to flash newer or different kernel.
Here is some thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1881827

I'm using CM11 and they releases new update almost everyday, so different kernel will no last long (i presume flashing roms updates kernel too?)
And also the time after reboot is set on random basis from 1970 to... pick a year from this century. I guess to ask in cm's forums is the best thing to do next...
Have you tried factory reset after problem occurred. I have searched in Google and there are lot of phones experiencing the same problem.
One says it is CWM problem (?strange), some do a factory reset, some re-flash firmware... So, start with most acceptable to you.

Yes, this was first i did. (with stock rom had no issues). Yes i'm using CWM, what is next best choise (till madmaxx82 release 4ext recovery for jflte)? On My phone CWM acting weird, for example backups are created in /data/media/clockworkmod/backup instead of /sdcard or /sdcard1
EDIT: TWRP flashing in't solve issue, even when set appropriate time zone
Can someone please suggest a ROM that won't give me the WhatsApp time error? FIVE roms I have tried all suffer from this "issue". I know it's a 'known bug" but why? It's it really so hard to fix a time issue?
My clock even resets itself throughout the day.
What should I look out for so not to get this issue again?
Thanks.
Stock?
WhatsApp works fine this end, on stock latest Lollipop
I don't want just 'stock' though. I want a rom that's got features and has been debloated. I'd I wanted stock I wouldn't have rooted my phone.
the problem isn't your rom
there's something wrong with the time_daemon
on a rooted device, turn auto sync time to provider setting off
make a copy of time_daemon from system/bin
reboot your device and set the correct time
then delete time_daemon and reboot
you will have to reboot a couple of times
turn auto sync on again, reboot once more, put time_daemon back in system/bin and reboot one last time
should be fixed now
at least - it worked for me

Good day, This is my first time ever posting a thread on this site and new to custom ROMs on Android devices. I currently have Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile) and a friend suggest I flash it with some custom ROMs. I did, indeed, tried all the compatible ROMs for this phone and they all boot up find (despite the long hang time after finishing the boot setup), but I ran into some problems after doing everything, step-by-step, correctly. I've done light research on how to fix these issues but was afraid if my phone may brick again and do another Emergency Recovery using Samsung Smart Switch. To get to the point, the following issues that are occurring are these below,
- WiFi continuously says "Wifi turning on" and never stops
- Settings will sometimes crash when entering "Security" and then backing out of it
- Camera quality remains blur and can't find any settings to get the camera to focus properly
- LTE/Mobile Data does not apply on boot (when restarting or turning it on) and it requires to fully reboot again
- Uninstalling a application forces the phone to do a soft reboot
- Sometimes multiple background apps will pop-up a error message stating, "Unfortunately, (App) has stopped"
I currently have the Resurrection Remix v5.7.1 (which is the latest I've found) build on the phone, but at the moment using Stock Marshmallow as I'm witting this. If there is anyone on the forums that can help me resolve these issue so i can have a stable flashed ROM, I would greatly appreciated the help. Thanks for your time and have a bless day.

Did you have all of these issues on every ROM that you flashed or just a specific ROM?

Hello,
Recently I discovered a strange problem on my XT1572 that the date & time settings are always restored after reboots , while Automatic date & time is off. The time is correct though. Only I can't change it.
ROM version is 6.0.1 stock. Can someone please check it out?
Thanks.
