please use trickster mod to change kernel settings.
(other kernel tuning apps may cause rrs and they do not allow you to use all of the features)

Don't forget to click "kernel Settings" under "Set on boot" by clicking the little toggle icon at the top. Otherwise settings will not persist for next boot!!

You want to test this ROM out for me @iDynamics? I dont know what gapps are compatible with 100MB cache. the art-compatible ones I provided or the art-compatible lite gapps.

The fix overlays script is still in init.d and is no longer required. You will need to remove it this build.

you'll have to select 3G in mobile network type to get phone to connect. . LTE isn't selectable for now, might need titanic_fanatic's help for that. But you can select it via dial *#*#4636#*#* and click phone information and you can choose LTE/CDMA there.
ART does work too.

I don't use LTE anyway, so that's alright does that mean it will connect to wifi on a clean flash? It's always annoying to burn through ~15mb of data on a limited plan before it finishes so wifi can connect

:good: Wifi works buddy! Yeah I am not the least bit bothered by not having LTE, I dont find it much faster, just to have my battery drain quicker, and not to mention not always being near LTE anyway.

If you get any screen glitching, its caused by HALO I guess. So I understand if you disable it, that fixes it. I'm following the Skyrocket thread for this rom, but thats about all we can do. Its not our place to ask questions; we'll do our best together here.

Just let me know what gapps package ended up working, I'd install the rom, make a nandroid of that too. THEN install the gapps that comes with the rom. if that works, stop there. If it doesnt, restore, try lite gapps. Thanks.
I just thought of something, if its a fresh rom, a nandroid really isn't necessary lol

This should be configurable through the overlay used to build the rom. I can't remember which one or what the config name is though. Give me a little but and I'll track that down for you since I don't think I've committed it to my repo yet.

Rom feels very smooth. One issue though, the text on the tiles within the notification pulldown is out of alignment.

Then delete all of the config options except for config_enable_lte and change the value to true, then rebuild and you should have lte.

Please read before posting any questions!
Q: What the difference between this version and the one on miuiandroid.com/miui.us?
A: This version includes ad-blocking, TELUS code fix, Juwe11's ram script, Kenia1234's 3D fix, and TelocationProvider.apk has been removed.
Q: My phone can't detect my external sd card?
A: Look in your sd card for a folder called, external_sd. If it is not there, create one, and then reboot.
If it is still not being detected after making the folder, go into the MIUI Gallery, hit the menu button, select "rescan sd card".
Note: You cannot use 32gb sd cards with MIUI.
Q: I don't have root?
A: Go into the Superuser app. Hit your menu button, select Settings. Turn on ROOT permission.
Q: I'm getting force closes?
A: Try these options in order:
- Reboot into Recovery. Select Advance Options and then Fix Permission.
- Download Android Terminal Emulator. Open it up and type su, hit enter, and then select Allow for SuperUser Permission. Next type df datadata and hit enter. If you are around 80-90%, download DiskUsage and see which apps take up the most /datadata space. Either uninstall the apps or move to your sd card.
- Reboot into Recovery; select wipe data/factory reset.
Q: I can't send mms?
A: Go into Settings, System, and then Mobile Network Settings. Click, Access Point Names, and select your provider. Go down to MMSC and make sure the address is correct.
ROGERS: There is a typo in the MMSC address. You need to change "gpsr" to "gprs".
Q: Why do I keep getting radio dump files on my sd card?
A: It happens when the modem crashes; you can delete them. If you get several of them, it is recommended that you flash a new modem.
Q: Why is battery life so bad compared to other roms?
A: Currently the rom is not optimized for our phone. Once the gingerbread source code is released, battery issue will be fixed.
Q: I applied a theme, but it didn't change everything?
A: The theme hasn't been updated to the latest version of MIUI.
Q: When I go into sms app and select the 'contacts' tab, my contacts don't show up?
A: Hit menu, select Settings. Click Advanced Settings and turn off, Filter Numbers.
Q: Can I use a Samsung App from another rom?
A: No, there is no twframework because this is not a Samsung rom.
Q: Why is my camera showing black?
A: While in the camera application, lock & unlock the screen.
Q: When I go into Settings, it force closes on me?
A: Use another theme.
Q: My wifi doesn't work?
A: Reflash the kernel.
Q: When I get a call or call someone, my screen turns black!
A: Hit the power button.
Q: I can't download anything from the browser/market/etc.?
A: Try these options in order:
- Exit the app and try downloading again.
- Go into the Downloads app on your phone and select/unselect Download only using WLAN.
Q: I am using a kernel that allows for under volting, but I can't get the sliders to move in voltage app.
A. Known issue, with persistence they will move.
Q: How would I go about flashing another rom?
A: You must go back to stock before flashing another rom.
Q: Can I use a different kernel?
A: Yes, you can use any Captivate CM7/MIUI kernel.
Q: How do I install Swype?
A: Download the Swype Installer from here. Follow the instructions all the way until you get to the end, do not click finish. Reboot the phone and swype will now work.

This is the converted version with correct lib sensors and Captivate kernel. I was making one from scratch but it didn't seem to work.

Does it support RTL languages (Hebrew and Arabic) ?

This was converted to only English. Check out MIUI Android to see if someone is making those language packs.

Seems as if the dev (galnet) will is uploading a version B to correct issues in the original RC8. Should we wait for that one?

I think the only thing that might apply to us is the 3D fix and ram fix. The startup, language, and keyboard fixes don't apply to us.
The two that might apply to us can be put on hold until RC8b.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

The devs are working hard and have pumped out the last updates quickly, and its still in alpha so more is still to come

Go through the settings, I had them enabled when I tested this earlier, make sure you enable tablet mode and click navbar controls or w/e
btw this is running extremely smooth, like smoother than any other JB build I have flashed.

Keeping an eye on this one, just got stable with v9 but I will weaken eventually. Great job devs!

I'm liking the couple of new interface modes. So far, haven't really had any problems. Previous jellybean ports have had notification issues, sound bugs, music not playing, etc.. but this is working fine aside from a little bit of lag once in a while.

2. Lidroid Notification toggle port. you can Access the relevant settings by long pressing the icon @ notification toogle. (for Eg - press the wifi toggle for sometime, and you will go to the wifi settings @settings ). Also has access to Quickpanel Settings for customizing them.
3. better, richer Graphics. Newer framework and Statusbar. the Look of the whole ROM is more "Mature" than v!, which was a flurry one.
4. SGS 3 inspired Music player.

1. Flashing this will yeild deeper Bass and clearer lows. But please note, apart from the Stock Equalizers, Flashing this will yeild FC's on play store equaliers or music apps from the play store having Equalizer settings.
HOW TO FLASH:
- Reboot recovery
- Wipe cache
- Flash the zip
- reboot.
- open the Dolby and grant Superuser permission.
- for added effect, select the Equalizer to Rock and the Sound Effect to "Bass Enhancement".
- ignore the manifest error for AdActivity. It's nothing related to the performance.

I just downloaded a boot animation from some site,renamed the downloaded bootanimation.zip to sanim.zip and placed it in system/media/ on my phone...

it is because the stock touchwiz task manager is removed. u can get it as you want by pushing the app from stock ROM to /system/app.
then delete off the "simple task manager" from /system/app because it will be rudimentary.

Lg camera ported
ok, so after untold miseries, i finally managed to find it again
behold, the working LG Stock camera for GT I9070 by amcee
although, there ARE glitches, but i'll STILL share it in my next build just because of the number of options we get.
take a look at the screens attached.
the shot mode is awesome, like out-of focusing shot, art shot, beauty shot, panaroma, stitch shot, smile shot, continuous shot, etc.

Before you go any further, 4.2 still has a quite a few bugs that need to be resolved by Google.
Please make sure you have backups for anything you don't want to lose.
Google apps are not official, this is a community hack, pa team has tested all apps but you could still encounter issues.
Do not ask about CyanogenMod features. PA team will add more features in version 3.x, when they have a 100% stable base.

Make sure you have or update your recovery to the latest version. Pre 4.2 recoveries can mess up your sd card/storage. TWRP is recommend.
Class 6 sd-card is highly recommended if your having issues on 4.2 or flashing 4.2 ( getting status 7, unable to mount sd-card, etc) this is prolly the cause of it.

Enter your Google account info, press home when you encounter the black screen
After the quirky bootup is over, the rom should work normally
Do not restore system apps, system data and Google apps. This can cause bootloops and other problems due to mismatches from CM to AOSP and Android version 4.1.2 to 4.2

As you know if you try anything posted, mentioned, suggested or whatever else........... This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.

Go to Settings - Toolbars and tick the box next to PIE Controls
Push and hold the power button then select Expanded Desktop
By default the PIE it's on the bottom (unless you change it after the point #1) the only that you need to do it's swipe from the bottom to the top and the PIE will appear.

No for the moment, unless you switch to Tablet mode and disable the Expanded Desktop, then will be off.
« How can I change the PIE color?
The PIE take the colors of the per app settings so, be sure that you have enabled the per app color on the Hybrid Settings, change some color apps and the PIE will have that one's.

Google has hidden the “Developer Options” section under Settings in Android 4.2. Simply go to settings, scroll down to About Phone, and find the Build Number. When you have located it, simply tap the Build Number location several times and you will notice it count you down to becoming a developer. Repeat the process until it reads, "You are now a developer!” Go back to the main Settings page and you will notice the arrival of "Developer Options" towards the bottom near About Phone/Tablet. Mini Tutorial: Getting the Best out of DashClock
Every once in a while we'll make small tutorials, stuff that only PA can do for you. Today's tutorial is about DashClock, the widget everyone's talking about. As you know, you can use it on your regular homescreen as well, BUT, you have to cope with an elephant of a widget swallowing your homescreen for 1-2 puny rows.
Did you know that hybrid engine can scale widgets, too? No? Well try this ...
Unlock Hybrid engines expert mode for further options
- Settings / Hybrid / Tools / check expert mode
Configure DashClock
- Hybrid / Apps / DashClock / DPI = 200 (or any size you like), check force on the last page / hit APPLY
Restart your launcher
- Either by killing it in Settings / Apps / [yourlauncher] or, the better way, by restarting it offcially (Apex: double tap / settings / restart). That step is needed because your launcher will cache widgets.
What force does is literally forcing hybrid properties through foreign hosts. A launcher for instance will always take its own settings (DPI, UI, etc) to display content, but if force is enabled DPI scaling and UI switching is possible even on the home screen.
Just be careful with the option, use it for widgets and leave it unchecked for everything else unless you know what you are doing, reason why you had to unlock expert mode.

Mini tutorial: set up your games with auto expanded desktop
Nice little video from +Chris Nacca showing you guys how to conveniently drop apps into fullscreen+pie without the hassle of having to deal with powermenus or toggles - your app will do it by itself. Once you go out your bars will pan in again.
Its an experimental feature, hence the expert mode, so use it with care. Should something not work out the way you want simply uncheck the option.
It'll probably make sense for most of your gaming needs and perhaps browsing

Mini tutorial: get the best out of Google Keep
In our last tutorial we learned how to scale DashClock on the homescreen via per app dpi. In this one i'm gonna show you what per app layout does and i'll use the 2 minutes to dispel some myths around that.
As you know, Android apps have the capability to scale and adapt to various screensizes. The genius in that is that an app is pretty much free to react in whatever way it pleases. Now i'm sure some of you have heard of "tablet mode," better forget that quickly, there is none, nor was there ever.
What apps really do is defining various Layout containers with minor or major transformations in them, as many as they want. These usually contain UI layouts, dimensions, images, etc. In theory an app can transform completely when it detects a certain screen-size it has defintions for. That is what you see when you run PA the first time, apps like Gmail or Settings look different.
On PA the layout-container in which an app displays is optional. We read them straight out of your apk's and you get to pick the one that you like best. Since that may blow out of proportion on smaller screens we give you per app DPI as well, which scales the app up and down.
Hybrid is a very special feature, often misunderstood, it allows you to tap into a world of customization that you simply don't get anywhere else. These can be cosmetic changes or drastic, practical things. It also allows you to run tablet-only apps on any device.
Here's how you can transform Googles beautiful Keep app, which, in its highest layout, looks twice as good, even on smaller devices. (if you happen to own a Nexus 7 you absolutely must try this out, it looks so much better)
1. Start keep
2. Open recents, longpress the Keep thumbnail, choose Hybrid. This can not work for newly installed apps since hybrid does not know them yet. A reboot builds hybrids internal cache, when you do that they are ready for quick access. You can also visit the app via Settings/Hybrid/Apps/Keep - that will always work
3. Choose a size, anything you like. Leftmost is small, rightmost is stock.
4. Choose a layout, think of them as actual screensizes.
5. Hit APPLY and LAUNCH, to start the app
You may switch back and forth to adjust your settings until you think its perfect. If you want to have it display as always just hit the RESET button, that applies to all other apps as well of course, think settings, gmail, etc.

Which zip should you choose?
Gapps+Inverts zip is a full and complete gapps package for your JB 4.2+ ROM. Just flash your ROM.zip and then this one. No need to flash any other gapps packages at all.
Quickflash zip is a simple zip that installs all the inverted apps by b-boy into their proper places. This should be flashed after your normal gapps package for JB 4.2+.
Update zips are meant for going from the previous version to the newest version without needing to wipe everything. These are only available for minor updates.

INSTRUCTIONS:
CFB made these zips with all of b-boy's blacked out apps included for easy installation. He tried his best to make certain that all old apps are removed automatically by the zip, but it isn't possible to get all of them. So, please do yourself a favor and install this on a clean flash so it works properly.
The installation instructions are simple: pick the zip you want, flash it in recovery, then reboot. Do not restore data from your old non-inverted apps. Odexed ROMs are not supported. If you run into any problems, wipe everything and try it from a clean install to make sure it isn't one of your apps playing tricks on you.

NOTE: The installation process is the same for any build or rom. On a personal note below is what I did and recently when I came from bare bone stock with no issues. I flashed the cwm4 fixed in odin..closed out and plugged back in...flashed GBBootloaders.....three fingered into recovery.....wiped data and caches...installed aospa & gapps. With these new linaro builds having the cm updater script & google updater.apk and what not in them, BUT if your flashing PA for the fist time you do have to flash gapps but not again after that. Happy flashing!

the blackened one i posted? i am able to switch out the nav keys and status bar icons (batter, signal, etc) in the systemUI.apk but as far as what your talking about im sure in the near future we will have status bar customization. See nottas 4.2.2 test build up? lol

the blackened one i posted? i am able to switch out the nav keys and status bar icons (batter, signal, etc) in the systemUI.apk but as far as what your talking about im sure in the near future we will have status bar customization. See nottas 4.2.2 test build up? lol

in what mode? see if it lets you change the size in phone mode. hmmm i didnt do anything to effect the status bar .. i will see if i can see what the issue is.

On what one? First I herd about it, I didnt do anything different between 2.99 & 3.0 and no issues with those ones. I will look at it. I will put a new one together. all i dont add or remove anything that would cause that enless something happened on uploading it. My computer had a big windows 8 update today, kinda curious now...I know people that are running it with no issues except the status bar ordeal mentioned above. I will repack it and and look everything over. had 3.0 in the test folder since i uploaded it this morning. But thanks for letting me know. sorry for the inconvenience

maybe the pa preference pro is causing issues with it. try uninstalling it at seeing if not i may have another thing to try. But havent had anyone have a status 7....

It will toggle, just only after a status change (level increase/decrease, connect/deconnect charger or usb cable etc.)
3. Why Included Adrenaline Engine?
This script is basicly for me the best for stock roms and works properly.
Mainly for two reasons: I can't support Adrenaline engine, because I don't know what it does and how it does it, so in case of bugs, wouldn't know what to do. Secondly, I see no reason to have it preinstalled as I see it has a real easy way to install (just a zip flash), and so it can be easily installed by the end user.
4. What about apps-on-sdcard type scripts?
I can't support problems they might induce.
There are more options anyway, and each should use his personal favorite. To name just a few:
Mount2SD. Some users reported to have obtained best results with this, gained a lot of free space on the phone's memory, and overall being better than other scripts
Link2SD. This has a real easy method to setup, all you need to do is to partition the SD-Card with an extra partition (many file formats supported) and install the apk. It will take care of the rest by itself.
5. Can you theme the ROM this way or this other way?
Keeping the ROM as much as possible stock is a personal preference, and I don't think I'm going to theme it.
Second, theming doesn't please the larger part of the user base; some like one theme, some like other theme, but I reckon most just like it as it is and just want more features.
though other people may theme it if they want and release a PATCH!.
6. Why didn't u used a ICS or JB or SGS III theme?
This rom i wanted to keep as stock as possible but do include lots of features i only updated the theme and ui to latest low end samsung ui.
7. Where is the QuickLaunch Panel?
When u pull down status bar and press carrier name a new panel with some shortcuts will appear.
8. When a app Force Closes or something doesnt work?
Download the attached 24spacecat file from attachements and flash it with mount system and mount data then reboot and get the same Force Close it will drop 2 files on sdcard Space_dmesg Space_log
give them to me to show the error
9. Battery Performance/Life is poor?
This is because of the 24SpaceCat script inside init.d just remove it and battery will improve a lot
this script is running the whole time and reading/writing to sdcard/memory/loggers
10. TW Launcher app drawer background is white or other color?
u can change the color of app drawer and icon sizes and more to ur likes this all can be found in -> app drawer -> menu press -> right bottom tw settings -> drawer color -> apply settings -> prompt SU Allow -> look
NOTE: Dont base ur ROM or modify my rom without asking permissions ?
Why i do this ?because this rom took tons of time and lots of try and error to build
if some *kanger* bases his rom on this and other users who uses that rom say ahh that rom is so much better then this hahahah . well then u know i will be dissatisfied
because just a * theme on top of the rom will not make it a brand new rom ! so make youre themese or what it is in patches

its based on 3/4 firmwares
though u cant flash other framework/ other mods that are for these firmwares a it would kill the stabilify and functions of the rom

Ok, for those who want to have it now here is a small fix for it !

Open my archive META-INF.rar and extract the META-INF folder anywhere, then replace the one inside rom (u will see after open rom with 7 zip or whatever app u use). Try to flash it now !

@SpaceCaker mate you have done a fabulous job .I was searchin for a stock rom with all thses features and still being so good on battery and everything else ..and your Rom has it all Period ..\
