I am interested in installing the stock clock from my Samsung Galaxy S2 into my new Lg G2.
I believe I acquired the correct .apk file "ClockPackage.apk" from the root folder. However it's a bit confusing to me because there are 2 files with that name. One with a clock icon and one with a android system icon. Neither of which will install with the package installer. I get the error "Parse Error" "There is a problem parsing the package"
I'm a noob at this so please be gentle and clear.
Thanks in advance!

That apk was not compiled to be compatible with whatever version of Android you are on.
Try this

Does that mean it can't be done?
Edit: I posted while you were editing.
Thanks I'll try that. It looks like it might be the ICS though. That won't have briefing content in it I don't think but I'll give it a try.
Thanks!

Good day developers, can you help me, Im using STOCK ROM DXMA1 (deodexed). I want to modify my "TouchWiz30Launcher.apk", instead of 4 icon Column dock, I want to make it 5. I follow this guide somehow, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668984 but it didn't help me. It made my "touchwiz30Launcher.apk" 5 docks but when I put the other application(last time it was 4 and now it turns 5, 4+1=5) on DOCK, the application disappear. Then I tried following this guide again, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500230 although it is for Galaxy Ace, I think it is similar somehow with SGY (note: I only did was, PART II number 1 and 2.)Then the problem in my first try modifying the TouchWiz30Launcher.apk is similar with the second one. Guys if you know, can you help me with this problem or guide me or if there are some similar questions/forum post like this that had been answered, kindly post it? Help me please.

grammar's good and understandable,
what happened when installing?
do you have a logcat?
maybe a cert mismatch
did it force close in anyway?
No FC sir. It just the application icon disappear from the menu and it was irreversible. Thanks anyway, I solved my case. This thread should be close now.

So I put this in apps and set permissions. Doesn't show up after reboot.
Tried to install it, and it won't install. Am I missing something here?

Two questions: 1. Will this work with ATT version? 2. Am I doing something wrong? I d/l, move to app folder and set permissions, but get "app not installed" message when I try to install.

Where does the APK file need to go, do you need to run the APK, and what permissions need to be used??
Thank you
Just wondering does anyone have any more info on this??
Has anyone got this to work on a Verizon Phone ??
Might there need to be a second file to go with this??
Also it is not clear where to put the file and or if people should run the APK once the have it on the phone.
Thank you
It doesnt work like that guys, you cant just install it.It goes along with more than one file ( i think 3..) and there is work to be done possibly from a developer,in order for the phone to recognize it.

I was kind of thinking that we would need more then just the one file.
Maybe someone can chime in on this and figure out what the other files are??
Thank you

This. Works perfectly for Sprint LS980 - not sure about other carriers.
NextRadio only lists compatibility with some Sprint phones. I don't know if OP can somehow sideload it to make it work.
Any way to install the radio APK?
I have an international LG G2 (802), which came with a radio app.
I would like to reinstall it, now that I've install Cyanogenmod.
Can this be done somehow?
Thanks!

I've already tried registering but I were stuck at some point.

i thought you can't install fonts manually on this phone?
is it not for the one that was downloaded from the LG smartworld?

Thanks for replying.
Yes, I know that it is a font. I want to decompile it and study it to create a font apk for my language (Non-English). The ones in LG smartworld for my region are English fonts only, and they didn't help me that much. So, this Korean font might help me to achieve what I want (Creating a font apk to be installed and applied without needing to root the device).
Anyone?
Hello guys, I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 device on which I installed CyanogenMOD from a tutorial I found on the Internet, but everytime I was going through my Setting > About I could see that it showed my device as an N9000 device. So now I was thinking to do a reinstall with the correct hltexx version but when I'm trying to install the cm-11-20140123-NIGHTLY-hltexx.zip It shows me an ERROR: 'This package is for "hltexx" devices; this is a "hlte".
What can I do to fix my phone? I have already formated everything and I'm just waiting for a solution. I searched already on google but I couldn't find anything.
Thank you in advance, I will try to reply instantly check back if you replied. I hope I didn't broke my device.

You need to edit your updater script.
OR
You can try one of the custom CM's we have HERE on XDA, that have all the CM features plus some extra's baked in

common problem !
extract the updater-script from the cm archive. folder = \META-INF\com\google\android
open in texteditor, remove the first line and save the file. (first line is the device check.)
repack the file to the archive.
flash and enjoy !

Thank you A.N.Droid. I can't find the updater-script in META-INF>com>google>android. The only thing I can find there is the: metadata and otacert file, maybe it's because I'm using Linux and I don't have the right Archive Manager.
Should I delete the third line in metadata?

The rom mentioned is banned on xda

No its not - you are downloading the wrong file from dev-host
Click the Download Now button not the Download button
The download button is an advert which is an exe file (obviously exe is not for Android)

I did. Obviously an exe file is not for Android (duh..), in fact I downloaded it with a Windows PC... the exe file is a downloader, and it actually downloaded the right file, which is Multi-Root-Installer_Final.zip, but it came with a virus and a lot of crapware (malware/adware). Then you can call it ADVERT or whatever you want, but you still get a virus and a lot of crap.

Tried all this on a stock Galaxy Y GT-S5360. I've chosen SuperSU, but I got Superuser instead (which I already had from a previous try, failed). Then I tried to unroot, but nothing happened, I still have Superuser installed and phone rooted.

hi... im jhan a want to ask how to flash multi root installer on my galaxy y? thanks so...
im new here..
It looks awesome and the script starts fine but when it goes to actually do something, it does not change anything and says that the operation was successful.
After the reboot not a thing was changed.
I am using a GT-S5360 galaxy y that I had rooted using a keruk package, I then unrooted it to update the firmware and now wanted to reroot it with superSU using your installer.
Shame it does not work.
Any ideas?
