SPH-L720 Got Tmobile to work, but no data - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Hey everyone, so the issue I am having now is I cannot get mobile data to work.
I've done the following:
Downgraded to MDC, Rooted w/ SACS and followed this guide partially http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2530610
Awesome, wifi didnt work though. Someone told me to follow THIS guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2601443 because I had KNOX bootloader, so I basically updated to MK2.
No more SACS or ROOTed system, but Tmobile still works... awesome.
Now data..... I am trying desperately to get this to work but having a **** ton of troubles. I cannot use the *#0011# method at all and the original guide says to use prop editor and add a line, but the thread doesn't explain it well. I am going to google it now but wanted to make a thread to see if anyone else has had this issue.
Please and Thank you -

I got data to work, but its only E
I've done the following:
Name: T-Mobile
APN: fast.t-mobile.com (for LTE devices)
Proxy:
Port:
Username:
Password:
Server:
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS proxy:
MMS port:
MMS protocol: WAP 2.0 <<<< This is greyed out
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
Authentication type:
APN type: default,supl,admin,dun,mms
Anyway to get faster internet??

Sprint phones are not capable of getting T-Mobile LTE. They use different bands. Best is Edge.

Bell Canada MMS

Hi all,
I installed the ARcsoft MMS software on my Titan and now I have the option to send MMS, however I cannot send any. I checked the server settings and they were all blank.
Does anyone know the following for Bell Canada MMS:
Server:
Gateway
Port
Also, do I have to install a new ROM to get it working? I saw dcd has a new ROM with MMS settings for multiple carriers including bell, has anyone from bell tried this?
Thanks a lot for any help in advance.
No answer?
Nobody has any idea?
Bell MMS
I have not tried the Arcsoft MMS with the 3.3.4 rom, but it is my understanding that Bell blocks MMS from the PPV6800(Titan) anyway.
@#$#@$
Crap!!, that sucks. Thanks anyway.

This should probably go in Sapphire General Discussion...
The main idea of this thread is to help portuguese owners of magic's on rooting and flashing rom's... But this can also be done on "Sapphire General Discussion"...
IMHO, this thread is just another thread among many of the FAQ threads. I see no reason for having a specific portuguese TMN/Vodafone thread, since they are all 32A devices. Don't know about the SPL's that come with them... but if they have 0010 or 0006, you guys can't root it or fastboot them!
Anyway, this is just my opinion...

I want to root my phone, but there´s so much much info, and so many ways to brick it, i would prefer to have a specific tutorial for Portuguese phones, that would be reassuring.
Any way i´m glad to see tugas around here

It will be very nice if someone post a way to unlock this phone , that will be VERY nice!
All HTC Magic's are unlocked, at least they should be. Anyway, if yours is locked, you can get an unlock code here:

Well, this update has a few minor fixes... Dont get me wrong, they are still important, but loosing all my data... Hummm... Very annoying!
But its your choice... I will keep my original rom...

It's not that big of a deal really, you can easily do a nandroid backup then do 1 of two things:
- revert back to the previous ROM
- or simply flash the data.img file into the new ROM (it should be perfectly compatible)
This way you don't lose your data at all
Before Rooting my device, I have this question:
TMN and Vodafone HTC Magic devices are exactly the same? I mean, Vodafone's a 193MB RAM and TMN's a 288MB RAM, right? If so, can they be both 32A? :S
I thought that 32A had 288MB and 32B had 192MB, period.
I'm asking this because using System Monitor App on my TMN's Magic (32A), I can only see 192MB RAM... Can this be right?
After knowing exactly how much RAM memory my phone has, I will root it and flash it with an Hero ROM.

OK, so here's what I don't understand...I installed MDJ FroYo HD v.4.4 while outside the US on my European HD2. I had a Costa Rican ICE SIM card installed. The installation went flawlessly. I then simply replaced the ICE SIM with the TMO SIM when I arrived back in the US. Again, it worked flawlessly. I am now considering updating MDJ FroYo HD v.4.4 to version 4.6, but am seeing all sorts of notes about missing APN's. Can someone explain why that happens? Couldn't you simply remove the SIM card and reinstall it to get the settings back?
A second question: With all the settings in the APN, how do you make sure you manually get them all correct?
Thanks in advance.
-Bob-
Here are the only APN settings you have to put in the phone for T-Mobile US
APN:epc.tmobile.com
MMSC:hXXp://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
make sure the MCC is 310 and the MNC is 260
note:replace the hXXP with http in the MMSC field.

You need to contact your network and manually enter the APN details etc in case any are wrong .
Saud product code may block the market .
3 button download recovery fix jig is posted on the front page .

You also may wish to look around for a South African CSC file. Check with your service provider there or check out any South African Android websites and ask for help. Odds are once you slap the right CSC file on there, it will take care of all the connection issues. From what I can tell, the one you have installed now (jpjg9) is almost certainly Saudi specific.
