[ROM][4.4.4] OmniRom Light v2 WITH MULTIWINDOW [FAST AND LIGHTWEIGHT][31/08/14]

OmniLight v2 (with Multiwindow!!!)
Hi guys today I present to you a lightweight version of OmniROM 4.4.4 for our beloved A500. This version of the rom has lots of bloatware removed and is very snappy and fast. So I hope you guys will try out and give your feedback thank you!

Instructions:
1. It is recommended that you use CWM 6.0.4.5 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2583710 to flash this rom.
2. Download SuperSU from http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu/ and put it on your device.
3. Now flash the rom and SuperSU zip and GApps in recovery. (Seems like there is a problem when using gapps on tegra 2 devices. I personally think that the only important thing in gapps is the play store and play store was automatically installed with omnirom and i did not even flash gapps. Can anyone try not flashing gapps and getting back to me if play store is there???)
4. Now format cache and dalvik cache. If you are coming from another rom or another android version please format data.
5. Reboot and profit!

7. To use multiwindow, go to recent apps, long press on app/s, and select it from there.

Home button doesn't seem to work. Can't really do anything it just is a generic launcher.. Too many features on here, can't get into settings to even turn on the wifi. Now I used twrp to flash this so do you think that might be a problem? It seemed to flash okay but would not flash the Su zip..

Thank you for the feedback. I have updated the thread to include GApps. And yeah you have to flash this rom with CWM.

I think it would be wise to note that a KK compatible recovery will flash it properly, others may or may not. After downloading, I'm quite pleased with it. The custom launcher is (in this user's opinion) far better then the default launcher included with KK. This port of Omni doesn't have some of the bugs I've noticed in my other Omni port but this one does seem to have a few minor setup issues.
Issues:
Setup wizard opens to a blank screen and the back arrow must be used to get to the actual setup window.
Name setup in the wizard always leads to a crash unless both fields are empty.
Other then that, I can't see any other bugs off hand. This post was made in this port, BTW. :laugh:

But it would be better if you used CWM 6.0.4.5 which i posted 6 months earlier. And for calendar problems that is because i excluded it from the rom you can download the calendar (there are two apks) from the link i posted and put them into the system/app folder

That seems to be the only issue I have found so far..

Ok installed calendar apk, and the calendar storage..the calendar storage crashes saying calendar not available.. Calendar won't open. When storage is uninstalled the calendar opens fine but still won't sync. Google doesn't seem to sync all the way, shows sync error.

Had to adjust the minimum speed to 312 for the CPU in the performance of options due to the crackling in the audio sounds great now.

Also had issues with the SU zip..didn't want to install, said failed. But it might not been because no used TWRP to flash..I installed another one I had saved on my sd and that worked..just the calendar so far is the only issue affecting me so far..awesome work!! Can't believe this thing is still kicking.

Thank you for all the feedback really appreciate that i will include the calendar in the next version and set the minimum speed to 312

Really nice to see a new rom alternative, good job! And congratulations on publishing the first 4.4.4 rom for the a500! The IconiaHD 4.4.4 build is completed but we have not managed to test it yet.

yes, you can download TWRP manager from playstore..but it never really installed it for me correctly.. i wish it was a flashable zip..same for cwm. seems we have flash them both in a more complex manor, which im not familiar with.

From their post, there's this TWRP v2.6.3.0, then I went to download goomanager on store. I think using the fastboot to flash is simple enough and straight forward for me. I just put the CWM 6.0.5.4 onto my A500 too, but I found the touch interface of TWRP easier to use. I use TWRP on my phone too, so I get used to that. For CWM, you'll have to use the volume to navigate.
I'm still on the stock ROM though, 4.03, and it has freeze problem. In all kind of apps, it'll suddenly stuck and not responding at all. In the TWRP when I select format, there're choices as format cache, I remember someone mentioned some corruption on A500, so I just did clear two cache areas, I'll see how's going.

This rom is dam good & fast,I installed on gooh rom v.11 LK kernel 3.11, updated existing as recommended in aroma.

First i must say big thanks to Maxicet for your work on this rom. It works pretty much flawless on my Tmobile Note 3 in Sweden. Been testing for a couple of hours and every function works......LTE , multiwindow and even foto in S Note Very speedy ! Only FC i got is in Location but the function still works.
I wanted a Note 4 but now i dont know thank you!

I think this is a worth trying rom .. downloading ......

Any bugs found?? Wifi direct, tathering, snote, action memo working?

Have you try wifi direct and Action memo. Already try 3 ROMs.. g00h v10, Rebirth 1.8 and Norma beta 4. All wifi direct and action memo not working.

Action memo is working on goohs rom but you cant change keyboards default language or it will stop working.

The rom boot up but rebooted just as it was about to enter the system. I think it might be the kernel. I dont want to do a dirty flash. In the aroma i chosed upgrade was tha correct? Any ideas?

Action memo works fine from Air Command but Wifi Direct got for closed. Thats on stock Sprint 4.4.4 NH7 kernel.

Dont wipe the internal storage. Do the other wipes then flash rom so Aroma stars and select upgrade rom. The rom comes with Lean Kernel v4 and that works for me but gets a little hot when on screen for some time. I tried this stock sprint 4.4.4 kernel instead from allenjthomsen and it works. I have a tmobile note 3 though im using it internationally in Scandinavia. Best Note 4 port so far. I also flashed Skywalkerz SM-910F launcher so its very speedy

Well you just have to follow the basics.
Reboot phone to Recovery Mode
Wipe Factory settings
Wipe Data Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Then install the zip.
It should be fine after doing that. Let us know.

After updated from 2.44 to 2.48 to 2.54, Gallery is missing

I need your help, after in update ota from v.2.44 to 2.48, Gallery icon is missing then try to v.2.54 , gallery is still missing??
after checked at apps/ default app setting , I found that system default is not set for gallery.
Any idea to recovery Gallery icon?

I did the same updates, but in my case Gallery is still there (Z17, 6+64GB)

I updated OTA, 2.44-> 2.48-> 2.54.
There was always a gallery.

I did all the OTA update (the last one today) 2.39 => 2.44 => 2.48 => 2.54 (the last one) The gallery is always here.
On the stock ROM, you can recover deleted pictures automatically. But they were completely deleted after a delay (one month ?)

Hello, i have flashed the Resurrection Remix Rom. But i need the Stock Gallery App from Nubia Z17. Can i download is or where can i get it. My Problem is, that i have the Stock Camera an in Camera Family i trie an 3D Photo or SlowMotion Video, but the installed Gallery App doesnt show it. Please Help

H2os Custom ROM by Youlinw_v6.0

This is developed by the Chinese developer Youlinw. I have used many custom rom for our device but i am not fully satisfied with the overall performance and feature of the other rom.
So in my opinion this is best rom so far for daily driver based on zui.
Download the rom flash it with TWRP and then install google apps manually.
Use magisk for root as this rom is not pre rooted.

Yes it is fixed and for warm color use third party app such as blue light filter.

One thing I dislike about this rom is the fact that there are only 5 qs tiles. Is there a way to have 6 or 7? Thanks in advance

I just found a bug... While being connected to a bluetooth speaker and you reprocude either a video on youtube or a voice note on Whatsapp (didn't try with songs, etc), the screen turns off, how long? I don't know, I immediately kept pressed the power button so that it could reboot again... Once it rebooted I tried it again and the same... rebooted again and tried again and still the same, after that didn't try again....

no need to use installer, just search mi app store "google" there you will find google installer without any sideloading and legit!

Thanks for trying. Did you do clean flash ? Including wiping the system partition ? Sorry for so many questions, this is my first time flashing a MIUI rom via Twrp

Portrait mode 3/32
Does the Portrait mode for Camera works already ? I dont have it the old Camera from MIUI 9 is still the camera in this version but I suppose this should be different.

yes i did clean install, i recommend clean install, after that magisk.

use magisk camera2api module and use modded gcam.

which gcam ver working with both front n rear potrait mode .

OTA
I see that AI camera is still not supported in this version. Anyways can we recieve OTA updates via the Updater app when new version arrives ?

Installed via twrp.
First boot settings in chinese, I dont even remember, how I managed to switch to English.
Nice new animations, lots of Mi stuff - all in chinese.
New options like AI and Car mode also in chinese.
Lost twrp and root, had to flash twrp via fastboot again, then Magisk.
Android Nougat 7.0
No Google stuff, have to install google from mi store and so on.
Camera doesnt have portrait mode
Tried to uninstall chinese cr.., restarted and ended in bootloop.
If you have lot of time and good nerves, go for it.

i dont think that is possible, the updater checks for update according to your mi account, if you had not applied for alpha rom tester you cant receive ota even on alpha rom

How do you install this?
I wiped: System, Data, Cache and Dalvik
Flashed
Now at boot I only see MI logo, and it's not loading android.
Downloaded 6.5.2 version for my prime.
