I been having weird signal issues with my Sprint LG G2 even with the new OTA enabling spark. The issue is when i go into a roaming area and back out the phone stays stuck in roaming until a reboot or airplane mode. Also i have to do the same to get LTE sometimes from 3G. And another issue if i drop down to 1xRTT i have to do a airplane mode to get back to 3g or lte. Is it the phone or the network? Or the network is not ready for a tri-band yet

I love my phone however I wished it would switch from 3g to LTE faster. I know which parts in my area have Sprint LTE by trial and error. My wife has an iPhone 5s and her phone switches to LTE as soon as she reaches an LTE area, however my LG G2 stays in 3G almost always...Sometimes my phone switches to LTE, but I find myself having to toggle airplane mode off and on to grab the LTE signal most of the time which is turning to be annoying. Perhaps this phone requires a really strong LTE signal or it needs some programming? or maybe the iPhone have a better chip? Is there a way to fix this, thanks in advance
I go from 4g to 3g frequently, even when my phone hasn't moved.
Actual LTE network performance is great at my location, I just can't stay connected constantly.
Toggling air plane mode while on 3g will put me back on LTE.
Is there a setting that I can change to make my phone stay connected to 4g LTE longer when I have a weaker signal?
Or even a way to only use LTE?

I recently upgraded to Baja ROM from rooted JB stock and ever since have had problems switching to 3G from 4G. If I turn my phone on in a 3G area, 3G data works. However, if I travel to a 4G area and the phone connects to 4G, when I return to a 3G area, 3G data no longer works. The notification bar has a grey out 3G (wifi is off). Voice still works. I cannot get data again unless I either go back to a 4G area or reboot my phone. Turning on and off airplane mode doesn't help. Does anyone else have this problem? I have tried various modems, including NC4, NC2 and MJE. They don't seem to make any difference. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks for you help in advance.
P.S. I live in Appalachian mountains where I am constantly roaming on Appalachian Wireless. They did partner up with Verizon to get 4G LTE so I suspect when I am on 4G, I am on Verizon network. I don't know if roaming makes any difference.
Both my daughter and I have had this phone model for several weeks and it is very reluctant to switch from 3g to 4g and especially vica versa. My wife has a verizon samsung note 3 and has no such problems whereas I often need to toggle airplane mode on and off to force the radio to swithch to 4g, Is there any solution to this? Does rolling back the soft wear help? Thanks for any thoughts.
I switched my parents over to Cricket from Verizon today. They both have S5's. I set the network mode to lte/wdcma/gsm but it keeps going from Edge, HSPA, and emergency calls only. So I thought I'd try setting it to WCDMA only well I can't as *#*#4636#*#* does NOT work.
While my LG G2 on cricket and my iPhone 7 on AT&T sit and hold both a steady HSPA or LTE perfectly fine without issue which is the reason I switched them.
Any suggestions? Would setting to global be better? I would assume it would make matters worse.
Both phones are running MM and I haven't really kept up with roms/root/etc for Samsung stuff.
Thanks
