Best method to root i9505

Hi everyone
i am coming from I9300 where i was rooted and with Omega
i will receive my S4 this week and i want to be ready
i have read the forums and apparently there are 2 methos for rooting (and it seams a new update from samsung is blocking root)
i dont know what firmware will i receive on the phone, but i do wish to:
- have root
- have portuguese network TMN 268-06 to have HD voice enabled
- Have CWM installed
- dont have triangle counter
is this possible ? can anyone help me step by step? maybe installing omega is a good idea

Did you not like my answer in your other thread?
Making multiple threads for the same question just clutters up the forum,and makes it harder for you to get a satisfactory answer.

i9505 or i9500

hey guys very simple straight forward question, how can i tell if my s4 is 9500 or 9505? i'm on Rogers in Canada and its SGH-I337M but im flashing roms soon and need to know if its 9505 or 9500. can someone let me know how to tell please?

Use the above link for roms for ur variant
Using roms from i9505 / i9500 thread is possble not all myte brick ur device
And ya some roms from i9505 will work
Nothing from i9500 "dont try also"

You need CF-Autoroot.
Here is the direct download link for CF-Autoroot:

Flash it using Odin (odin is included in this zip file)

[i9500] how to unroot [question]

Hi guys goodnight
Basically the topic said it all how to Unroot samsung s4 i9500.
I wanted to know how so when time comes to sell my Samsung I would know how to Unroot back to stock firmwire.
I have a question
how can I find the right firmwire for my Samsung s4. I live in Grand Cayman (international) and I can't find the firmware for it, Idk why I think it is because they buy the phone for somewhere else. Please can someone help me find the right firmwire.

go to sammobile.com for firmwares,they have every fw released for any phone..
as for unroot,delete busybox,then go to superuser and select unroot,it will do the rest.
don't forget to use triangle away to reset the counter...
And,if u flash official fw over rooted fw,u will loose root,in other words,u won't have to go thru unroot process if u flash official fw.

Search for safariking here on XDA. He has a post for rooting t230nu with vroot and a deodexed stockrom for our tablets
