Galaxy y supports 32 GiB card and class 10.
I am using Sandisk 32GiB Class 10 card and no problem, very fast, reliable and working excellent.
Just remember, if you fill it above 30GiB, then after boot, media scanner takes more time. (Total 7-10 seconds)

Of course. Try the Sandisk MicroSDHC Ultra for Android. I have it's 16GB version and it works perfect with all ROMS, even stock or custom. It is fast, and you can depend ot it. Very stable and cheap of course.

of course, class is not problem. high class of your sdcard can make your device running faster, because your device can scan all media on your scdard with high speed reading.
#sorry for my bad english

Hi all,
Currently I've Samsung 4gb class 6 SD card and I'm now going to buy a 16gb Sandisk Ultra
microSDHC UHS-I class 10 card. Does our SGY supports UHS-I technology?
Here's one of the links to the card: www.amazon.in/gp/aw/d/B007XZL7PC/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1412781317&sr=1-1&pi=SL75

Actually there is no need of a class 10 card in any phone unless it has some 4k video recording capabilities. But even a class 6 card is good enough for recording 4k videos. It is just a waste of money. Only advantage you may have is faster write speeds when coping files from pc. For sgy even class 4 is more of a stretch.

Does Jade support "Sandisk Mobile Ultra 8 GB Class 6"?
or any brand with Class 6?
Yes. I use the Sandisk 8 GB class 6.
How about '"Sandisk Mobile Ultra 16 GB Class 6"? Anyone have try?
i heard it supports up to 16 GB SanDisk,
but i actually i tried the 4 GB one and it is Excellent
The SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDHC 8GB, Class 6 (SDSDQY-8192) does not work with my htc touch 3g (german standard rom).
The Transcend microSDHC 8GB, Class 6 (TS8GUSDHC6) works great.
What does "Mobile Ultra" mean?
It's just a model name or something else?

I think it is a Class 6 model..... as I didn't see Class6 in other series of Sandisk. What do you think?
I mean this model:

u995
I use ultra mobile 8GB class 6 Sandisk. Work perfectly fine.
Best result is actually 4GB or less. This is because the reading speed will be faster with a smaller capacity, esp when accessing MP4 video.
Writing speed will only be useful when u transfer file straight from PC.

I'm going to buy 1 of 8Gb., if u say smaller size will better speed, how about devide it to 2 partition? we'll getting better speed than 1 partition of 8gb. ?
For that, I have no idea how to do that.
I even thought of defrag the content within SD card but was advised by the technical support that it will shorten the lifespan, and speed difference is very small. I did use 1GB card and it is way faster in say kick start a WMA file (about 9MB for one of them) or a mp4 video file at about 15MB.
You may wish to contact Vector Magnetics P/L, technical support on SD card.
Call Tel: 6338 0129 and ask for Rank. He might able to help you on card issue.
Hope the above helps

[Q] What memory cards are you using to run android from?

Hi Guys, I'm currently testing the MattC 1.5 build from a generic 4gb microSD card i had lying around and it works pretty well, but i was thinking of buying an 8gb Sandisk Mobile Ultra card to replace it. I would link to the car but i'm not allowed A quick search on google/ebay should bring up the card i want.
Do you think I would notice an improvement in speed with android running from the card?
kingston 8gb sdhc card Chinese bootleg
If your current card is a class 2 and the 8 gb is a class 4 or higher than yes, tou would notice a difference.

I use Sandisk 16gb sdhc and no problems with running android-of course only proper wm rom.... Not sure which class is the card
my current card is a Class 2 4gb Sandisk, for £17 i might just get the new card and see how it goes. Would you expect an increase in the score on the Quadrant benchmarks?
Sandisk mobile ultra sdhc 4 gb class 6
are these cards definitely class 6 as i have seen various sites saying they are only class 2 but much faster than the class 2 minimums?
I use a Sandisk ultra sdhc 8gb class 6......working great
16gb stock card that came with my tmous hd2, so im guessing its a class2 but everything runs smoothly tho.

8gb A-DATA class 6
Kingstone 4GB SDHC Class 4, working perfectly, but I'm looking for a class 6 card to see the difference in speed
See my signature, working perfectly without lags , I have never seen a SOD.

Hi,
Well, I use since last week a SanDisk 32 microSDhc class 2. Pretty fast in data transfer.
Read somewhere that the class 2 of this 32 GB edition can be compared to class 6 of older micro SD cards.
Had the standard 2gb microSD before, which was sold with the HD2.
Have no issues of speed with SanDisk 32 microSDhc class 2, when it comes to running Android and transfer data.
Recommend it!
generic 16gb class 2
Adata 8g class 6 lighting fast cost $15 running mattc froyo 1.5 fullram
Apacer 16GB SDhc class 4
Working perfectly..
Download SD Card Speed Tester from Market
and test your real speed. Run it three times on each card.
I have Class 2's that are 2's. I have the original 16 gb Class 2 that rates at six and a class 4 Sandisk that rates at a 9. You never know till you test it. Also have a Class 6 that rates at a 9.
8 gig kingstone class 4.
i got a 4 gig class 6 micro sdhc, but i can't notice a difference in speed big enough to compensate the loss of 4 gigs (lots of songs stored).

Just got 1544 in quadrant using class 2 sandisk 8gig

micro sd card

just a general question..
what is better fro my Atrix a Sandisk 4gb class 4 or a Samsung 16gb class 2?
all my songs are in google servers. max 200mb of pics, and never use my phone to store or watch movies.
so help me make a choice
thanks
Me personally, I'd go with the class 4 only because of the faster transfer speed.

Ya if your not going to have much on ther the 4gb class 4 will for sure be the more efficent of the 2 but the 16 gigs is always nice to have. but clas 2 is reall slow in my experience and not work it lol

I have class 4 SD card m running Pda's win7.8 rom. the problem I m facing is its lagging and slow then I did a benchmark test using free benchmark app everything is perfect except the write speed which is just 2.1 something, I know it may be a problem of SD card though wanted to know is there any tweak to speed it up through registry or app like andoirds have?

Kingston 4GB Class 4
Kingston 8GB Class 4
Kingston 32GB Class 4
Microcenter 16GB Class 2
SanDisk 8 GB Class 2
SanDisk 16 GB Class 2
SanDisk 16 GB Class 6
SanDisk 32 GB Class 2
i have SanDisk 32 GB Class 2 and speed is around 8 mb/s
Slower card makes
you wait longer,
gets your cpu hotter,
your battery drain faster,
lags the phone,
slow responses of your phone,
Go buy yourself a class10 SD card!
Believe me, if i knew the diffrence, i would buy it 3 years ago...
Thank-you dxdy and stealth21
will buy new SD and report back

[Q] HELP In choosing the best SD Card for SGY

Guys , i had a question regarding the compatibility of different class 10 cards for our little Sgy....
namely,
Samsung Evo 32/16 GB class 10
Sandisk 32/16 GB class 10
further can our sgy...i know it supports ...but can it 'efficiently' as in give the max. r/w speeds as required of a class 10 card ...although mentioned that a class 10 samsung evo 32 gb gives around 40 Mb/s ...but some reviews stated only 10 - 13 Mb/s given....also will undervolting our Sgy to say -120mV reduce r/w speeds or cause of sd cards of this high class malfunction?
i certainly like the samsung evo class looking at the added features (blah...blah...blah..) ..as compared to the little higher priced sandisk cards but i need you to suggest the best mem. capacity and class stable with sgy also compatible with other cells like Moto E and Nexus
