[Q] USB drivers - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I mistakenly formatted everything on my G2 so I have no OS installed and it just boot loops into TWRP. I'm unable to adb push or adb sideload because windows 8 won't load the correct usb driver. I have installed the android sdk and the google usb drivers. Have also installed the LGUnited 3.1 usb drivers to no avail. Have also disabled the signed drivers checking, . I'm running windows 8.1 x64. any ideas which driver to use?

Nexus 7 (2012) Driver Problems...

Hey Everyone,
Backstory: Softbricked my nexus 7 - its now in a bootloop. I am running Cyanogenmod 10.0 (I believe), Rooted and running ClockworkMod Recovery, and am NOT USB Debugging Enabled. Now in the process of reflashing Nakasi JZO54K (4.1.2) to soft-bricked Nexus 7 via fastboot.
I'm trying to access my nexus 7 (2012) via adb but my computer will not recognize my device. I am currently following Comminus's flashing guide, but I can't even get my computer to recognize my device via the command prompt "adb devices" - nothing comes up.
I have tried to install/update the usb drivers with the ones from Asus's website - those did not update the drivers. I also tried using the drivers i downloaded through the android sdk located in the android sdk folder (C:/user/AppData/Local/Android/android-sdk/extras/google/usb_driver) and those did not successfully update the drivers either. But my device is being recognized in the device manager "grouper" rather than "android".
I might be what in Comminus's words, "driver hell". But I don't know what that means or what to do from there...please help anybody!

[Q] No OS, no device connected, no fastboot/adb

Dear Developers,
I did a dirty install on my nexus 7 (2012 Wifi version). When I realised it, I wiped my internal storage to remove the rom before booting up (to prevent a bootloop).
After this wipe I could not put any file on my tablet. So no OS anymore. I used Wugfresh his tool to put stock android 5.1.1. on it. It bricked my tablet and deleted TWRP. Now I am stuck at this point. I can get into fastboot mode but my pc doesn't recognize it (I have used fastboot that day so I have the right drivers).
Anyone who can give me some tips how to get my tablet in fastboot again?
Uninstall and delete drivers reinstall drivers reboot and connect n7 should load up drivers and work.

Click to collapse
The new drivers will be somewhere on the empty phone?
Or do I have to install others drivers.
And what doe you mean by "N7"?

BP Tools drivers?

since you guys probably already know. I am trying to fix my IMEI number.
I am fixing it by using QPST. but I am required to be booted into BP tools mode.
but Windows tells me the drivers are ''incorrectly'' installed for the ''XT1562'' and the ''ADB Interface'' (Windows XP 32-bit + Service pack 3)
I already have installed motorola USB drivers. and RSD lite. but still my device is ''invisible'' to ADB because the drivers are ''incorrectly'' installed
so are there specific drivers use my phone in BP Tools mode?

Unlocking bootloader on Windows 10 Driver issues Help!

I'm dumbfounded. I have unlocked bootloaders and rooted for years. Just got my OP8P.
I also have a new Microsoft Surface Pro with Windows 10.
I installed ADB, installed Fastboot.
Unlocked developer options and turned on USB Debugging and Developer Unlock.
Windows device manager shows ADB INTERFACE for the my device in device manager.
I can open can open Power Shell and/or the CMD prompt. I've done both.
I can type adb devices in the command prompt and I CAN see my device.
I can reboot it fastboot from the CMD prompt so I KNOW Wndows sees my phone.
BUT ONCE I'M IN FASTBOOT, the problem starts.
Fastboot does NOT see my device. Commands return the words "Waiting for Device..."
I BELIEVE the issue is with the drivers. When I boot into Fastboot, my device location changes in Device Manager from USB>ADB Interface to Portable Devices>Android.
The Android Device icon has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. It's says the driver for this device is not installed. But everything was working fine and the drivers were fine while the device was powered up normally.
If I try to manually install the driver it fails and says "cannot update drivers for your Android".
What heck is going on? What did I do wrong?
I've uninstall and reinstalled the drivers direct from Oneplus. I've uninstall and reinstalled the drivers direct from Google. 'I ve uninstall and reinstalled the drivers direct from Windows.
Why can't device and drivers be recognized in Fastboot. And why can't I update the drivers for the "Android" device?
