In these photos, SP has done better in most cases but in low light One X will perform better :/

I certainly will not judge the capability of both phone cams with these pictures.
The pictures for comparison are focusing at a different places.

From the image posted, i can't see any improvement in the quality of the photo other than the brightness which could be down to the weather. The detail is just as rubbish with the new firmware. Photos with the SP look like they've been taken with one of those cheap tiny spycam's that people attach to their bikes.
My older Xperia S (upgraded firmware) photo quality is much better than the Xperia SP which is a shame because initially i hated the Xperia S photo quality (mainly focus problems though) which is why i was so desperate to upgrade to a new phone. I feel like a muppet thinking Sony would learn the mistakes from the past and yet here they go again, the company that makes the actual hardware and sells it to other phone makers but apparently it has no clue how to refine the software to get the best results while others with Sony's hardware manage to get better results.
There's Xperia™ Z1s Listed On Their Page.
But I Click It & It Direct To Z1...

It's probably a glitch, but to make you happy I'd say they're probably preparing themselves for the Z1 mini global

And the event will be on tomorrow..
Update: They removed the Z1s already...
If they announce a Xperia Z1s I'm returning my Xperia Z1 and getting it
If its just a mini version then no I have no intention on returning it

There's rumors that Z1s and Z1f will be Z1 with 4.3 screen and a bit "smaller" battery.
F for Asian market - that's confirmed and S for Europe and USA

Xperia Z1s
I came from Xperia S to a Xperia Z1, in two days I got used to the bigger screen and size, Two weeks ago I wasn't sure if Z1 would be the right smartphone for me, now I have no doubt, but Z1s seems to be a great option for people with small hands.

Yep, pretty much a downscale version of the Xperia Z1, imo Sony would be the first company to create a real "mini" version of a flagship.
Z1 mini would be great but I prefer the sides of Xperia Z1.

yes
Looks pretty much spot on judging from the leaked photos... well done.
I don't like the front of it very much though... that display looks insignificant in the middle of the bezels and frame. Shame really but hopefully it still sells well.
A mini version almost as powerful as the Flagship itself, that's new

I'll give you 8
Mini that's mean the screen will be smaller but the specs remain the same as Z1, like 3000mha, will be nice. Long Life Z1.
Nice "Render" Ben

It's HAPPENING!
I was reading Android L APIs reference book and found out that Google finally added RAW file support for Android.
This will be a huge plus point for camera-oriented Android smartphones such as Xperia Z1 and Z2!
I hope Sony will bring this in for next update
That's actually a big improvement. Although Sony will have to manually add it in through there camera app

this doesnt mean that sony will implement it. i really doubt they will, but this opens possibilities for 3rd party camera apps and this i am 100% sure someone will do
its now or never sony, we will see the real sensor and lens capabilities now
i doubt sony will ever support it.
as freedcam developer write in his post, sony locked the raw function
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2753946
our z2 have the best sensor, but not the best software/driver.
There's app on Google store called Manual Camera, you can take photo in raw format and much more options but of course it works only on Lollipop.
