in the device list Moto G is supported but the dual sim version isn't listed. so is development possible on this model???

I tried to post this on the Moto G 4G/LTE Stock Firmware (XT1039/40/42/45), but at the moment my profile isn't allowed to post in development section...
I just want to give you more information about the differences between Moto G 4G LTE versions.
First, the firmware image seems to be the one that defines which version is your phone (XT1039 or XT1040, for example), not the hardware.
Second, the firmware 4.4.4 for XT1040 linked in that thread is, in fact, XT1039. I can say that because I bought a XT1040 and burned this firmware and now I have a XT1039 (as CPU-Z for Android and Windows (via USB connection) tell me).
Third, there's a difference in the build for 4.4.4 between XT1039 and XT1040. Also, it seems that the baseband is different: niila_cust for XT1039, and singlela_cust for XT1040. I have no clue about the practical differences between these basebands. I'm saying that because I have a friend that has a XT1040 and upgraded it through 'System updates' to 4.4.4 (you can see the two screenshots comparing both XT1039 and XT1040 using 4.4.4).
Finally, you can see another difference in 'System version' on the About section of Android. On XT1039 it says retbr_eu retbr, and on XT1040 it says retbr amxbr.

Is there a version that is dualsim version and has the sdcard slot?
Oh, strongly prefer the 1st gen Moto G 4G/LTE (just in case a 2nd gen 4G/LTE is out there now unknown to me ) but info about 2nd gen welcome too...
Does anybody have the Moto X Style Single SIM version of Marshmallow? I installed the Indian version but that is dual sim, so I get all the sim options in the settings menu. Also I haven't managed to get 4G working either. Device is XT1572

There is no ota for eu yet. My LTE works just fine...
LTE is working on my device too. It seems that you can delete the dual sim options editing your build.prop

It's hardly possible. There is no dual sim version for usa (pure edition). In "About phone" it might say pure edition but that is just a string stated in build.prop i think...
Well all I know is I managed to flash the dual sim rom from India on my Style, and in the About screen is said it was the Pure Edition

No, you can not. Keep in mind that the version you have is not a dual SIM version. If you flash it, you will probably brick your phone.
Thank you for your answer. But i had unlock the bl and root the phone. And i will not flah the bl and CID. I found the UK moto x play(simple sim) can be used with daul sim cards by flash the dual card rom.

Can confirm my TX1622 moto g4 has 2 sim slots.

Yet my XT1622 (UK - on Talkmobile from mobilephonesdirect.com) has only one SIM slot (+ 1 slot for Micro_SD Memory Card)
My XT1622 has 2 sim slots as well. Box states version:

I expect the DS code on the box identifies it as Dual Sim. (So you can check when you're in the shop)

Or when they want to develop for it, all XT16xx Moto G4's are athene... will be a big unified cm. (when I can get a kernel build and working)
