Modified Ouya Stock ROM 1.2.858-r1 - Ouya General

I made the following modifications to the stock rom:
- Root
- Superuser
- Busybox
- Xposed framework by rovo89
- PlayStore mod by WonderEkin
- Init.d
- Zipaligned
If you want to try it out (at your own risk), you can download it here:
OUYA-1.2.858-r1_mod.zip
MD5: 6c301cf0f7b13aef329931a5ab82ed37

And just as you did, they go and bring out a newer version! Sods law!!

Wow, that hasn't been up to date very long! At least now I know how to do it!

Thanks for this!

You are a lifesaver! I hope you continue to keep doing this as updates come out. (hint hint, there might be another one )

Updated to 1.2.858-r1

Is anyone else having the Ouya OOBE hanging?
UPDATE: I reverted back to your 1.2.853-r1 ROM and no problems.

Everything working fine here, thanks!
I noticed in the Xposed modules, I now have two modules. Can I remove one of them?
* Mod Collection for Ouya [5.1]
* Play Store Mod for Ouya [1.0] (this is new from your ROM)

The Mod Collection contains the Play Store Mod, therefore you don't need both. However, it's not necessary to remove one, as long as you only activate one of them in the modules section of the framework.

I would also be interested to know this.
It might help to wipe user data, cache and dalvik cache when flashing the rom.

[MOD] Modified NfcNci.apk to allow nfc polling while locked

I couldn't find a modified NfcNci.apk specifically for the nexus 5, so I made it myself.
Built with beanstalk ROM but should be compatible with any CM 11 based ROM
To install:
Backup original NfcNci.apk from /system/app and replace with modified apk
Make sure to change permissions to 644

Is this apk working with screen off, or only locked and screen on? Anyone tested this apk on CM?
@ idbl_fanatic: this can't be true, xposed 100% does not work with ART atm, your phone use dalvik instead - you're wrong thinking it runs ART if xposed is working.

Problem here. I have stock 5.0.1 (odexed), and I tried this apk. Now the nfc is not working at all, neither it is shown in the settings menu. Of course I took a backup of the apk, though, after restoring it nothing changed. Any suggestions for at least to have nfc to its original state? Maybe I should change the odex file, too? With what?
Thanks!

Chroma 5.1.x running xposed general discussion

THIS THREAD IS ONLY FOR DISCUSSION OF CHROMA 5.1.X AND XPOSED
I am creating this thread to discuss using Chroma 5.1.x ROM and xposed sdk22. Anything and everything related to being successful using xposed and related modules should be discussed here. Bring your issues and any modules you a running forward amongst us folks who find using and xposed and Chroma 5.1.x ROM beneficial.

Pretty much solved my issue with this link for the original work-around to use Xposed on Chroma 5.1. There's the edit that tells anyone who reads it that the build.prop modifications pre-5/27 build are no longer in place meaning Xposed can be installed/flashed trouble-free now. I did however wipe cache and dalvik per a couple recommendations before and after flashing the Xposed sdk22 zip file. Much appreciate all assistance that's been given!
Xposed working well on Chroma...only issue I call out is Youtube Adaway it is active not blocking ads. Background player for youtube works...but for 5.1.1 on the SuperAlfa still work in progress so not all modules work correctly...

[HINT][ROM] Exodus nightly builds

Recently, when looking for a ROM for my Nexus 7 (2013) I found, that those guys actually also build ROMs for our Z3C. Been using them for several months now and I am very satisfied - very stable ROM.
So here you go:
www.exodus-developers.net/exodus-5.1/z3c/
Xposed users:
Wipe Cache + Dalvik after flashing Xposed. Wipe also after recovering apps with Titanium Backup with already installed Xposed.
Exodus Updater - like in CyanDelta you can add additional zips to be flashed with ROM updates (find it in settings), like custom kernel / Xposed /... (M5 kernel is awesome and works great with Exodus)

Sadly, yes. Didn't find a custom ROM without it yet. Also got it in stock, but the effect is not as strong there. Still no clean pic with Z3C, neither in stock nor in any custom ROM. Anyway a very good ROM.

Well, there is no ROM-thread for Z3C Exodus build... I'm not the creator nor the maintainer of the build, just found it and wanted to share the link, so it's hard for me to say how good the support is, didn't need it yet - everything works fine on my device. Not one single random reboot with Xposed since I use this ROM.
If you need support you probably should watch out on G+ (read pinned post!):

Great ROM, been running it for months, Devs are aggressive on bug fixing.

I'm using it with M5 permissive kernel and Slim Zero Gapps. Try this config, works great for me, no bootloops. You should wipe cache and dalvik directly after flashing Xposed, without doing this you will probably run into a bootloop or get a system starting and constantly rebooting after system is up. Use latest version (v75 arm) of Xposed.

You could easily give it a shot with MultiROM. I'm too lazy to list everything here... ;-P
There are quite a few things. Most important ones for me personally are the customizable clear all button in recents, customizable navigation bar height, double tap to sleep on lockscreen (double tap anywhere) and four tiles per row in quick settings. I also like it to be able to deactivate navigation ring as I never use it and it only gets on my nerves when accidentally swiping over the navigation bar.
It is not this rom version but you can say build after 5th October causing this kind of problem. May be some minor bug with latest builds

No problem with bootloops except one case:
1) Factory Reset
2) Flash ROM
3) Flash M5 (permissive) kernel (for V4A)
4) Flash Xposed v75 arm
5) Wipe cache & dalvik
6) Boot up system
7) Restore many (300+) apps with Titanium Backup
In this case ROM will reboot shortly after TB is closed and a few seconds after system is running and up it will reboot and do this again and again until the battery is empty.
Solution: Boot to recovery, wipe cache & dalvik again. Everything should be fine now, no more bootloops.
This behavior also occurs on CM12.1 nightlies for me so seems to have nothing to do with the ROM itself but rather CM base.

[GUIDE][6/27/17] Magisk V13 + Rom + Passing SafetyNet + Working Modules for Pixel

I am creating this guide for Magisk v13 and working modules. Please let me know if there are additional ROMs that this guide works with, but I am trying to keep the steps as simple as possible.
Magisk Installation Instructions:
Download Latest PureNexus / PA ROM and follow those instructions
Boot into the ROM and go through the initial set up, at this point verify that SafetyNet is passing. If it is not you may need to factory reset and re-install your ROM.
Reboot into TWRP
Flash the attached modified Magisk-v13-Pixel (from Goodwin_c)
Flash the attached verified boot signer (from Chainfire)
Reboot the System
Uninstall the version of Magisk Manager that shows up in the drawer
Install the attached version of MagiskManager_v13_new5.apk (from Goodwin_c)
Open Magisk Manager (you may need to wait a bit, I had to clear it from my recents a few times before it launched and asked for file system permissions)
Go to the app settings and tick on Magisk Hide
Re-run SafetyNet and verify it's passing
Working Modules
I will create a video guide on how to modify modules to work with the Pixel phones until Magisk is fully updated to support Pixel.
Modules I have modified to work with Pixel:
Emoji One - systemlessly replaces emojie font with Emoji One.
Tethering Enabler - enables tethering on phones where it is disabled by the manufacturer/provider.

What rom are you using? The issue I came across that Goodwin confirmed was that root seemed to work, but apps like Titanium Backup didnt work properly. Are you running any apps that require root? And do they seem to perform correctly?
It also looks like he released a v13_new5.apk on his AFH account. Are you still using new1? Just curious if the new5 version might fix any previous issues.

I'll update the post date in brackets when I make updates here. Goodwin_c does not have his own thread, so I've just been monitoring his android file host account. I've included both of those. I basically have been using beyond compare to compare the arise module that works with pixel to other modules and re-zipping them and testing with my device.
I see. Thanks.
Btw do you know the difference between v1 and v5 apk?
It seems MagiskHide is gone on v5?
I have tried Magisk-V13 on Pixel-XL with stock ROM.
I haven't tried it with stock kernel, since SafetyNet won't pass (as far as I understand).
Tested with Elemental-X + MagiskManager-v1, SafetyNet does not pass. App always says "cannot use Play service"
Tested with Kirisakura-Rebase-1.36 + MagiskManager-v1, SafetyNet passes.
MagiskManager-v5 does not come with MagiskHide, so I assume it cannot handle SafetyNet.
Both MagiskManager v1 and v5 loads very slowly.
Before the UI could be used normally (it means Magisk is loaded?), ROOT cannot be obtained.
So those boot-up root-required action would probably fail.
