Hey guys, I need help with finding the links to rooting my RAZR M. I'm on 4.1.2 XT907
Thanks.
Use the search feature of xda.. or Google... in the event you can not find what you are looking for and decide to post please provide as much information as possible... system version is needed to ensure you are directed to the proper method of rooting your device... settings>about phone>system version...

You have to downgrade first, use the guide in dev subforum sticky thread. Then use methods in same sticky thread to root.

It would of been quicker for you to a search and find the answers.
1). You need to downgrade.
2). You need apply ENG S-OFF
3). Apply Radio S-OFF while you have the chance.
4). Upgrade to Gingerbread using the OTA.
5). Root using GingerBreak.
The guides were kindly written by jkoljo, and the ENG & Radio S-OFF tools were also made by jkoljo. Be sure to thank him.
hello, is there any way i can do all this from mac (running os x).

Yes, just follow this guide from the cyanogenmod wiki, it's fairly straight forward and should have you rooted in no time

You need to first figure out what version of boot loader you have, read carefully the stickied thread in the general section...

Moved to Q&A. Please ask all questions there.
PLEASE HELP!
I tried to flash to CM7,9 or CM10...but always fail. Something like " signature failure...etc...."
Installed from SDcard , ZIP file.
What is that failure? How to resolve?
HELP!
Root it first...than flash it....

I have a rooted Droid Razr Maxx.
Voodoo Safestrap and Super UseSU loaded.
Wanted to freeze uneeded prgrams and tweak system to run quicker.
Also using Rom Toolbox to tweak CPU etc.
Loaded Nova launcher afterwards which I am very happy with.
My question is that Verizon is asking me to update my system now. I am assuming this is the scheduled JB update.
Since I rooted I know it is not going to let me update.
I actually tried to unroot once before and was unsuccessful.
I still show 0/1 and it will not let me do it for some reason.
In any case is it even worth it for me to do so?
Is JB going to give me anything that exciting that I would want to update?
If not i will just stay the way I have everything.
If so I will need to follow up to see if anyone can help me get unrooted so I can update.
Thanks in advance for any help.
This is the Razr M forum. You'll want to post this in the Razr Maxx forum. Different phones.
