Hey,
I'm using 4.4 and I want to put 4.4.2. Problem is that I'm rooted and bootloader unlocked. So I need to put a new bootloader in other to get the OTA update but I can't because no matter what I do, I get Error: device not found.
All drivers installed and reinstalled many many times.
Have you tried going into developer options and selecting "revoke USB debugging authorization"? Then plug your device back into the PC ....

Hey,
I don't think that is the case since I have a brand new Win7. The phone was never connected to it. Anyway I tried of course and it didn't work.
I plug it on the PC and it asked for authorization and I give it. Then I disconnected, turned it off and went to fastboot mode. Re-pluged and no detection.
RSD Lite detects but adb no.
Have you tried PTP (camera) mode?
Or this

If you're using 64 bit windows you will need the special drivers, a google search should resolve that
I got the 64 bit drivers which didnt work. Im stumped, dont know why it stopped working in the first place.
Try Turning your phone off then on while still plugged in....If that doesn't work try turning on usb debug then mount
I tried everything to no avail. Decided to try a usb cord that I picked up from staples and it worked. Somehow my stock usb cord decided to stop connecting but it charges fine.
Hi, my phone is rooted, but still on stock rom with twrp recovery. My problem is that whenever I try adb commands or even check devices, it says it offline but when in fastloader and try fastboot devices, my device is seen and communicating well. Why is this so? What did I miss to do?
here is what shows when I try adb devices:

Pls advice what to do.. thanks!
P.S., after unlocking my bootloader and installing twrp, i locked it again. Is this the reason i cant connect via adb or this issue is not related at all?
Thanks!
Do you have the latest adb? With 4.2.2 a security feature was added to allow for white listing computers connected via adb. Older adb versions don't work with this.

ok, will check this thread.. thanks!
Normally whenever I connect the phone to my PC (Windows 10), the normal USB options screen would pop up on the phone, giving me a choice between charging/file transfer etc...
a few weeks ago it stopped doing this, and the same result on my other pc's.
maybe its to do with the big windows 10 update that was rolled out, I don't know.
but anyway - I simply cannot get windows to recognise my phone at all, it just says

I have tried reinstalling windows drivers, tried the toolkit to install the drivers, restarted phone etc, nothing seems to be working.
I don't know what else to do, please can anyone help?

As a newbie/noob, I am attemting getting the Mi A1 rooted. Thanks to this great forum I managed to get the bootloader unlocked, using ADB. After I have unlocked this bootloader the adb/fastboot cannot detect my phone anymore. I did check the USB debugging setting on the phone and after a few times I reinstalled ADB on my notebook. I found a lot of threats, but none to this particular problem. What am I missing?

Probably usefull info:
Xiaomi Mi A1, Android 9
Kernel: 3.18.120...
Notebook: Windows 10
Same.
You can get access to it in recovery mode, which is kinda disgusting because you have to reboot into twrp again again to transfer files. FML. Sad for us.
try it on other pc
try another cable

This is what the device is recognised as even after installing many different qualcomm drivers; I have the correct Msm download tool on my pc too(Phone not detected); im relatively new to this whole process but my understanding of computers is intermediate to say the least, Device with touch installed worked perfectly; shut it down to charge one evening; woke up to it not powering on with the power button but I managed to put the device in EDL mode. I'm not sure what else you guys might wanna know but for sure ask any questions you may need to help me in my recovery; i'm hoping to flash the phone back to stock and already have my desired image installed. TLDR; the poor guy aint being detected and I don't know why because im a noob
Tried multiple USB cables, PC doesn't have a USB 2.0 Port, installed oneplus usb drivers,
