No 6Mbps is not 4G, most likely , its HSPA, I am not sure. Are you sure that you have 4G indicator ? If your indicator is H+ it's not 4G. The Greek 4G network is really bad. 4G= 100Mbps. We are not even close to that.

There is no 4g coverage in my area...

My current record, according to Speedtest's history is 17.49 Mbps down, which was actually 3g/H+ (my carrier's 4g is pretty limited at the moment) - Three UK

My record would be 49mbps download and 42 upload

Yes. I've tested multiple times today. I've also tested it in various parts of the city the last few days. It's always above 10mbps. Most of the time it's above 15.
Edit: More results after mine that's even faster. Nice work T-mobile.
Wow. Mine sucks.

Us Sprint folks are too embarrassed to post on this thread. Unless you want my WiFi speed that is
I got from the low 13Mbps to 28Mbps inside my house. This must be the thing of future for Internet connection... not very consistent at all. At least when I used my Captivate with HSPA+, I consistently got 2Mbps
This is actually a usefull thread I'll be getting my GS3 tomorrow but on my one s get from 8-16 mbps leaving sprint till LTE comes alive and hopefully is good in Las Vegas

you could use the uk xperia z with 3g on att in some places.
the c6606 is supposed to be US version of the xperia z it will have the same radios as xperia zl C6506 (/showthread.php?t=2130466)
So long as you live in areas where att has the 1900 bands available you would be fine with the c6603 right?

Great, let me know which model you end up getting and how that goes. I'm going to get the HSPA+ model and used it in T-Mobile's refarmed network. Have you been using its refarmed network since it launched? I'm just worried about streaming my music from Google Music on my Z and being able to tether it to a Macbook Air.

Best 4G network in London?

I'm stuck between choosing EE or Vodafone for 4G for use with my Samsung Galaxy Note III. All I'm really concerned with is 4G availability (I have checked my post code and both are available there) and 4G speed in London.
With those who understand mobile spectrum and are aware of which 4G spectrum each network bought, which 4G network would you advise for an urban city like London?
Thanks.
P.S - O2 didn't buy any of the 2.6 GHz band, which is the reason why I'm not considering them for use in London.
Using O2 in Leeds and it is quite simply superb. Even in our village 7 miles out of town.

That is correct. They bought a large chunk of the 800 Mhz spectrum which has the best building penetration out of all three of spectrums on sale (800 Mhz, 1800 Mhz and 2.6 Ghz spectrum).

I guess Verizon updated the towers here in West Hollywood near Beverly Hills.
The stupid thing is that the speeds are useless for YouTube because I can't play an HD video without it pausing. We're already feeling the effects of the death of net neutrality.
To prove that I connected to my friend's Wifi and it loaded and fully buffered in less than a second. So, it's useless having those 4G speeds.

T-Mobile Xperia Z3 (D6616) - Band 12 Enabled in May 2015!!

Sony Xperia® Z3 - Software update coming May 2015 to enable LTE Band 12 700mhz!

w00t!!!
Very cool. I wonder what the max speed will be.
Typed on my Xperia Z3 while underwater.
I hope its a small update just for the band and not the full Lollipop delayed till May!
Root would be more exciting.
I have 50/15 Mbps now with Z3. How much more would it go?
It's not meant to speed up, it's meant to give better indoor coverage. Low Mhz bands like 700Mhz are good for that.
Another good side effect of better indoor coverage is better battery life.
I have once 82 Mbps DL in Seattle even in last year.
