[Q] Is there anyway to remove this annoying notification carrier name?

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to removing annoying carrie name notfication on notification bar as i mention with green circle. I'm using Gene Pooler Rom's which modify from at&t 2.2.2. Trying to edit status_bar.xml but it doesn't work!
If anyone helping me to remove this i will be appreciated a lot!
