Unbelievable Deal (If it's real!) - Kindle Fire HDX 7" & 8.9" General

I have NOT verified this deal. $149 for a 64gb HDX 7in. I wonder if these people are reputable.

(This is as of 6AM EST on Jan 28)

It's scam.
Price for other devices is very good too.

avobuy is infamous for being a scam:

[SALE] eLocity A7 "still" for $299

http://www.shopnbc.com/product/?fam...ciGB&chid=ciGB&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=V400561
Since the BJ's, TigerDirect (et al) and now J&R sales are over, found this one on ShopNBC currently at $299.67 + $7.99 shipping.
If that sale ends and you find another, post in case others are still looking for a deal

Well I'm selling a used one with a pleather case that doubles as a stand for 250 shipping included (lower 48).
If interesred: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=930177

the current prices going on ebay.de at the moment

2nd hands 16GB w/3G (most common) are going for an average of 350-450 (mint) incl shipping
if the seller has a paypal account that usually raises the selling price by about 50 euro. extra sleeves and SD cards also push the the price higher by 20-30 euro
(samples collected over 8 weeks, 29 sales tracked)
prices in the US seem lower
any one got an idea of that's a good resale value in europe?
considering that the cheapest you can get a 16GB w/3G and pen is 522 euro ?
I'll try to keep track of this...
And how is this development? Thread moved.
I got mine on eBay for 420€ incl Shipping
I just got mine off eBay US. Paid $405 for a 32 GB with keyboard folio and dock.
I was tracking a 64gb Thinkpad on ebay and was this >< to getting it today but at the last minute I got called by my boss and didn't update the bid amount and got outbid. it came out to be 423 USD.
Would have been sweet. Oh well.

Edit: Dec 19th,
Well its official, I've joined the Thinkpad tablet family.
Although I missed out on the 64GB deal mentioned above, I kept tracking other offers and there was one on ebay for a 32GB Thinkpad with keyboard folio, dock and stylus. All for $425. Considering that if I had bought it on Lenono it would have costed me $759 I think its a steal.
It should get to me by this Friday. I can't hardly wait.

[Q] Groupon lying about the Nexus 7 price?

http://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-google-nexus-7-refurbished
Can anyone here remember the Nexus 7 being listed at $260?
How about the 16GB version? It's list is now $199. It was $249 at launch, but not now.
List price is what the manufacturer suggests it should sell for and often has no relation to what it actually sells for. Kind of like the difference between retail price and street price. Sellers often use List price for comparison because it makes their deal look better even though smart people know it never really sold at that price. This groupon deal is bogus. Why would anyone pay $10 less than current selling price just to get a refurbished model with a shorter warranty (most are only 90 days instead of 1 year)? Only an idiot would look twice at that offer.
Groupon is a bunch of liars.
It never listed for $260, certainly not a refurbished model.
I often see their "deals" as sounding much better than what is actually the truth. Every so often when I see some heavily discounted product, I look up how much other sites are selling for. Nine times out of ten, you can buy the exact same thing for LESS than the Groupon price at a name brand retailer.
But in this case, the MSRP claim here is a flat out lie. It was $249 at launch, and is now $199. And just because the MSRP *was* $249 months ago doesn't mean it still is.

Amazon lowered price on Kindle HD 8.9

Not sure if many folks yet have caught wind of this but Amazon has permanently lowered the price on all the models of their Kindle HD 8.9" tablet.
I believe as of March 13, 2013 or there abouts.
I was lucky to visit Amazon.com and saw the price lowered for my Kindle HD 8.9" WiFi 32GB model which I bought from local Best Buy store with 30 day low price guarantee! I was just about at the 29 day mark and got my lowered price match refund.
So heads up for all the Kindle HD 8.9" tablet owners who bought it and are still within the 30 days low price guarantee! I saved $70 on my purchase because of this lowered price.
The lowered price is only for the Kindle HD 8.9" models and not for the 7" models.
Not sure if this info was ever posted anywhere in these XDA forums. I did not see any mention of it. So I posted this info here.
Also, on March 13, 2013 I've received an email from Amazon announcing the KFHD 8.9 available for sale in Spain!

Are good news to the few that have an USA 8.9 here in Europe, as soon they could localise the tablets in their countries with only one update.
