Yea, that was my thread I believe. The server I had them on mysteriously lost all my files. I will ask someone to post the files. I know Pete has some posted but it was brought to my attention that he changed some things so they are not technically stock.

That is the one to use for sure Love it!
Why is that thread only posted in the GSM section? You should split them, or copy and paste it in the 4G side too.

I've just been lazy, and I originally started that thread before xda split the Dev section.
I'll start a thread in the NS4G section soon.

Ok, so I was one of the lucky few who received the official T-mobile ota. I went under settings and it said Android 2.3.4. WTF???? I thought they said it was suppose to be 2.3.3? Can anyone else confirm this? Its very odd and Google Talk doesn't have video chat. How is that possible if its android 2.3.4?

Google Talk isn't guaranteed to have video chat in 2.3.4. It doesn't on the Nexus One.
I've only seem talk with video on nexus s and no other phones natively I think.

Alright. Thanks for the info. If anyone has more news on this topic, feel free to enlighten us.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Idk, did T-mobile and Htc intentionally opt out of the new Google Talk in favor of the qik t-mobile video chat app that comes with the phone?

I think it was Tmobile. That's their way of making you use their stuff. Mysense is T-Mobiles baby.

I received the ota so I didn't use a zip. But here it is:

Please read the thread I linked to before attempting to update. If you want to keep root, there is a rom of this update available in the forums

Hey, I have something for you.
as mentiond in the other thread OTA fails on rooted devices Kies works fine though.
Had to reapply CF root after update. Now time to expolore new features and work out how to restore unified search. I don't use it, I just want to stick it to apple.
So is the update good or bad? Should I update?

Had the update, and predictably lost root so re-odinised with CF-root 6.4 and no luck, phone knows its modified but no rooted apps work, updated the supersu from the market but no apps call on it anymore, its like its nor there.
Any idea's

You can use it with a program called Flashtool to flash your phone back to stock. Think of it as like a recovery image for a Nexus. It's also a way to manually update if you don't feel like waiting for roll outs.

But perhaps, we have nothing to do with our Z1s just yet.

After some research. I had determined that article to be false. Those builds for the Verizon note 3 are 4.3. I went to the download link which led me to the user who posted it. @DutchDogg54 is the contributor to that download. I checked his name here in the forums and confirmed, those are older 4.3 builds.
So. That being said, don't flash them.
Hope this helps.

Yea I saw those there is another link in the article that says it's for a kitkat download and I opened that link and it takes you to a download that's labeled recovery.tar not sure what's it's all about but I kind of figured it was bogus since I'm sure it would have been here before I posted the link

Yes, that site is posting bogus info. There is no 4.4.2 update for Verizon or several other variants. He has heard from me about this and about linking directly to my files which is a no-no. Sorry that you all had any confusion, but that's unfortunately what often happens around major version releases - people try to boost their sites click count by posting false information. Shame really.
To find all current and relevant information go to a trusted source - my thread in development - bold link in my signature. :good:
That's what I kinda figured
