[Q] Settings wrong on CFW or have Three (UK) Throttled me? - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How likely is it that my data is being throttled? been absolutely fine up until now, I am a heavy user and never experienced any slow speeds at all.
I have done some torrent downloading and only yesterday I decided to download the Omega Rom for the Note 3 via torrent and left it seeding, I then put the CFW on my phone. Is it likely to be related to that or am I being throttled?
I also tried posting on a previous thread but it was closed.
Did the Before and After Midnight Speedtest's

So am I another victim of "TrafficNONsense" or have I put the wrong modem/settings/firmware etc. on?
I am on the OnePlan which boasts "All you can eat data". Not sure if the APN settings are set up for PAYG or not as it sets itself up and there is no username or passwords in the box (Normal according to a few websites)

If you have used torrents on it, chances are Three have hit you with their Fair use policy, It's fairly common they may have assumed you were tethering.
However saying that, I rarely had issues with them but then my signal/download speeds was non existant.

Tethering is included in my plan - One Plan. When I signed up, they said there is NO LIMITS and fair usage is 1000 GB! (1 TB to you and I)
I used torrents to download the CFW (Omega) last night, it came down at 32meg! the "Non supporter" link was going to take 13 hours.

4G slowed wayyy down - any thoughts?

So for the past 2 days or so, my 4G speed has slowed down to like 50 kb download and 200 kb upload. Up til this point I was getting closer to 5 mb download and 1 mb upload on average. I called sprint to ask if they were doing any work in my area that would cause this issue, and they told me they have not had any other problems reported from anyone else.
I flashed the latest wimax, updated profile/prl. Any other ideas? As a side note, for the past couple weeks flash intensive website will only load 4/5 of the way on 4G. I have posted about this before, and while others have had similar problems, there does not seem to be any definite solution.
Experiencing horrible speed, and unstable connectivity in flushing NY.
Can't even open up web pages most of the times.
2-3 4g bars btw.
I've been experiencing the same issue also.. did a couple google searches on "4G throttling" and sounds like that may be the reason.
Hmm.. no problem here for me in downtown NYC:

Update:
I'm actually in SLC, Utah. I went into a Sprint store today that is about 3 blocks away from my house and tested the Evo there for 4G speeds to compare and speeds were normal. So of course while I am talking to the rep saying that for the past few days my speeds have been terrible, I pull my phone out and test it and of course it works just fine... 4G speeds were testing about 5 mb download.
Isn't it funny how things seem to start working at the most ironic times? Oh well, just glad it's working again.

Help and what happened - aospa browser downloaded 1GB of data.

So today I got this nice notice of Android that I'm reaching my mobile data cap. So as it seems, is that the aospa browser downloaded 1GB of data in the background during the night between 1 and 2 november.

I'm very concerned on what caused this and costed me €10 of mobile data. I deinstalled the browser from /system/apps for now. I don't use the aospa browser myself, I use Google Chrome.
Can I check somewhere, or in some logs what it did and what caused it?
BTW, the data is really used, and not just a bug in the "Data Usage"-tab, as my carrier states I only got 178MB left for the month.
Have u done any speed tests for the your mobile data? Usually that eats a lot of data; even just doing one test.

No, and besides that would turn up that the speedtest app would have consumed that data, and even in the background.
Specifically the aospa browser downloaded 1.05GB in the BACKGROUND.
Thread closed so the OP can create a new one in Android Q&A, as per request.

CM13: Slow LTE Speeds?

anyone else have issues with slow data when downloading anything or when using certain apps? though speedtest has always shown decent speeds, i've always noticed that downloading files or using apps like instagram or snapchat seem to take FOREVER to upload/download media. i ran an experiment this morning and have absolutely no idea wtf is going on but you can see the differences in download speed i'm talking about:
LTE speedtest results:

LTE right before i ran the speedtest above, here's my download speed for a video - a MERE 178 KB/s:
and here's me having connected to WiFi as soon as i got into the office, showing it's not a server issue where the above file is hosted:
should i enable/disable something? i've had to mess with disabling optimizing certain apps for battery consumption or whatever for random issues (notifications, not sync'ing, etc.) - could down-speeds be similarly affected with a random setting? FYI my 'bars'/reception show as full, on LTE, and speedtest results are quite high. i'm absolutely dumbfounded and because i'm currently taking an uber to/from the office (30mi each way), it's extremely frustrating as i'm on my phone the entire time.
TIA!
so no one? one bump before accepting the crappy speeds
I have the same problem with my galaxy s5 running the latest cm13 snapshot. I tried reverting back to stock and the data speeds were again normal (fast). But then i flashed back cyanogenmod and the problem continues... Stuck at 200kb/s

Improve Battery After Nougat Update

i have seen many comments in different threads about having poor battery life... i myself have faced this issue.. with my battery dropping like 5-7% while it's ideal to.. so many people suggested to full wipe my device but along with it i used a software BK DISABLER(SAMSUNG)...
i disabled all the apps along with samsung account(i checked shealth was still working after this but then i removed it seeing the number of services it had)
given in this link..
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/safe-to-debloat-s6-threads-t3090383
please check the second cmnt by @lizaSB..it's more detailed and apps are easy to find.. whenever you disable a bloatware be sure to check you have disabled the services given in it(using BK DISABLER.. obviously)
I don't know whether a seperate thread has been created for this or not... but after nougat update this really helped.. my batter falls like 0.6 or 0.7 % perhour when it's ideal...
I know many scripts are availabel for doing this but that requires root.. this app doesn't requires root privilege .
I feel battery for the S6/N5 family improved with Nougat, while the S7 line battery was negatively impacted. Moving to a spare S6 I had, as I had to send my S8 in to replace my screen, I'm getting quite decent numbers for a 2-year old phone that was used for most of that time by my mom (she changed phones recently).

If you use a credit or debit card they already get that %. LG pay isn't really changing that. It can however help with fraud. I travel a LOT and use one card almost 100% of the time when traveling. Hotels, meals, rental cars, restaurants, etc.... That card would get compromised and have fraud charges every 30-60 days. These issues were nearly eliminated once I started using Samsung pay. In the 2.5 years since I have only had two fraud charges on that card. Probably skimmed at a gas pump or restaurant. Unless I have no other option I will not hand over or swipe my physical credit card. I can't wait for LG to enable the same feature.
Even if you don't want to use it all the time it might end up getting you out of a jam if get somewhere and realize you lost or forgot your wallet. No problem. Just pay with your phone (assuming you didn't forget that too).
